the problem with finding Lamia art is that they're usually drawn wearing very little because muh desert race. I also didn't wanna post any with specific weapons, as the OP didn't specify. Most of what I have contains as little magical realm as I could find, honestly, but yes, I am aware that most of these will be magical realm, as the race is pretty magical realm.

this and the previous are the ones with weapons. The previous is more forgivable, as it's easy for most adventurers to come across daggers, but this one clearly promotes a specific fighting style. That's it for ones that aren't too gratuitous. The other ones are wearing "desert" clothing, which is code for a small top and lots of bangles and such.

There can be many benefits. The number one benefit is it gives you a lot more power on a downward stab, and you can hammer it down with your other hand too. The drawback is you have a lot less maneuverability and defense ability with it. Another upside, and I think the one this character's trying to take advantage of, is you can have your knife at the ready without someone in front of you seeing it. Because, of course, if you see a woman dressed like this, you clearly wouldn't be expecting her to have a knife or be untrustworthy at all.

Well to be fair for most ancient civs,(of this soldier type, looks sort of greekish - early roman) you had to pay for what you got. so if you were poor you were lucky enough to get a shield or spear to fight.
Besides looking at his shield it seems like practically the solider would be in some form of phalanx (shield wall) maneuver and wouldn't really require armor for the armor or legs. Given his buddies are covering him....

I really like it. I'll be far less selective with the weaponry than I was with the snakes, because I have fewer old scarred guys. They'll likely look much better, since they aren't magical realm, though.
Hey guys, long time ago I found an image of a Paladin on an art thread. Exact same pose, background colour and lighting. Would go as far as to say the art style was the same. Differences were a blond or white hair color, blueish armor, and the character was smirking.
