>>
>>46610871
Well, strictly speaking it's better than the alternative.
It's just weird without existing health conditions.
>>
>>46610871
Look, I'm just saying that the limb could have been saved the last time if we had a first aid kit on hand. It wouldn't be the last time the rules lawyering got so bad steel had to be drawn.
>>
>>46610871
At least hes prepared for when someone swings a katana at a dog.
>>
>>46610871
I've been in some groups with solid metal dice, with me wishing I had access to a first-aid kit just in case someone got salty and shit went down.

I keep a small kit with all the basics for everyday kind of injuries/health problems (bandaids, disinfectant, bug bite cream, tissue packet, pepto tablets...) in my backpack as part of the standard kit. Just pack it away and forget about it until it's relevant.
>>
>>46610910
What kind of DM would allow the players to make their own dice?
I mean, sure you need to trust the players a little. But this is an open invitation for them to play with loaded dice.
>>
>>46610910
this is a thing I really wish would become like, a common table-snack...

Better to have it and not need it I guess.
I have a small first aid kit that I leave in my car, just in case.

>first aid kit
It's no joke. My DM once lost a tooth during a session.

There wasn't even a funny story behind it. It simply popped out out because he had been fucking with it for years and apparently hadn't visited a dentist. I doubt a first aid kit would have helped, but it was a reminder that problems can happen when you least expect them.
>>

>Fuck nigger that is literally the stuff of my nightmares. I had that fucking dream two nights ago even.

I was dreaming about that shit for weeks after I saw it happen. It was a somewhat scary and disturbing experience, which reminded me of the importance of dental health.
>>
>>46621831
>>46622091
Loosing teeth in dreams is a subconcious reaction to you feeling you've lost your youth and its not taking that news well. Understandably this upticks when women find their first wrinkles, men start losing hair, or both gender start losing shape, find their first grey hair, and experience difficulty in previously easy physical tasks.

my favorite is when you're dreamingb and you get that odd pain like a giant popcorn kernal but all over the gum in that area rather than one spot and you go and check and notice your tooth's a bit loose so you just kind of wiggle it out of curiosity and then you feel that odd sensation again and for some reason your dumbass dream self actually just yanks on the damn thing and POP out it goes. Then you sort of close youe mouth in shock and you feel all of your teeth wiggle and have that sensation as they jiggle against each other and the loose ones that fell out when you first closed your moutg are rolling around in there.
Lucky mums a dental hygienist and harked on me growing up so i developed a proper hate of authority and dental care until it was almost too late and now i gotta nurture my babies like they're made of spun glass cause a fuck up now means they could be gone literally tomorrow.
>>
>>46622246
I can't be the only one that misses the sensation of losing your baby teeth, or imagines how good it would feel to have no teeth and just rub your gums together along your toothless jaw with your mouth closed. Something about it just appeals to me in a strange body sorta way. You might naturally lose some of your teeth bit by bit as you age but I want to wake up and just have them all missing, with the fresh sensation of gum against gum as I feel them rub. Totally unrealistic because of the bleeding that comes with initial tooth pulling but I can fantasize.
>>
>>46622532
Only bit i enjoyed about losing my baby teeth was the relief that came when they finally popped out. My gums were sensitive as fuck because i for some reason had quick eruptions and they didn't always wait for the baby teeth to make room so them popping out was an immense relief.
>>
>>46622591
Damn, that sounds awful. I lost my last baby tooth biting into an apple and I honestly fear I'll lose an adult tooth doing the same because genetics have fucked me dentally. My father had dentures by the time he was 30 with(so I'm told) good dental hygiene.

When it's not myself personally though, I love body horror and anything related. This talk of falling teeth is intensely interesting in that respect.
>>
>>46622246
I've never had any sensation of pain. They're just loose, feeling like they're snap tabs resting on top of their sockets, but no matter how hard I press them back down they won't click back into place. But if I relax even a little, they come free, and I get the most disgusting gagging sensation as my mouth fills with teeth and my tongue feels the wet, empty sockets on their undersides.

Alternatively, I'll dream that my front teeth have somehow locked themselves together with those below them, trapping my jaw in place and making it impossible to call for help from whatever other nightmare shit is going on, forcing me to either tear them free and scream or just desperately try to moan loud enough for someone to save me.
>>
>>46622246
>Loosing teeth in dreams is a subconcious reaction to you feeling you've lost your youth and its not taking that news well
Actually, losing teeth in dreams is a subconscious reaction to your actual teeth rotting.
Source: had those dreams every night for a year and a half after seven years of poor dental hygiene. Then I discovered that I had nine cavities, and had them fixed in one go. The dreams stopped after that.
>>
>>46622826
You probably knew, at the very least subconciously, was bad and what it would lead to which lead to feeling unattractive to some degree which is a common instigator for those types of dreams and then when you had them "fixed", you, at least subconciously, were reassured and thus placated.
>>
My upper two canines for some odd reason wouldn't descend even after the baby ones fell out. Just sat up there in the gums. So I had surgery where they cut open my gums, tied a chain around them, tied the chains to my braces and tightened them
>>
>>46610871
>he doesn't even have a basic First Aid certificate

Look, I'm not naming names here, Kevin, but if people don't know how to properly use the stuff in a first aid kit and gag at the first sight of blood then about the best they really should just leave it to the guy who does. About the best you're going to do, Kevin you bastard, is wrap a whole load of shit around an injury and maybe stem blood loss a bit before you black-out because you're a little bitch, Kevin.

Not to put anyone under the spotlight.

>brining a first-aid kit
Why would you brine a first aid kit? Don't they know that there are materials inside which could be water damaged, to say nothing about the use of salt water? It just seems like a pointless way to ruin basically the entire contents.

If I were the GM, I would definitely kick that player out. That's an emergency kit of supplies, not something for you to be dunking into salt water for the entire night! I mean, unless it's their own. In which case, I'd make sure they didn't spill any on the carpet, and otherwise they can do whatever stupid stuff they want with it.
