I'm kinda late to the party on this one, but did anyone ever bother statting out Undertale's Big Sad Goat Dad?

The problem with trying to stat anything undertale is that the whole game is so abstract. Functionally, every creature in that universe can be killed by a single child so they're pretty weak overall.

A single child who can endlessly reset time to learn their attack patterns until he wins. And a human's attacks aren't that deadly unless they have enough murderous intent for the monster's own magical body to turn on itself.

You'd need special rules to account for the whole in-universe rpg rules.

Gaining levels could provide damage bonuses against them, or players would have to rp as murderhobos to get max advantage.

HP already accounts for killing intent weakening monster attacks.

Or if you just want to want to capture some of the flavour of UT but have the monsters just be tabletop monsters, make King Goat a minotaur sorceror, lvl 12-16

Killing intent means dick since he dies in one hit and can only do 1 damage each attack.

A lot of his mechanics rely rather heavily on Undertale's combat system but we know that he's enormously strong, has a badass trident and some hardcore fire magic. That's easy enough to represent in and of itself but it's lacking any kind of real punch to it because we can't represent the two most noteworthy things he has going for him. You'd have to replace them wholesale with something similar but mechanically different.

1: Orange/Blue Attacks which you either have to be moving to dodge or standing still to dodge. Perhaps it would make sense to replace these with Unblockable/Undodgeable, Touch/Flat-Footed attacks or maybe just some kind of attack where you have to defend with your sense motive or something to that extent.

2: His destruction of the mercy button, now this I'm a little more stuck on. Some kind of ability that forces a confrontation and doesn't allow retreat. That feels a little meh for something so 'rules of reality' shattering though.

I think we'd need to define a system before making any headway.

If we want to go by fluff of the serie, it seems to me that monsters are actually pretty strong as their look seems to give, but they are weakened heavily in presence of a strong determination.
Just see the ice wolf in Snowdin: he was able to lift and throw ice cubes bigger as himself. At the same time, if he tried to hit an human, he would had done very little.

So, Asgore might as well been a CR 15 or whatever, but at the same time it would had something like "Its damage is reduced by % depending on the target's will score, and gets % more damage by target's will score"

Maybe you could make an attack that does damage whenever you moved or not during your turn?

Also, probably plenty of fire area attacks.


For the destruction of mercy button, he could make an aura that disallows teleporting away, running out the area, or allowing escape of any kind. It might fall flat so far 4th wall goes, but it could be done decently with a good description to still make him look badass.

This. Undyne just sort of suplexes boulders during your fight even if you don't see her super mode in Genocide Route.

Even then the problem is that depending how you play, said child can either be the vessel of a soulless abomination whose killing intent is amplified by his human sou-ahem, SOUL to the point of world destruction, or the child himself can be so innately powerful that another soulless abomination hopped up on 6 human SOULs and also every absorbed monster can't destroy him with his final attack-which deals infinite damage according to the game.

Assuming Asriel wasn't doing something like when he was Flowey and screwing with the meta interface to make himself look even bigger and scarier.

For destroying the Mercy button, there's both what >>46563966 said, and the option for some sort of Enchantment/Compulsion effect that forces combat.
