If you're not here for MtG then what the fuck are you here for? Rolling dice and pretending to be a transvestite dwarf mage while some fat autist sprays cheeto infused spittle everywhere and tells you you're playing it wrong?
>>
>>46539087
Put it in a creatureless or creature-lite spellslinger deck and watch it work as a telegraphed boardwipe w benefits. It either eats a removal or does amazing things.

>>46539505
I don't understand the benefit of it eating removal if you're going creature light/less. It's not like the removal is wasted on it. In fact it's far less likely to do something in that kind of deck because previously dead removal in your opponent's hand suddenly gets value when you drop one.

As someone that enjoys both MtG and Tabletop I can confirm that MTG is the hobby where 85% of the other players I met were overweight autists while 30% of the DnD players I played with were Airforce, and the rest were assortment of authors, artists, government workers, and designers. Oh and one guy that flips burgers.
>>
>>46539474
>if you're not here for DnD what the fuck are you here for? Spending $1500 on cardboard being hoarded by Jews so a fat autist can spray cheeto infused spittle at you and tell you how your format of choice is shit and if you were playing (better format) he would have stomped you?
>>
>>46539566
True. Yeah, it's niche. Maybe it can take pressure from your commander. Then again, if your commander isn't a horror... Yeah that's a weird one. Maybe save it until you have resources to get into a counterspell war.

Quick rulings question. Can I wait to play the copy created by pic in a later phase on the same turn or would it fizzle if I don't play it on the upkeep phase?
>>
>>46542868
Are you fucking high?
>>
>>46545166
You have to cast it as part of the resolution of the upkeep trigger.
>>
>>46545179
But sorceries can't be cast during the upkeep, or am I mistaken.
>>
>>46545220
The copy is cast/put on the stack as part of the resolution of the trigger (after trigger resolved, the copy's the highest item on the stack before anyone gets priority) so it doesn't matter whether it's a sorcery or not. See and compare: cascade.
>>
>>46545220
no you're right about that, but wrong about everything else you've ever known
>>
>>46545220

They can be cast as part of the resolution of a spell or ability

They are sorceries but you get to cast them at instant speed if a spell or ability specifically prompts you to cast it

To clarify, those spells ARE considered to be cast "as if they had flash" for the purposes of shit like teferi Mage of zhalfir, who will prevent your opponents' panoptic mirror from working due to his ability
>>
>>46545220
Because you cast it as part of the ability's resolution, it doesn't follow the normal timing rules. Same reason you can cast a Madness creature if you're forced to discard it on your opponent's turn.
>>
>>46543008
>It never transformed for me or anyone else who had it at my prerelease

Of course it's not gonna do shit in a fucking SEALED DECK tournament. That thing has "constructed" written all over it. And not just Constructed, but probably Legacy and Vintage constructed, where casting four instants is something you do normally by the second turn anyway.
>>
>>46545081
I kinda do love the set and the game store I bought it from is one of my favorite places so I guess it's still a win/win. Just a little bit disappointed that I didn't get any rares (or mythics, I only got one mythic) that wowed me.

>>
>>46548012
It can't eat a mana dork if they just use it to cast something pre-combat. Wouldn't work on Jace in Standard for the same reason, if it's a creature they can tap before declaring attackers Skin Invasion does nothing.

Is wolf tribal viable in any format? It's always seemed like one of the most anaemic tribes that should be solid.
>>
>>46548473
I think it might be worth brewing. But once you make a sideways deck, you're just comparing yourself to every other sideways deck. Werewolves will most likely be a worse aggro deck than Affinity/Burn/Zoo, and a worse tribal deck than Merfolk. I think it could be FNM viable, but that's it.

>Is wolf tribal viable in any format?

Nah. Too few good wolves, too few ways to create wolf tokens, too few cards that pump wolves.

I looked them up because I was trying to put support cards for Raised by Wolves into my draft cube. It pisses me off how it's such a flavor jackpot but they costed it at 5 instead of 4 so no one will ever use it. Good names should be reserved for good cards.

You can run this and Jace in the same deck meaning your turn 2 play will most likely something they have to deal with. For aggro, you've got a decent wall they'll have to waste at least a turn and/or a spell to get rid of it. It's great in the mirror because your opponent is less likely to be able to counter it on his t2. Against midrange, again, they have to deal with it or their board is gone. This card will be absolutely bonkers I have no idea what OP is implying. At the very least it will stall you some turns while you can get your land drops.

Value is super important whether you want to sell or not, because if you open a $100 box and get $36 in cards, it means you shouldn't have done that, you should have instead bought those cards for $36 and spent the rest on whatever else you want.

>>
>>46537487
Modern?

In my testing, this card can actually perform reasonably well in the sideboard of UR Storm in the mirror against an opponent on an Empty the Warrens plan. Also good against token decks, as the decks running this guy tend to benefit from the land off Path.

Card sucks against any deck that's just creatures and removal spells (i.e. GBx).
>>
>>46539576
you mean creatures turning sideways at each other

4chan used to be some sort of secret, inner circle thing, now it seems to be a household name.
>>
>>46548921
It's pretty ass against aggro. I was playing my Standard WW deck earlier on XMage, and TITI wasn't really a problem when I faced Esper.
A wall doesn't hold back 3-4 2+ power creatures very well, and when it flips my stuff is so cheap I can dump it all on the board next turn and race your fatty.
Getting hit with an awakened Shambling Vent was much worse.

I could see it being annoying in the mirror though. At 2 mana it gets past all the Standard playable counterspells.

The point isn't that it's going to stay on the board against aggro, the point is that it's going to save you some turns. Longer the game goes the more likely you are to win. Think about when Sylvan Caryatid was legal. Depending on the situation (in this example if you had the mana to cast Courser turn 3) you can afford to block a power 2 creature even if they decide to pump with Titan's. In the case of TITI you can do the same if you feel you need to or you can wait until next turn when you have a counter ready. You've got options and depending on what's in your hand you can make your decision. It's much better than the alternative, letting them getting free hits off with virtually no upside other than the fact you have more cards in hand which often times isn't going to win vs aggro
>>
>>46548841
