The primary differences between Red and Black are that Red is empathetic, impulsive, and primarily desires freedom, while Black is selfish, calculating, and primarily desires power.

So no, I feel like Liliana, who has no empathy for others and only desires freedom from the consequences of her actions in the pursuit of power, would not still be Liliana if she was red. Her selfish disregard for other people is one of her defining character traits.

I agree, but here's my spin on it.

Chandra, black, loner thief who uses necromancy and spirits as distractions to get what she wants. Explosive anger and quick to act recklessly, using drain magic to disable and incapacitate her enemies. While she sometimes resorts to killing, she prefers to leave little impact. She's tried partners, but they don't care for her Me First mentality, and her inability to see things their way. Fun for a short visit though.

Liliana, red, gathers artifacts and curses to make herself stronger. Allies usually get burned up the the dangerously large explosions. Used suicide elemental summons and widespread damage spells, as well as lingering damage enchants for sadistic satisfaction. Cares for for the concept of freedom than life itself.
