The only one I ever really knew of was Space Hulk.
Few years ago stumbled over Chainsaw Warrior, though. If GW really was a model company first they'd do minis for that game. Holy shit it's so corny you gotta love it.

It is coming back. You know that rumored AoS boardgame coming in the summer? That's it.
It's called Warhammer Quest: Silver Tower, or something like that. It's rumored to have figures of different races/factions in the mortal realms against Tzeentch followers/daemons, delving into the silver tower.

But I have to concur. If the minis are gonna be supposed to be fit for AoS they'll be overdesigned, cluttered and cheesy.
Simply put, AoS and WHFB are going for different target audiences.
It's not impossible for one person to like both, but rather unlikely.

It's a not!SpaceHulk game (No Termis, only squishy Scouts, no bulkheads and only one mission - Suicide!). It came out in Y2k, but flopped because, basically, Imperium players cannot win since the order of operations is
1. Scout acts
2. Xeno acts
3. Xeno ambushes scouts
so players routinely houseruled rolling init every turn so the scout player could sometimes go second instead and have some semblance of a sporting chance at survival.

I got it for $60 recently. Some models missing (2 heroes and about a dozen monsters) but they're easily replaced with look-alike and everything else is mostly intact.
Don't shop at ebay, people will jew up the price because they know they can get away with that, try local pawnshops, garage sales, stuff like that.

If you're interested in this, you could check out Patrol: Lost, which was created because game rules aren't copyrightable and GW were being dicks. The rules are public domain and there are some quite good tile sets that will only cost you some printer ink. I guess you could buy the official one if you with and think that's a fair price for minis and you don't have any other minis to play with.
