>Why would anyone spend points on terrain?
Do you want your pocket dimension to be a vast, empty (aside from your purchases and the monsters that infest it) limbo?
>>
>>46309467
Sure, why not?

I think you get infinitely more value if you take other options instead of terrain.

Yes, Yes I do. I'll buy the portal back to earth and then all the powers i can afford. Leave realm come back here and never worry about going back. Could spend another 10 pts for the portal to be indestructible. It's possible the mansion is indestructible as it's been there forever.

Thank you, guy who made that orc-rape CYOA. You somehow gave me this idea.
The quests became an optional DLC page instead: I said I'd post it Monday, but I didn't manage to write enough.
I guess that's okay, some people hate obligatory quests.

Your graphics continue to improve, desu. Colour choices are a bit saturated and the green could be a little brighter but it's not much of an issue.

Huh, this looks pretty extensive. Just from a skim it seems pretty neat, I'll work on a build soon as I can.

Question, though. When you said you couldn't finish some stuff for Monday, did you mean that you'll release more later or that you rolled with what you had so far?

This seems like a lot of fun, though I question the use of a green background. Still, it's not straining on the eyes, so no big deal for me. I'll make a build once I'm done with work.
>>
>>46309563
What the fuck are memories? Are those your stating points or are those points being deducted from something, if so, what? If they're your starting points, why the fuck is there a dash there.
>>
>>46309764
>newbie
Well 2bh I apparently confused you as to my intentions, despite using a sentence like "I don't like this either," because it makes perfect sense that I'm trying to secretly samefag by saying something like that, and you totally figured me out despite all my best attempts at hiding it.
>>
>>46309681
Like if you want to have your own realm to rule? To have an estate like the CYOA intends?
>>
>>46309773
The green is fine, actually. It could be a little more pale, though. I just don't think plain black text looks good on it.
>>
>>46309808
Really I don't think points are so tight that you won't be able to afford a decent amount unless you want to go Eldritch yourself. In which case, you're apparently a baby old one so you don't NEED all the other powers since you'll eventually grow them or something equivalent.
>>
>>46309808
I know the CYOA intends it in a fluff sense, but it doesn't make it an attractive choice in a points sense. What reason do I have to pass on a few more superpowers so I can get identical terrain to what I can have on Earth for free, at least points wise? There's no reason to put your realm into your demiplane, you get more value by just taking powers.
>>
>>46309851
On my end I don't see the point in min-maxing to avoid the point of the CYOA. I mean yeah you can, but is that really fun for you?
>>
>>46309764
Oops I should have been clearer, I meant the anon who made the Waifu Abomination one as far as what others did they make. The rest was aimed at kit. His looks good so far reading it.
>>

>>
>>46309874
Oh, that guy made the Worm CYOA, I know that much. Not sure if he did anything else.
>>
>>46309868
Yes? Imagining conquering a few countries is just as good, and the power build you take shapes that.
>>
>>46309851
Well, you sure can conquer something on Earth, but it's a hassle to do and to keep them in check afterwards and the powers are not SO powerful, you can still be destroyed by conventional weapons(even if you reform in a week). It's much more easy to have a ready realm with already fully loyal population.
>>
Starting my pre-planing on a crime empire/mafia cyoa hopefully I can think of enough content that it actually pans out.
>>
>>46309953
Don't forget the big four, Drugs, Smuggling, Prostitution, and Racketeering.

Also there should be a front business section, where you can build your cover. REALLY big criminals have huge fronts that actually function as real, legitimate companies.
>>
>>46309937
It sounds better than dealing with eldritch horrors. I mean if you're satisfied with a small demiplane you could just go conquer a remote island or something else that wouldn't be a hassle.

Dating costs one point. You can buy it several times if you're into polygamy.
The first time you buy Dating, it gives you a 1 point discount aka. it is free to date one person, but it will get expensive if you want a harem.
>>
>>46309793
Those are your stating points, just disregard the slash.
>>
>>46309589
I feel like some of those drawbacks are pretty extreme for so little return.
>>
>>46310411
Just wanted to say the same things; they're just not worth it. Defector for example, basically exchange at least 1 friend point for 1 character and gain a deadly enemy for it? Maybe double the point rewards?
>>
>>46309563
Does intelligence give you skills for free? On one hand they're going on about you mastering smithing and alchemy, on the other you might not have purchased any of those skills.
>>
What's your maximum capacity for flaws in your imaginary girlfriend? Past which point do you throw an autistic shitfit and declare her completely pointless regardless of her merits?

>>46310510
Think of it like this, how annoying/horrible/treacherous/disgusting would someone have to be that you wouldn't consider being married to them in real life? Unless you have REALLY low standards this should put you at a good starting place.
>>
>>46310458
Or at the very least have the troubles resolvable. Panic station and coma are just permanent fuck you overs for only one point. Like I think blackout and ashamed are fine because you can eventually clear up bad rumors or find the one who controls you
>>
>>46310510

The monarchy is over. With my massive charisma I'll be happy to serve as the leader of the new republic.

Power 3 + Bow is also hilariously powerful since the bow apparently responds to your strength and doesn't need to be loaded, increasing the firing rate. Spam arrows all day every day. Definitely a glass cannon though without defensive magic or skills.
>>
>>46309563

So what happened to my mother? Or is that some unexplored future dlc?

If you're taking solicitations for other avenues of expansion, might be interesting to see an alternative quest to return the old queen to sanity instead of letting filthy democracy flow among the undeserving(and unappreciative apparently) kingdom. Maybe even waifu her and get the throne.

Also speaking of waifuing, apparently the necromancer is a woman, so clearly you should be able to waifu her too, somehow.
>>
>>46310510
Why the hell would I imagine a girlfriend with flaws if I can have a perfect one? That's what imagination is for, isn't it? Not having to put up with bullshit.
>>
>>46310539
Hence the question.
>>
>>46310551
If you're going to just imagine everything being perfect, why bother with CYOAs? Don't constrain yourself with rules, just make yourself omnipotent and be done.
>>
>>46310508
I assumed it was mastering the theory, not necessarily practice.
So you might be able to write a dissertation on the subjects, but couldn't actually cast something to save your life.

>>46310257
>So, brighter green boxes?
Nonononononono.
PALE boxes. I'm not enough of an artist to explain exactly the difference, but add more white, not less non-green.
>>
>>46310510
>this is not a trollpost
>>
>>46310552
It's a bit too broad of a question to answer so easily. Number is probably the worst measurement at that, people are going to be more forgiving of a bunch of small flaws like "snores, gets gassy after dinner, enjoys Dragon Age games", over one major, unforgivable flaw like "eats babies".
>>
>>46310575
For new, interesting and stimulating ways of perfection.
>>
>>46310552
Then my answer is a range between 1 and X (and no, I don't have a formula in mind for solving X), depending on flaw severity.
>>
>>46310056
>>46310076
>>46310084
>>46310101
You can combine all of these images into one without needing a pdf, man.
>>
>>46310510
Lots of little flaws are significantly better than one absolute flaw. Things like "requires the kink you hate worst" or "holds the political opinion that annoys you the most and won't shut up about it" are things that wouldn't make it past the dating stage, while things like "is into a lot of weird shit" or "disagrees with you on a number of issues" aren't as bad.
>>
>>46310611
>"eats babies".
Also remember that this is /tg/. Most people here never have nor never will have a girlfriend, and their priorities in choosing one are basically alien to normal human beings. Observe the shitstorm that's going to ensue as I imply that most of them would rather their girlfriend eat babies than look at other men.
>>
>>46310675
I don't care if she looks as long as she doesn't touch.
>>

Chip me up with the kuudere circuit. Freezing a pool in seconds is some serious megawattage, there's a lot you can do with a heatsink of that capacity. Especially in aerospace applications. I could be a one-girl Skylon.

The chip will suppress my emotional responses in general, but presumably less so towards my designated target of affection. I might explore the romantic uses of ice powers as well; how much heat do I have to remove from a cloud in order to produce snow rather than rain, for instance? With a circuit in my head blocking out other emotional triggers, seeing my ToA charmed by something I did will probably become quite a big deal for me. I might even smile.

>>
>>46311289
No, I'm being comprehensive making my CYOA. There's a plant section and I want the 30 most interesting plants. This is a bit of a problem because I don't have much formal education in plants, not a lot of hobby interest, and there's something like 300,000 species of plants.

Technically animals have comparable numbers but there's so many animals that are morphologically distinct that you have a very easy time fillings things out, to the point where you have to select higher groupings just to include it all, whereas with plants I have to pick through every single genus looking over hundreds upon hundreds of flowers that are all functionally identical.
>>
>>46311390
I see.

This is a hell you chose for yourself. Or simply scale down your cyoa to include fewer plant options.

I have about 11 pages of animals, so I'd just feel wrong not giving plants a page (plus it needs to have an equivalent length to one page, which is 30 options.)

It's a hell I've chosen for myself, yes. But I'll endure. Hopefully. It's all worth it for including stuff like this one plant I found that produces organic flash powder.

I already combined fungi with animals though, since they're more closely related.

Also crystals, I've debated making a page for non-organic biology like that, but I've also felt that maybe it would interfere with the magic options where you can pick a modifying elemental theme.

>>46311925
Fungi are bothersome for the same reasons plants are, only fungi have even less to distinguish them on a functional level. Sorry, Mr. Mycologist, but I just couldn't come up with enough options that were functionally distinct.

>>46311960
I feel like people may be expecting something a bit different than what will manifest. It's not going to be a CYOA about science or anything, it's more that my profession is what's driving me to offer the breadth of options I am.

>>
>>46312086
Well, yeah, but it's not like RTS vs RTT, where I can kind of understand the fuckheads that completely fail at distinguishing them.
For fungi/plants and magazines/clips the difference is pretty blatant even to a layman. It's a bit like refusing to distinguish between mirrors and windows.
>>
>>46312067
You should just categorized your options based on domains, not kingdoms.
>>
>>46312009
Pretty sure you're saying that to the wrong person; I'm in favor of interesting choices over autistic accuracy.

>>46311959
And in the common mind, fungi and plants are close enough nobody'll bother BioAnon about it.

>>46312067
Like I said before, just offer two smaller categories (fungi and plants) on the same page, possibly with a note about its scientific placement.

>Fuck, I miss Kokoro Connect. S2 never.

>>
>>46312077

>>
>>46312122
The point is that even if you say "clips" or "plants" but are actually talking about magazines or fungi, nobody is going to misunderstand what you meant if they've been paying the most minimal amount of attention. That's why it's not worth being autistic about in anything but a very serious context. No, this isn't a serious context.

>Why would anyone spend points on terrain?
The way I read it, the Estate is your responsibility. You want powers? You have to maintain it. That's why it was given to you after all, the previous owner didn't feel like dealing with the Horrors. If you don't want to either he can just give it to someone else.

Terrain is necessary to support a settlement. People can and do live almost everywhere, but a flat expanse of nothing doesn't support life. You could still buy a settlement, but unless you immediately relocate them to earth they will die, quickly. It does raise the question of why they were even there to start with, but we can assume the demiplane is in a state of flux until you get it

As to why you would want a settlement, that's because otherwise you would be tasked with fighting off the horrors by yourself, or with whatever humans from earth you can convince to help you. That's PROBABLY pretty impractical. Even with help exterminating them completely is probably out of the question.

>In the common mind
"Living things that don't think or move" includes plants, fungi, and especially lazy autists.

With what, my friend?

>>46312690
Consider my offer. Maybe you can help motivate me and we'll churn out something good.
>>
>>46313282
No, it was the journal of a famous treasure hunter, and you were following in his footsteps.

So, a bit less than 30 minutes

>>46313181
>This is quite comfy for a saving the world CYOA.
yeah... there's a reason why I changed it from being "The Necromancer has been slaughtering people for three years" to "She's been kinda chilling in one place, and she even lets people leave if she wants to."
It was originally titles "Short and silly".

And yes, you can take multiple quests.
>You don't make it easy to choose companions
Thank you. I'll need to re-read it later when I'm making another CYOA. I'll have to do a proper Waifu-CYOA at some point.

And both the old + new Mystery Gifts
>>
>>46313284
I did two hundred push ups and four hundred sit ups today, cut a rose bush down to spring size, fought my way through a TSUNAMI of common ivy climbing over the walls.
What did you do?

Also fungi. are. no. plants. they are their own kingdom.
>>
>>46312690
>>46312843
Lewd angels are cute.

>>46313348
I really don't like these, though. They're boring and go against the prior theme and tone of the CYOA.
>>
>>46313287
I mean just being able to purchase as many tiles and minions as you have points for, and assuming everything else (space, food) sorts itself out or at least gets solved without spending points.
>>
>>46313395
Чтo eбaть ты пpocтo чepтoвcки гoвopилa oбo мнe, мaлeнькaя cyкa?.
>>
>>46313381

I think I will stick with the options from before.

I like this CYOA, personally.

Let's see...

>Good

(12 character point + 1 from drawback)
>Power 3
>Shield 3
>Intelligence 2
>Learning 2
>Agility 2
>Health 1

Drawback : Ashamed

(8 friendship points)
>Calming (-2)
>Taming (-1)
>Beauty (-2)
>Money (-1)
>Speaker (-2)

As quest, I shall choose "Beasts" for first! Then probably go to check out the sage, the lieutenant, yadda yadda.

With this build I got myself enough power and speed to do any "SUPRISE , MOTHERFUCKAH" entrances due being almost a living brick, and at the same time I will see to use my learning skills to learn both magic and combat.
Whatever it'll be, I have perfect basics to start from.
>>
>>46313423
Sorry but I've given up on the whole map/tile idea. Maybe, maybe I will make something in the spirit of it or continue it in a different direction.
>>
>>46312933
Darn, that was totally my plan. Even wrote out their curses, and the hidden curses.
Welp, so much for that April Fools CYOA. I already figured out all their curses, too. Back to the drawing board.
>>
>>46310510
Don't just add flaws to characters to make them feel balanced. Use the flaws as part of their person, otherwise you might end up making their character less interesting to balance them.
E.g: Blind girl is very curious and goes on asking questions or testing objects occasionally so that she may understand them better, or a sick girl with a permanent infection that is too prideful to let anyone else handle it.
>>
>>46313428
40 years ago, it was mandatory to learn that were I come from, now not so much, even if I liked to.
>>
>>46313499
On a scale of 1 to 10 that was basically a 30 as far as bad ideas go.
>>
>>46313499
I hope you'll still make and release that new "Cursed" Girlfriend CYOA, though, I just don't want it to become a CYOA that I'll just hide on sight.
>>
>>46313499
Autists will complain if their waifus have even ever talked to a man in the past. Just ignore them and make interesting characters. Don't intentionally make dumb shit either though, so whatever.
>>
>>46313395
Well, you've got the moving part down at least.

>in the common mind
This assertion was made aaaaall the way back >>46312139, saying that the functional difference (that is, to a casual observer) is negligible, no matter what the scientific difference is.

>>46313487
I was mostly using 'tiles' as another word for 'rooms'; it won't hurt much to let people buy 18 separate kitchens and say how they're laid out.
>>
>>46313514
it's just the first line of the navy seals copypasta in Russian.
>>
>>46313410
I don't disagree about the tone in regards to "fall from grace". "Clean Slate" actually fits in exactly with the other options and she might very well only be pretending to have amnesia

On the other hand though, Clean Slate actually works pretty well in regards to the canon.
>>
>>46313679
er, Fall From Grace works pretty well. Illias does eventually redeem herself, and if you took away the eternity of loneliness that eventually turned into a lust for power she could actually give up her hatred.
>>
>>46312690

Couldn't you technically take the sword and then do nothing with it? I mean you'd be squandering your gift but its a possibility. Perhaps it should draw Monstergirls in as well so its inevitable that you fight them.
>>
>>46313709
I'd like something that's more of a domina-style deal.
Most of these have dominant undertones, but are not overtly so.

Also, could there be something that is actually submissive and not just a girl forcing her sexuality on you?
>>
>>46313709
>>46313679
But it doesn't end with her fiddling your diddle.
>>
>>46313749
The point is Illias forcing her way into your pants, though.
>>
>>46313756
Yes it does.
>>
>>46313820
I'm reading Fall from Grace again and I'm not seeing it.
>>
>>46313278
Speak for yourself - I'm staying true to my human wife.
If we both have an issue we need council on at the some time, well, that's unavoidable.
