Iron Hands and Emperors Children were bros4life before the whole Heresy thing.
We know a lot of Emperors Children stayed loyal - how plausible/not-sue is it that some loyalist ECs would join up with Iron Hands survivors?
Also, how plausible/not-sue is it that this group (blackshields, shattered or whatever) would end up as a chapter of Pretty Iron Hands (TM) in 40k? Obviously of (at least mostly) Iron Hands geneseed, but with a distinct EC influence on their early culture.

I'm not really certain what effects such an influence could have besides a tendency towards ergonomics and elegant designs.
So basically Apple Marines. Far less robust but very sleek and clean looking.
