Has anyone alive ever played with this system? This book is from 1977 and looks like it was made on a typewriter. It's fascinating, I've never seen so many tables.

Ha, I read the first post from the main page. I got so excited I didn't look.
The special character background roll charts are pretty fun to mess around with. My group house ruled them for use with AD&D way back when and it makes some pretty gonzo characters. It doesn't really work with players who are bothered by having their character suddenly turned into a psychotic cultist or a storm giant though.
Haha, there's sexual dichotomy between player character genders in this game. This would cause so much internet rage if it were released today.
Living, breathing oldfag here. I've ripped a lot of stuff off of Ardruin, so many cool things. I've never run it by itself, or used absolutely everything, though.
I've always wanted to play a Phraint Gigolo (the White Dwarf class Houri, but male). In my head, he's a bit like the John Candy voiced robot in the So Beautiful & So Dangerous segment of Heavy Metal.
Stafford's Rainbow Bridge is a cool spell, if sad in it's origin.
The more I read this the more I like it. I could never gather a playgroup for this level of autism, though. There are definitely a lot of tables I'm going to borrow.

I lost my first ever character to the Arduin fumble chart, in the very first combat even. Before I even got a turn, my buddy's fighter rolled a 1, 98, and an 00 in succession and blew my head apart with his two-handed sword.

Honestly you could probably make a cool cRPG system out of this.
Played the later version once. It was completely insane in a fantastic way. We just ignored all of the actual combat rules, which are pretty terrible.
