Well, we're going to have words. Very few words. Words like "heretic" and "you're a".

Last campaign? GM realizes he threw something much too big at us, tries to tone it down a little during the encounter, and ends up unwilling to cause a TPK so gives us an easier out to killing him or dying.
Current campaign? He kills us. Don't know why, there's ACTUAL heretics all over the fucking place for him to fuck up. He can at least hold back a bit or help us retake the comm station to help establish the invasion's beachhead before killing us.

For most settings, TPK is practically guaranteed unless the party has an instant escape spell or something, due to how OP the 40k setting is. CR25-30 at the very least.

Insanely high will save, and even if he failed, he'd still follow explicit orders to kill you.
I cast teleport.
Probably on myself.

DH party... Well, we're in an IG base with some seriously itchy trigger fingers. I say pretty okay, given our tactics of 'run like bitches' and 'more grenades'.
Run, and die tired.
>>46191916
May I suggest an addition to your tactics?
Hallucinogenic grenades. Followed by regular grenades.

Does he have any supporting party members?

That requires more thought than "Pull the pins and run". Yes. All the pins. Funny story about that... So, one time we're tasked to take down this building full of suspected cult leaders (okay, vaguely involved people really) and we run into a bunch of hivers. We ended up dumping all of the munitions we had intended on using on the building in this fight as our psyker rolled some perils and was holding our melta bomb. To be fair, he was only holding them so our lolrandumb player didn't do this earlier. Ended up leveling five habs though the blast and resultant damage. We were "kindly" asked to never come back. Ever.

Pretty good. I mean, you can be asked all day and night, but when push comes to shove, you've got the rosette, and Mayor Dicksniffer can harrumph all he wants. The big =][= wants in? You got it. Former Mayor Dicksniffer has to literally roll out the carpet? Delicious, petty revenge.
I only suggest this, because it was the favoured tactic of our old leader. Lucky her, she had GQ Cyberlungs, so she never gave a shit. SOP was grenades, followed by sending the combat-psykers at the explosion.

That sounds absolutely gorgeous. I love my group, as retarded as they are. Oddly enough, my DnD group is alright. Feels good man.
