Play against other people on the Internet.

Try to play on 19x19 against other people of roughly the same rank as you, or if you don't understand 19x19 whatsoever then try playing on 13x13. Don't expect to win most of your games if you started a week ago is my advice.

Hard, probably. I'd say learn about shape - the shape of your collections of stones and what's sometimes considered "good shape" and "bad shape" - how effective these collections are. There's a pdf of a book called Shape Up! that I'm reading at the moment that I think that one can find on Sensei's Library.

I'm trying to read it at the moment. I thought that if you know what is _generally_ considered to be "good shape" and "bad shape" then you'll know what shape to try to make and there'll be less reading needed.

I respect you for giving go a go.

Koreans have the BadukTV channel as the other guy mentioned. It has had some periods when there was a free stream to watch, but as far as I know, there's no free stream right now. The Chinese used to have another TV channel with a free stream, but it seems they have stopped broadcasting. The Japanese have a televised tournament called NHK Cup, and the games are being regularly uploaded here:

This channel uploads some Korean professional games:

The best Go server to follow pro games live is WBaduk. They broadcast games from big tournaments on daily basis.

I was thinking, 9x9 is the smallest board which people,do serious tournaments on.

So if / when 9x9 go is solved, do you think the professionals will memorise the solution and professional 9x9 go will finish?
>>
>>46156588
>do you think the professionals will memorise the solution and professional 9x9 go will finish?
It doesn't work like that. You would need to memorize all variations as well.
>>
>>46156614
I know, but theoretically all that is needed is to memorise the correct response to every variation, starting with the most likely variations.

If you're a professional with years of time for go learning then would it be possible?
