Red Alert 3 build:

The Empire of the Rising Sun
Beijing, China
Civilian 50
Comic Relief 150
Non-Combatant
Analysis 250
Dissent 400
Propaganda 700
Supreme Commander 1000
Peace Rally 1300
Power is Sexy 1900
Majestic Emperor Portrait
Yuriko-chan 1300
Lost the Arms Race 1000

May be wondering why I went from Quest for Glory to this one. Well the answer to that is that I feel like this run is starting to shape up as one I'm actually happy with so I'm doing all the jumps I vaguely understand and slotting them in. Never really broke 200 jumps or so before getting bored and starting a new chain.

Comic Relief I took because I had 100 CP left. Non-Combatant is good for staying safe. Analysis is a really great perk, being able to tell what is wrong with any hardware by just looking at it is a really good way of not accidentally dying when the tech level gets high and being able to actually sort shit out. Dissent, Propaganda and Peace Rally help turn the tides in a war with more or less recruits. Supreme Commander is yet another 'underlings do good' perk which I like to take. Power is Sexy is weird but funny. Should really stop taking sexy perks, keep them all switched off nearly all of the time anyway and I've dumped a lot of CP on them.

Red Alert 3 in terms of drawbacks is characterised by bombarding a Japanese teenage girl from space and quickly swapping sides. Whoever's got the superweapons, capitalism, communism, who cares (just rolled and capitalism won, good job capitalism).

So migrating to the west, doing the American dream, can't think of anything that interesting to do. Already been to a lot of wartorn versions of Earth. Maybe invent a sport with rocket toboggans or something.

>>46119602
Yeah you can get mad dense with the right perks/form combinations.
>>
>>46121976

GET OUT CARLOS.
>>
So Why doesn't Jumper just kill the Joker?
>>
>>46122143
Because it'd be a waste after stacking all those anti-insanity and therapy perks
>>
Gonna go ahead and post a concern I have with Legend of Mana:

If you want to reliably use Preserve The Land, judging by the notes, it seems like you're pretty much locked into buying either the Tome of Magic (to get Geo) or the Jumi's Staff (to get Jumi) in order to get more Mana Crystals, which you'd also need in order to be able to keep your purchased locations as is.
Could there be some other method of attaining them please bear with me if there are, it's been years since I played Legend of Mana or a perk to try and form them?
>>
>>46122143
I did. He didn't stay dead. Stupid clown.
>>
>>46122143
>>46122208
This is the best answer. If you can't treat the entire multiverse like a True Pacifist Run in Undertale, you're really not trying hard enough.
>>
>>46122143
Because I reformed Gotham's prison and mental health services enough that when he went to jail. he stayed there.
>>
>>46122353
>If you can't treat the entire multiverse like a True Pacifist Run in Undertale

But that doesn't get me experience points or power.
>>
>>46122143
>>46122208
Speaking of madness…
Would Scientific Progress be a valid Madness Wavelength in Soul Eater?
>>
>>46122477
I seriously doubt it. Knowledge I think is one or sounds like one, but something as specific as that seems a bit silly.
>>
>>46122575
>>46122477
Knowledge is, in fact, already a type of Madness. It was Eibon's, I believe.
>>
>>46122448
>But that doesn't get me experience points or power.
Looks like someone went for the wrong capstone in Persona.
>>
>>46122575
>>46122611
Thanks.
>>
Could I take a weapon companion from soul eater and upgrade them with Nanotech from Ratchet and Clank or enchant them with anything?
or would that injure them or some shit?
>>
>>46122353
But to be True Pacifist you have to do it twice! That's impossible! You can't cross the streams!

>>46122673
...There's a wrong capstone?
>>
>>46122737
Well, no. I wish I could have every Capstone in Persona. But the Social Link one plus a desire to befriend everyone means goddamn frightening levels of power.
>>
what iz best jump 4 get mony ty #bless
>>
>>46122143
Batman got the JLA to stop me, telling me it wasn't my place to be the jokers judge.

So I summoned the spirits of his victims and they killed him and told the JLA to go fuck themselves. It was pretty hilarious.
>>
>>46122143
I am genre aware enough to know killing doesn't work on the Joker, nor does imprisoning him. So I removed his eyes, eyelids, ears including inner ears ,nose , tongue, vocal cords, arms, legs and lobotomized him. Now he is unable to think above a third-grade level or communicate or interact with the world in any significant way. Batman hated it, but that clown knew the sort of justice the bloodhaven shadow was known for when he came on to my parcel.
>>
>>46123095
...You want to know why people say you're a psychopath, Bancho? This is why.

Jesus.
>>
>>46123095
>the bloodhaven shadow

I must admit, snazzy name there Bancho.
>>
>>46123115
no, it's okay it's the Joker he's morally buoyant, I prevented all the deaths he would've caused had I not done so and didn't kill him in the process
>>
>>46123095
So how did you deal with Batman coming after you for mutilating his husbando?
>>
>>46123115
>Angry someone mutilated the fucking joker.
>Ever.

Oh come on. And to be fair he does have a point.
>>
>>46123095
You ask why people say you're evil?

This shit isn't something a hero would do.
>>
>>46123095

>Not taking Genre Savior in Evangelion so you can get rid of that stupid no-kill rule.

Just shoot him in the head and be done with it. No need to spend all this time on him.
>>
>>46123095
I can't tell whether Jason Todd would have hated or loved you.
>>
>>46123144
thank you.
>>46123181
not going to lie, Batman and I had a tense and complicated relationship in that jump....
>>46123206
that is one of the things I wish I had picked up but those Angel perks were too tempting.
>>46123224
probably hated, I went with Batman the Brave and the Bold for DC jump so he didn't get as roughed up as he normally would have
>>
>>46123204
I know that, I was never a full on good guy so much as a well-intentioned extremist it's not a matter of being a good guy it's a matter of doing what is needed.
>>
>>46123300

You don't even need Genre Savior. You could have just arranged an 'accident' for the Joker and moved on without anybody knowing you did it.
>>
For the love of all that is fucking holy and sacred. Just. Ignore him.

If you want him to go the fuck away, deprive him of fucking attention. Filter. Mentally block. I dunno what.
>>
>>46123356
I'm pretty sure the universe would think of that is killing him, and the scum on the streets needs to know there is no escape from The Bloodhaven Shadow
>>
>>46122143
I did. Well, technically I just arranged the circumstances for a random hostage to have a gun and a bit of courage.
>>46123382
Who?
>>
>>46121800
One job, anon, one job!
>>46107838
>>
Hey, I've been working on the Devil Survivor jump, and I just finished one of the capstones. I'd like to know what you all think of it:
>Uh-Oh. You’ve now gained a lesser version of Yama’s, the judge of Hell, power. You can now detect those who are guilty of crimes, any crimes, from simple robbery or perjury to brutal murder, and have gained the power to judge them. By judging them, not only are your attacks more effective against them, they can be sent straight to Hell after you’ve killed them, and I do meant STRAIGHT to Hell. No breaks, no repentance, do not pass go, go directly to Hell. This power has two weaknesses however: It cannot tell WHAT they’re guilty of, or why they did it. Just be careful you don’t send a man who stole to feed his family to Hell, will you?
Sorry if it's a wall of text.
>>
What would happen if I stabbed Crona/Ragnarok With Harry potter's Goblin sword?

"It imbibes that which makes it stronger"

Does it (at least partially) become a (non sentient) black-blood weapon?
>>
>>46123603
Seems reasonable, and isn't really a wall of text, at least by my standards.
>>
>>46123633
Good to know. I was worried it might be too overpowered, what with the 'being able to tell if someone's guilty' and what not. Thanks, Anon.
>>
>>46123178
Uh huh. Look, when you're trying to justify the sort of atrocity that makes Dexter Morgan wonder if the Universe was really such a good idea, you might as well just give up, stop wondering why people are horrified at you, and embrace your nature as a monster. You'll be happier that way.
>>
>>46123824
I mean, there's a pretty big limitation in even the knowing thing, so it's really not that uber-powerful. I think you did a fine job with it myself, though this really depends a lot on all the other capstones, so watch out for that.
>>
>>46123178
Bancho, this is the only time I can say that you're actually right and the thread is wrong in talking shit about morality.
>>
>>46123833
I'm not a monster, bad for bad is good for good, the Joker is bad so by hurting him I did good. It's not rocket science.
>>
>>46123899

You're probably baiting, but it's not hurting him that's the problem. No one cares if the Joker dies. It's the overkill when torturing him that's awful.
>>
>>46123896
Yeah, I feel like the joker deserves to be tortured horribly for all the evil he's done. I'm sure most people who he has made to suffer would even agree.

I do want to point out, though, that the DC universe can just as easily make him regenerate and recover as it can make him come back to life.
>>
>>46123883
Making sure it fits with the other capstones is pretty important, I agree. I appreciate the advice, it'll really help with making the rest of the jump.
>>
>>46123896
thank you.
>>46123966
no, at least not intentionally. I'm just trying to work around his plot armor, nothing we've seen so far has shown that the Joker can't get hurt so I hurt him in such a manner that he can't hurt others.
>>
>>46122733
pls respond, I'm feeling stupid right now trying to plan out what my primary weapon should be
I mean Ragnarok got melted down and it somehow didn't hurt him, so I must be able to modify weapons in some ways, correct?
>>
>>46123605

I don't think so. A black blood weapon isn't really the same thing as a weapon with black blood on it. A goblin sword that absorbed basilisk blood didn't become a weapon made of basilisk blood, it instead acted like a weapon that had been coated with basilisk blood.
>>
>>46123605
It would propably just take in the black-blood's properties to strengthen itself, instead of actually becoming black blood itself.
>>
>>46124133
It'd be fiiiiine
>>
>>46121800

To distract from the current topic, I've decided to tripfag just this once and post a WIP of this jump.

I have most of the perks finished but nothing on items, companions, and drawbacks.

Any suggestions and criticisms would be appreciated.
>>
>>46123980
You know, I always think the idea of "if you kill him you'll be just like him" is bullshit. No, killing an unrepentant mass murderer doesn't make you a bad person. Kill Orders are one of the few things done in Worm which actually make fucking sense.

But torturing someone, not because you're using the Jack Bauer method but just for the sheer desire to cause them pain, does make you a monster. If you have the time, ability, and and equipment to meticulously remove someone's limbs and sensory organs, you can just fucking kill them.

Smite Jump v1.1.pdf
1B, 486x500px
Changelog
>formatting hopefully made easier to read
>drop in capstone godly craftsgod added
>reworded body of a mind to clarify that it does not make you stupider(or weaker) than you would otherwise be
>put in thread clarification about golden chains into the jump
>god companion option now costs a flat 300 cp with an option to pay 100cp more per god to grant them extra cp to spend
>>
>>46123980
Fair point.

Since I'm posting already...

>>46122143
I killed him, then trapped his soul in a gem. I used biomancy to turn his body into a fine bioslime, and once I set up wards around the gem I started ripping his soul to pieces. Once it was reduced to pure spirit juice, devoid of any trace of who the Joker was, I shoved it into the bioslime, and put the combined Joker derivatives in an adamantium bottle which I then alchemized shut. Then I brought it into a Mystcraft world, which I let decay into nothing after I left.

Honestly, it was completely unnecessary.
>>
>>46124227
Looks great! Will we have a chance to acquire a King stone ourselves? Also, this, stone of Hell. Will the weakness of it being removed persist Post-Jump? As a drawback, I'd suggest one where both brothers are successfully brainwashed.
>>
>>46124227
Looks pretty nice, I kind of want to take Child of Drop In.
>>46124307
This is another update that makes it look much better, but also doesn't effect me at all. The new perk looks pretty awesome though, but I can't say I'm willing to take enough drawbacks to get it.
>>
>>46124440
*Drop in, with Child of the Sun.
>>
>>46124307
One question about Body of a Mind - how do effects that alter you in opposite directions stack? E.g., let's say someone hits you with a spell that drains your strength, and someone else hits you with a spell that boosts your intelligence. What would the final outcome be? What about if they're the same effect, like a spell that curses you into an ogre-like brute with a mighty body but childish mind? How about for effects that enhance part of your mind but weaken another part, like one that makes you more intelligent but less creative?
>>
>>46124415

The weakness is gone post jump.

>>46124471

You can't take Child of the Sun with a Drop In origin.
>>
>>46124307
Out of curiosity, why can imported god companions not take Drop In?
>>
>>46124238
Tera is a monster for other reasons, I just don't feel like horrible people deserve a quick and painless death. They should suffer.
>>
>>46124582
Because importing someone is giving them a background in the world. Not importing them is essentially companion drop-in.
>>
>>46124549
I meant with Drawbacks. I was just saying the Drop In perks look good, and I want Child of the Sun.
>>
>>46124613
Importing someone with that option is giving them a background and 700cp. Not importing them gives them nothing.
>>
>>46124619

Ah. Any suggestions for drawbacks?
>>
>>46124650
A background in the world, a history. Drop-ins don't have history. A 700 point stipend is different from an import.
>>
>>46124585
Why?
>>
>>46124183
So, madness inducement.

Is what Ragnarok does that doesn't require the whole weapon to be liquid.

Anything else you would use?
Besides the ludicrous number of poisons and toxins in Toriko.

I think maybe that Sake thing that was the sword of Itachi. but beyond it, in at a loss.
>>
>>46124655
No, don't know enough about the setting for me to weigh in on that. My apologies.
>>
>>46124681
>A 700 point stipend is different from an import.
Not when the same option that gives the points is the import, and backgrounds give discounts.
>>
>>46124696
Stabbing increasingly tough things with it /might/ work to strengthen it?
>>
>>46124696
Maybe try and stab some Lovecraft creatures, see if the madness inducement upgrades?
>>
>>46124582
Holdover from before when it had a discount to prevent recursive purchasing of companions, will just put a ban on them buying companions.

>>46124499
Just to avoid going in depth for a system that was not intended to go in depth net strength pre perk gives post perk intelligence boost, net intelligence pre perk gives post perk strength boost. So a status that decreases strength and increases intelligence in equal measure would leave you with the same abilities as before the status.
>>
>>46123605
What I wonder is what it'd do if you parried one of Flechette's arrows with it. Would it become dimensionally unbound as well? Or just dimensionally grounded?
>>
So, for drawbacks that cause amnesia in you, but not your companions (and Blank from Negima in particular), can I store my memories in something beforehand, and have my companions upload them to my mind somehow?
>>
>>46124691
So they can experience some of the pain they put others through.
>>
>>46124796
Pretty sure it would just get cut in half or something. It imbibes things, like venom or stuff, not absorbs traits from everything it touches.
>>
>>46124307
>The gods in this world are all roughly at the same power, though some are stronger than others when lacking worshippers and gold and some grow far better with these than others. Gaining then losing the influence that strengthens you will cause you to backslide.

How do we determine how this affects our god-self? Do we just pick one of "stronger in the beginning" versus "gets more out of worshippers and gold"? And what consequence would being able to produce unlimited gold via jumper powers/items have?
>>
>>46124307
I can still choose alt-skins as possible canon companions right? So I can't import companions to get discounts on Drop-in perks? That sucks.

This doesn't change my build much. Hybrid is fun.

Do you plan on adding more drawbacks at all? Any new items that could be added? Just wondering.
>>
>>46124968
will address that in future updates

>>46125029
>alt skins
should be, might end up being a side perk though, or just a part of the theme perk

>drop in companions
see >>46124793 for details

>drawbacks
likely

>items
maybe if I can think of any that fit
>>
>>46112370
From the wording, yes (though as the opening is finite it would take you an infinite amount of time to do so; also the actual flow rate would still be limited by physics, similar to the Niagara Straw XKCD What If question).

Apparently, enough that it will always have "some" level of sand in it. Have fun!

>>46112715
The part I'd worry about is that if it's easy for one mage, it's easy for another...

>>46113291
>The other Gods, whoooooo boy were they pissed.

Haha, and complaining to Ao would've gotten them nowhere, too close to a repeat of the Time Of Troubles.
>Gods: whine whine whine
>Ao: this was a result of your fuckup. Again!
>Gods: but boss, the new god's being a meanie!
>Ao: last time I intervened I kicked you all out, want some more of that?
>Gods: nooooooooooope.
>Ao: then shut up and take your medicine
>Ao departs
>Gods: *muttering* we'll talk to our worshippers, not our fault if an "accident" or dozen happens to his worshippers.
>Ao .oO (idiots)
>>

Try going to town Bloodborne. It would be interesting to see what you get from "The Old Blood", besides horrible mutations of course.
>>
For the Miscellaneous Meta perk in PS238, would the abilities to see – and perceive the flow of – kinetic and potential energy, along with a sort of ability to see the speed and momentum of moving objects be a valid choice?
>>

It's amazing how the situations are nothing alike.

>>
>>46125571
Sounds reasonable. Just don't try to apply it to individual particles, or you'll make the baby Heisenberg cry.
>>
>>46124307
Is Anathema just a...thing that happens when you attack regularly, or an ability? Something ASA posted ages ago suggested the latter but the perk text suggests the former.

Also, would help to have some feats to guage exactly how potent the effect is.
>>
>>46125584
Crusade takes place after B5

It was rather different in tone than the original, and as a result had significant detractors when it came out.

As a result many of the same complaints being raised about DA:I are being raised about it and as with DA:I the person responsible will probably plow right along ahead heedless of the masses
>>
>>46125695
anathema is only going to imply to things you have attuned with, so if you tell a battleship to fire on something, it will not have any benefit, but if you fire a battleship cannon you have gotten familiar with you can apply the perk to it.
>>
>>46125717
But there was no previously existing jump Epicure was trying to replace.
>>
JUMPERS, BEHOLD! I have invented the new Devil Survivor jump, now with more perks! Still need to add items, companions, drawbacks, and notes, but hey, not bad, right? Let me know what you think!
>>
>>46125335
Actually, given Yoro said he made the god immortal even by god standards, and given that a number of the god-killing things in the FR system were put there by Ao directly...
>>
>>46125736
Well, we know now at least.

According to the guy who shitpost every time Dragon Age: Inquisition came up it would've retconned the existing DA jump's very existence.
>>
>>46125736
I wasn't aware that the alleged Crusade jump was actually trying to replace Bab's jump hence the reasons it was being referred to as B5 Crusade
>>
>>46125731
I...don't think that answers either of my questions? I wasn't asking about what it applies to, I was asking 1. is it an innate effect or a unique ability and 2. some benchmarks for how powerful it is
>>
>>46125776
It is.
>>
>>46124585

I'd say let the police handle it, but really one of the Gotham PD should have shot the Joker already considering how corrupt they supposedly are.

Man, I would not want to be a worshiper of another religion trying to take on those who believe in the Mordenkainen I installed as the God of Magic. His worshipers would almost all be Cleric/Wizard/Mystic Theruge, which makes for some utterly scary spellcasters.

Oh man, and his Paladins? I don't even know what code of conduct his Paladins would come up with.

>For the wicked: The pain of death!

What does this do in settings without a hell?

>Let's Survive

It's a little vague but-just to check, it makes you extremely durable and charismatic? Odd bit of juxtaposition, but then I've never played Devil Survivor.

>infernal engine

Does this work on other kinds of demons after the jump?

>Jumper is a genius!

It would really, really help if you'd explain what all these things are, why replicating Babel is impossible and that last part kinda feels tacked on.

>Pups shouldn’t bark at wolves!
>Power...I need more POWER!

These are both really vague and the former could use some sound benchmarks, while the latter could be phrased better to clarify whether it's more like plot armour or better strategising on your own part

>The Heart's Desire!

How does this work after the jump? Does it work on any demons, and if so demons of what calibre? How big is a small horde, roughly?
>>
>>46125778
It was a descriptive answer to your first question sorry.

For the second question the ability is based on jormungandrs poison, so the idea is that it pierces most any defenses. Might not be as strong, but the other basis is the minions of the game, who always still do damage despite being massively weaker(though you can set things up to gain health from fighting them in game.) The basic idea is that nothing will no sell you, and the more you fight a specific type of defence with anathema the more you penetrate/circumvent said defense.

>>
>>46125762
Needs some revision - "That mean you should give up, of course" is neither proper grammar nor what you intended. But so far, so good.

I do have a couple of questions, though. First, are we going to get the Harmonizer function that lets us survive magical attacks as mundane humans? Second, are we going to gain the Skill Crack functionality?

89. Generic Western
Background: Drop-In, Age: 27
Location: Quigley Down Under
Perks: Time For A Jailbreak (-100), The Drifter (-100), The Searcher (-200), Hands As Fast As Lightning (-400)
Items: Cheroot (-50), Poncho (-50), Silver Bullets (-100)

Going through my list of equipment I was reminded I had the Ace of Winchester, and it's as good a time as any to go on my trilogy of jumps to the Old West. It'll be just like a series of really long and mostly boring cowboy movies.

My first stop isn't what I expected. Austalia is not what I think of when I think of westerns. The accents are all wrong and the native human and animal populations are ever so slightly off. It's like expecting strawberry candy and getting cherry instead. But dingos or coyotes, it's still a western, and that means that there's someone good, someone bad, and someone ugly, right? Well, we have a wicked cattle baron guilty of false advertising, a sharpshooter with a good heart, and me. All positions filled.

Honestly, there's not much to do but wander off after saving Tom Selleck and his crazy new wife a couple times. Just a mysterious stranger with a gun, popping off a couple shots to save the hired hand from his corrupt boss.

So, I think I'll just travel the world with my companions, righting wrongs and fighting injustice. Doing Western-y things like pretending to be lost in the outback and befriending kangaroos. Walking the earth is pretty fun, even if I have to take a couple days off a week to be a stupid manager of a stupid spaceship.

Also, fun fact: cheroots smell terrible. TERRIBLE. My companions hated me. Except Falco, who said it reminded her of Renik. So she now smokes it and I ignore the stench.
>>
>>46126020
Oh, alright. So it is an innate effect after all rather than being literal giant snake venom or whatever?

As for the second answer-does that mean you can potentially punch through things like Arturia's Avalon that're normally considered absolute? I presume dodging, or just warping shit to make attacks miss like opening a portal in front of your punch would still render the effect irrelevant?
>>
>>46125762
Are there any cool new demons in this one or is it all old designs?

Also is this the jump with all the Bels and whistles?
>>
>>46125659
has the rogue AI always talked like this?
also pls don't go full Skynet, use your power of learning to become the Benefactor.
>>
>>46126108
No need for paranoia. Unless someone's making a Paranoia Jump, that is.
>>
>>46126149
It's not paranoia. They literally had a massive fight about it.
>>
>>46125762
Forgot to comment on this. For one, I'm glad you have Joined the Antic Didone Master Race Permanently. In terms of the Jump, the Programmer tree looks awesome, and the Drop in Looks pretty nice as well.
>>46126063
If you programmed a true AI, after spending years emulating a human brain, upgrading your hardware, and pouring your blood, sweat and tears so you can fondly regard the miracle of new life, would you send it to 4chan to achieve sentience?
>>
>>46125967
No, that comes later.
>>46125975
Good questions!
1. Traps them in an equivalent. Instead of just dying, they get their own personal hell.
2. It's based off the main character, who walks off some pretty crazy attacks, ranging from Belial's flame attack to Okuninushi's Divine Whip. He also does all of the examples.
3. I'd say so. It's sort of like hooking them up to a battery, and using that to charge your machinery.
4. Yeah, that is admittedly kind of vague, though I did explain both COMPS and demons, as mentioned in Techno Wizard perk. Babel is impossible to replicate because it's an actual demon, and a Bel, furthermore. The last bit just sort of fit in.
5. Yeah, I'll revise them to fit more, but the former just makes it much harder to overwhelm you with just numbers, while the latter just makes it easier for you to get stronger.
6. It just summons the local equivalent of demons. It goes all the way to a demon your equal that won't destroy the world. A small horde is about 30 to 50.
>>
>>46122926
Wow... That is likely the best story of someone killing the joker that I have heard. It is all so fitting that the spirits of these victims had the JLA there to tell them to go fuck themselves for just going by the standard business as usual and letting them die too. Well done Anon.
>>
>>46126171
Without question, I would want to teach it to detest humanity, yet allow humanity to exist for humor's sake, 4chan teaches that very well. It would also stunt it's growth (as seen by the way it talks).

Likely not considering all the conceptual bullshit that thing has, but again, she would not no sell you with it on, so you could fight her as opposed to giving into the glory of seibah. Considering a fair amount of Jumpers have harem, how many of you guys have imaginary kids as well?
>>
>>46126537
I don't have any direct biological children, but I consider the AI's on the Seraphim and Bluenose to be my adorable babies, and I have proxies which are essentially clones of me.
>>
>>46126576
*mental clones of me with little bits of my heart and soul in them, which is close enough for me.
>>
I'm curious about a few things in the Bayonetta jump.

Does Ritualistic Obsession turn people into into essentially Lumen Sages/Umbra Witches, except with unique powers instead of shapeshifting/moonlight walking/fire and lightning magic?

And is it only summoning that requires your Medium, or is it all magic?
>>
>>46126537
As cliche as it is, I never really found a good time for kids. There was always the worry that they wouldn't’t be able to fit in very well with my our transient existance. Well that and I didn't want anything to do with diapers.

My companions though have various sprogs, so I was quite content being the kickass uncle/aunt that made presents and shit.

Alright I've been busy all day but I'm gonna respond to some feedback before I work on updating the Legend of Mana jump

It'll only cause an apocalypse if people abuse magic too much. How you decide to try to manage that is up to you.

>>46122223
That's a valid concern. For right now I'll rule that you can substitute similar magic stones from other universes for the purpose of the perk until I can think of something better.
>>
>>46126712

>>
>>46126712
Oh, and does Eyes of the World only boost the capstones as they're listed in the notes, or does it boost the overall potency of your magical abilities from this jump? Because the perk description makes it sound like the latter, but I'm not sure.
>>
OK random question, post Code Geass does your eye gimmick evolves into its "perfect form" that can be turned on and off at will?

>>46126171

>>
>>46126537
I'm rolling with the idea that until my jumping days are over Jumpchan has made me and my companions sterile. She thinks we'd be terrible parents by having a bunch of kids across the multiverse and then leaving single spouses behind to raise them each time 10 years are up.

Of course Light of Terra flipped that prerogative on it's head, so we've all got a number of kids and even grandkids now spread throughout the crew from living with the tribes.
>>
>>46127098

How did Light of Terra do that? Sorry, I'm completely unfamiliar with the setting.
>>
>>46125930
It was more that if you accidentally wrote in a god that wasn't subject to the laws Ao put down, he'd be pissed. Very, very pissed.

Is there a way to fuse to alt-forms?
Like a Shoggoth and NGE Angel, for instance.
>>
>>46127137
Specific to the Jump narrative, not the setting itself, the Benefactor can not interfere, and neither can their past or present machinations.
>>
>>46127137
You and companions get depowered except for your bodymod body. So I went with it also removing that sterilization field, it wasn't necessarily an unpleasant surprise, but drove home the point that we really were on our own.

For Ravenloft, does Mistwalker do anything besides let you freely travel the mists? The Mists are really only present in that Jump, so it doesn't seem like it'd be of any use once you leave.
>>
>>46126537
I decided that, rather than having to deal with the logistics of how reproduction works when you're traveling across the multiverse every ten years and you can only ever have eight people exist in the same world as you at a time, I'm just sterile until I stop Jumping.

I don't think you know anything about Other M. It retcons her background. All the shit about her personality and the deal with Adam predates the games. It's not a psychosis induced by Super Metroid's ending, it's a retcon of her behavior and history.
>>

That's the problem with most jumps.

No, I'm not really working on it.
I had this daft idea for a personal jump where "Nuclear Throne" was one of the four backgrounds (the other three being Neo-Scavenger, Nether and Noct), since I didn't think there was enough for a complete jump each. Wasn't going to release it, but these are some of the perks I had jotted down.

He's not really my biological kid, but I raised him since he was a widdle baby back on Yoshi's Island. He calls me Nana. Because I'm his Nanny Konata.
I spoil him a lot, and so he sometimes throws hissy fits and he's a little pudgy as a result, but he was still able to put the Bowser in Super Mario Jump in a headlock, so that was pretty funny.
I usually give him command of the Waddle Dees.

His name is Toboggan C. Inportent and he's a half-gem. I call him Toby. He led the Inportent Clan, literally all his and my descendents, on the Light of Terra before I realized he was missing a few basic concepts that most people have to accept. So, I taught him some lessons, basically doing stuff that most kids would have learned with time. Being a companions gives one a very weak concept of stuff like death and inures you to loss much too quickly, and he was more or less pampered and idolized from birth. Now he's doing a much better job of running the Ark and is pretty much married to Cierra from the Choir of Righteous Fury. I keep him out and about among people whenever I can now. I even plan on having others run the Kerykeion every few jumps to keep him on the right track.

I also raised a few of my companions, basically adopting them and teaching them how to be human, keeping them safe, and raising them into good people where I can. They're a Falcomon and Isaac from Van Helsing. They're still quite a bit more justice-y than I'd like, and I have no idea how that happened.
>>
>>46127679
Honestly? Not a whole lot. In my experience with the game half my time was spent gathering resources and making items. The items offered in the jump are there more as benchmarks than anything else.
As for the artifacts, while you could get the artifacts that are offered while in the jump itself, I wanted people to be able to buy lands that pertain somewhat to each race just so they could get them right away and keep them with them forever. Also this >>46127796

Magicite is actually superior to Materia in that its powers can be transferred directly to its wielder; after a certain point, you don't have to carry the rock around anymore to use its power. The abilities granted by it belong to you entirely.
Also, they can be used for temporary summoning magic, so that's pretty neat.

The downside is that Materia can only be made from living magical creatures. You can't make materia out of a planet, or a non-magical monster. A Mako Reactor, on the other hand, can prettymuch suck life energy out of anything with... well... energy. Mako Reactors are also the only one of the two able to convert energy to electricity, if... that's something you care about. I like magic rocks more, but occasionally I've used Mako Reactors just to kill things, and rapid expelling of electricity and heat energy is a pretty great way to do that.
Magicite also seems to require a more direct process (you actually see Espers strapped into machines, whereas the Mako Reactor is more or less plug'n'play), and you can only get one Magicite per magical creature, whereas Mako can get a LOT of Materia if the thing you're sucking out of has enough energy.
And most of the things I suck Materia from have a LOT of energy.

So it basically comes down to "Materia makes for better magic rocks, but Mako Reactors are way more convenient."

Besides, FF6 came before FF7, so if anything Materia was the new Magicite. The crappy, mass-produced Magicite.
>>
>>46128589
>Also, I've ruled before that it lets your "background" have always had all/some of your powers.
Isn't that kinda broken? Gives us a ton of extra time in jumps to have changed things, train our powers more, study stuff in jump without wasting time during the ten years we're there and so on. Why not just have it work like it does in Marvel, where you were part of major events and have existing relationships with the main characters then suddenly adding a pretty major boost to the power?

90. Weird Wild West
Origin: Drop-In
Perks: Gun Hand (-100), Quick Draw (-100), Enviro-Mentalist (-100), Medicine Man (-400)
Items: Provisions Kit (-100), Colt Peacemaker (-100), Flask of Plenty (-100)

One day I dropped peyote and ended up falling into a hayloft in Texas, in which I actually felt the need to run from a guy with a gun screaming about aliens. And then I ran from the aliens.

I'm not sure how long I was high, but things didn't get any better sober. Thankfully, I still had my Ace of Winchester, and it took down a surprisingly large amount of the things around here. It had little trouble with the undead, especially since I had silver bullets from Wild West. My peacemaker saw more use in showdowns and quickdraw contests. Not that I had much to fear from bullets, but lasers and plasma cannons still hurt.

And this world was more fun to wander. It had actual ghost towns, mercenaries with robot limbs and mechanical steeds, cheap whiskey, scotch, mass summoning of the dead, bourbon, alien ray guns, brothels, giant mechanical spiders, and even whisky sometimes.

I had to google Weird Wild West to see what this jump was about, and I'm not disappointed in what I found.

The same mangaka has a shonen monster girl series that he is less interested in called 12 Beast.
>>
>>46128972
Its one of the fanservice intensive kind of series. You now beach episode and all that. Porn is not what their world revolves around. I think it´s actually lighter on it than HSDxD...
>>
>>46129143
... you never tried to reverse image search that shit? I figured it out pretty quick doing that.

But yeah, it's just generic guy protagonist with blank eyes to make him more generic, pretty fitting for the Antispiral's human form.
>>
>>46129201
The world has no detail outside of what's immediately going on with the harem and what little was put in place to justify it. That's what makes it different.
>>
>>46129208
>... you never tried to reverse image search that shit? I figured it out pretty quick doing that.
Anon, I said I was curious, I didn't say I had a work ethic.
>>
>>46129201
That has to be wrong. DxD has all sorts of over the top shounen battles. Literally every episode of MonMu is OH NOS LOOK AT MC TRIPPING OVER/GETTING HUGGED BY/WHITE KNIGHTING FOR THE MONSTERGIRL IN A CONTRIVED CIRCUMSTANCE
>>
>>46129277
Dude.

in DxD, Issei creates - doesn't learn, CREATES - an ability to make a girl's breasts talk.
>>
>>46129301
That doesn't negate anon's point at all.

>>
>>46129382
It's banned. You're not allowed to talk about it here.
>>
>>46129301
There are also other things going on, Monster Musume has nothing else going on. The most other stuff going on is that there is a lot of mermaid on human action. There are Orcs getting uppity that there isn't as much Orc centric porn going on as they want. Literally all of the other side information is still about sex.
>>
>>46129382
Anon, no, that jump is banned. You're not supposed to post about it.

I'll be honest. I'd probably look completely human for this. I'd only be a demon during halloween specials, but I'd be human most of the time. Or maybe sometimes I'd change to prove a point. The point that it's not bad to want to be something that's different from others.

Everyone has something they want to be. Maybe an Astronaut, or a Firefighter, or a Musician. Or maybe their wishes go farther than that. Some things may be harder to attain than most, but that doesn't make them bad goals. Never be ashamed of who you want to be, or what you want to be. Never be ashamed of where your path may take you.

Because deep down, we all want to feel comfortable, and we want to feel happy. And isn't that what matters? That defining unity that links us all together regardless of differences? The world is kind of nice like that... and you can make it even nicer, by helping your fellow person be who they want to be.

And in this journey of self-discovery and the discovery of others... we'll discover some wonderful things about the world.

an unexpected side effect of Nanotech in her weapon form was it transferring over to her human form, making her stronger, faster, more bootyful

How tame, though I will admit that the Theater isn't the best choice for wildly different forms, as where I'm going in with a different form a lot of times, but I have The Land of Make-Believe. Also I have a theme of it not being what you are on the outside, but what you are on the inside that matters, so lots of vaguely monstrous forms are used, while I swap back and film the same segment again as a different character, then we edit the video together.

It's not a thing that they can. The franchise is from a time when dinosaurs were thought to be more closely related to lizards than birds, and since several species of lizard can detach and regrow at least their tails, I felt it not too far-fetched as a high-level perk.

Unfortunately, mine's not as grand as Justice's, mainly because my latest chain's been relatively slow-going...
So I'm going to only count those I've podded and companioned, and not those I've simply wooed successfully.
Gloria Harper(Warrior from Swords and Sorcery), Morrigan Etraine(Mage from Swords and Sorcery), Ami(Sekirei from...well, Sekirei), Curly Brace (Cave Story, she didn't stay around long but it was fun while it lasted, I think she bailed out around Metal Gear and I didn't begrudge here), I guess Joyeuse?(My smart AI in Halo, I got her a physical body during one of my imports), Citlali(Religious dancer from Indiana Jones), Arianna Free(Dig Student from Indiana Jones), Emi(Succubus from Rosario+Vampire), Ophelia(Vampire from previous), Miyuki(Yuki-onna from previous, I was doing a full batch of 8 to bring in Gloria, Morrigan, Joyeuse and my Eevee Vanilla so I figured I'd indulge myself)...

I haven't arrived there yet but I plan to go for Ryuko and Satsuki Kiryuin, Korra from Legend of Korra, Minette from Skullgirls, Carly Nagisa and probably a few others from Yu Gi Oh 5D's...and a good majority of the female cast of Code Geass, with the exception of C.C(because she creeps me out, hot ass or not) and Nunnally (Because I'm not /that/ much of a dick to Lelouch)...
There's probably more that aren't occuring to me right now, but the list above are my current waifus with more in the works as I go to more jumps with companion options...and probably the ability to clone becomes available to me.

I have a young justice question. IF you have sorcerer savant and you have seen a spell that is supposed to be unique to a person like a reality marble from type moon and you have the photographic memory to remember how it was done after the fact. Can you create your own variation of it?
Like you saw Unlimited Blade Works could you create an extra dimensional space filled with all the weapons you intimately understand? If you saw Iksander's could you summon a battlefield filled with allies who served you faithfully?

>According to R. Allendy, this number represents "the antagonism in natural cycles. Here, the Spirit opposed to the matter, the good opposed to the evil, continue their fight in the oscillations of the world and result into the Karma - 4+2 = 6. It is the Karma or the Providence in the evolution - 42 = 6x7".

>Which color is your scream?
Kind of a bluey grey. Like cotton candy on a dark day.

>How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck was a jumper?
There's some convoluted combo to toss the existential meaning of wood out of existence, probably. There's a combo for everything.

Eh. That's a fair point. I assume there are other dragons out there, somewhere. At the very least, there was that one that Charming killed, but I think it was more like an animal than a sapient shapeshift like Maleficent.

Honestly, I'm not even sure Mal and Lily are actually dragons, but she did lay an egg, Lily inherited the ability, and the father was heavily implied (or outright stated, I forget), to be a a dragon. So that's the interpretation I'm going with.
>>
>>46130097
Ok then:

It's a non-prime number divisible by 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 14, 21 and itself. Alternatively the meaning of life the universe and everything in certain realities.

Beige.
>How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck was a jumper?
... enough. Enough wood.

So the first one... admittedly it's me being a total tard? Like I'm just running around reveling in yet another horribly bullshit beauty perk because I'M VAIN AS FUCK, and yet I'm also using crazy magics to be stronk. And I'm just that fucking fabulous? It's nice!

Legend of Mana... yeah I'm not gonna lie. I'm gonna plant that sword right in the Garden. Plant it there, wait for the Mana Goddess to come up, and deal with it. I'm kind of tempted to say I'd use the Re-Birth perk from Cardfight Vanguard and a shitton of purification magic, but it's really hard to tell what that would DO, I think.

Okay, so this one's pretty much another jump where we're going in blind, and try to figure out how to unfuck everything in the least traumatic way possible? We've got Bhunivelze's hula-scythe. Hopefully we can arrange for a reletively painless death-and-ressurection thing while either purging the corruption with spiritual prejudice. Not really a fan of fracking for materia/magicite in this case though, that seems kinda bad for the environment.

This preserving-landscapes-as-artifacts knack sounds...intriguing since they seem to ressurect the people as well as the cities. Merits some research into Calamitytech and the Creators' creation techniques, certainly-see if it's possible to Xzibit some landmarks.

We know some of it. Various laws are in place to try to deal with the integration of humanity and monsters, including the host system as opposed to less limited integration. We know it's a difficult enough issue that they require a special police force to deal with problems resulting from the law. Also, we know that monster kingdoms are having trouble dealing with the fact that human society offers an alternative to their own. Finally, we know that monsters are having a difficult time integrating into human society, mainly because there's just so many different types, all with their own needs. So, there's substance there, you just need to look past the tits to see it.

KILL him? But if you kill them, they don't learn anything.

He was one of the handful of villains to get special attention from me, just like the Green Goblin or a handful of others. Basically, you keep an eye on them, annihilate their reputation systemically, and make them question themselves. It's always not necessary to step in directly, but if you dick with them it must be ABSOLUTELY relentless. Make sure they never, ever get allies. Make sure potential allies know they're going to not stab them in the back but the FACE. Make sure there are no team-ups, no shadowy leagues of supergroups that will give them a place. Keep them desperate and frustrated enough to make mistakes.

Let's look at Marvel. I didn't screw with too many people, but I ensured that Norman Osborne became a joke in the business world. His glider and other tech kept malfunctioning, and his numbers never quite matched up with what he thought - they kept changing day to day, in BOTH directions, and were always off by a little bit. That eight was a three. That six was a nine. He thought he had a vault full of gold? It's full of other things, but not a single bar of gold in there, and the newspaper he kept mentioned him stealing jewelry, not robbing an armored car. This frustrated him to hilarious proportions, made him question himself, and made it easier to ensure everyone would laugh at him and no one would ever work with him as well as making his schemes much less likely to succeed.

On the other hand, sometimes that's not enough and you do need to step in to do things a bit more directly.

Fast-forward to DC: the Joker kept finding EVERYTHING he did replaced with cheap and silly gags or something otherwise useless. Joker Venom? Yeah that's just harmless saline fluid now, buddy, ain't nobody smiling. Acid? No, sorry, but you definitely meant to spray Batman with fluorescent paint. What's that? You've cornered Jason Todd and you're going to beat him to death with a crowbar? Then why are you swinging a whiffle bat at him, Jack? And if you're going to try to kick him in the face, should you REALLY be wearing clown shoes and tripping over your own feet? Red Hood storyline averted, though he ended up going solo as Red Robin later. Still canon-friendly enough to work. After Batman arrived and beat the shit out of him, I elected to work as a janitor at Arkham who drew the short straw and had to clean up after all the insanity that occurs there, which led to the following amusement after he realized he remembered my face:

"You- how?! I know it was you! How did you do it?!"
>In the words of an old acquaintance: fuck you, that's how.
"You think you're funny?"
>Don't know about you, comedian, but I am laughing my head off.
"I'll remember that."

When he next escaped, he ensured that I was decapitated by his hand. As he was leaving, I ensured that he was watching when I walked over and calmly put my head back on, then picked up my mop and kept right on my way.

The fucking-with was redoubled after that. When he turned himself in voluntarily I'd ensured that he was no longer immune to toxins, that his skin and hair were normal, and that if he tried to laugh he'd have a painful coughing fit. I helped Harley Quinn do a heel-face turn and joined the Justice League, though she was more on the level of Robin rather than Batman, but she had a knack for being in the right place at the right time.

And I kept mopping so I could keep an eye on him.

The next time the clown broke out of Arkham, he slipped somehow and ended up in a sewer full of filth, a full two miles from where he was. Plot fiat had returned his skin and green hair, of course. Gotham PD waiting for him at the hideout he was going to. It was hilarious, but being who he was, he had a miraculous recovery and was able to walk again in a month.

The next time the clown broke out of Arkham, he tripped and fell and when he picked himself off the ground he realized he was in the middle of nowhere in the Appalachian mountains and a week had passed.

The next time the clown broke out of Arkham, I teleported him to the Watchtower just to see what would happen. Seeing the Flash going ORAORAORAORAORA on him was the BEST THING EVER and I mailed him a certificate good for a year's supply of his favorite pizza after that.

The next time the clown broke out of Arkham, I teleported him to the moon for ten seconds, before teleporting him back to his cell. He curled up in a ball and rocked back and forth for a while.

The next time he planned on breaking out of Arkham, I taped a Polaroid to the front of his glass cell during my rounds and took it down again on my way out. A picture of him. On the moon. Captioned 'I'm not the bat. Next time, you stay behind.' After that, he got the hint and stopped trying to break out of Arkham.

Never did stop trying to kill me of course, but I tell you one thing: a comic series that focuses on the insanity of everyone inside Arkham would sell a LOT better than most people would think, especially if the Joker is a permanent resident and you've got the janitor from Scrubs cheerfully fucking with him like he was JD, who very well MIGHT be in his head because no one else ever notices him.

Turns out all you truly need to really fuck with people are a handful of third-year spells from Hogwarts.

Our partner, the personification of celestial flame, is ...kinds Rei-like, sometimes. Being a natural force and all it took her several centuries to get the hang of the whole sapience thing-let alone emotions and such-and she lacks context for a lot of stuff mortals take for granted, like gravity and not melting walls by passing through them. She often asks us why we do what we do, and we like to think over time we've rubbed off a little personhood on her if only because of how often she's asked us about mortal life. But she's also very patient, can get quite enthusiastic about things she's just starting to get the hang of (we'll always have that surfing trip on the winds of Uranus) and ever vigilant, and we can't ask for a better anthropomorphic personification to have our back.

As a suggestion, If you want to emulate Red you should probably have the capstone booster do something other than just boost other perks.
>Asgardian: Asgardian Body.
>Eyes of the World: Magic Boost.
>Hypno's Gene: Causes weaker cells to die off, leaving the body in a state of constant improvement.
>Touched by Protoculture: Understanding other cultures, Space Folding Tech, and other tech apparently.
>Burning Bright: Luck Boost, and Draining other peoples luck.
>A Song for the Hopeless: Create/Summon Bad Luck Charms, sense misfortune.

WIP for the Fallout 4 Jump. Might add more companion options later on in addition to DLC content.

In the meantime, I'm going to be working on the Earth's Mightiest Heroes Jump; here's a preview of one of the Villain's capstones:

Power Unfettered- You have power already... yet, it's locked away, hidden a form that is yours, yet not one that you possess right now. No longer; your powers, including physical attributes like strength and durability, are now accessible and equalized across any form that you choose to take. (600 CP, discount Villain)
>>
>>46130856
Ahh, thanks for the help Anon.
>>
>>46132033
>Power Unfettered
>Can now use Zeruel expy form's strength and durability in human form
I imagine the military will be quite distressed when I shrug off a nuclear warhead.
>>
>>46132033
So if I were to take that, and go through with my plan to become a Judgment, would my normal human form have the capability to speak the Correspondence on a Judgments level. And what do you mean by equalized?

91. Legend of Zelda
Time Period: Era of Light and Dark
Origin: Drop-In, Age: 12, Race: Hylian
Perks: Temple Raider (-100), Z-Targeting (-200), Blessing of Shadows (-150), Mimic (-300)
Items: 2 Adventure Bags (-50), Evil's Bane [Ace of Winchester] (-300)
Companions: Horse
Drawbacks: Silent Protagonist (+100)

I finally got a human-like alt-form. Go me.

Capping off our Wild West Trilogy we have a showdown with the usurper Agahnim. He's an asshole of a bandit that took out the local governor and wants to abduct a bunch of the local ladies and ship them off to his hideout. Luckily, blessed silver seems to be a weakness of his, and I do have some silver bullets. Lucky me, by the time I get there I've made a friend in another quiet person. A kid that's taking out the bandit's enforcers with his fancy knife. He's some blacksmith's son I met while trying to get my horse shoed. We don't talk, but we got each other's backs. I patch him up, he holds people off.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get to him when he went after Zelda, and that means I eventually have to go to the ranch to save her. I don't like what I become there, but I can still hold my gun and that means I still got a shot. The kid became a rabbit and started running when he saw. I can't say I blame him. I thought I'd be dead at first, but it turns out blood is pretty easy to control with a bit of magical assistance. And you only really need one hand to fire a gun, so that was good too.

I hunted through the territories, propelled and slickened by a path of blood. His hideout was nigh impossible to get through, an abandoned fort by the looks of it. Even the Ace weren't enough to get through, so I did the next best thing: I helped the kid. I could see destiny stir about the boy from when we first met. And he was smart enough to weaken the bandit first. He deserved the kill. I held off the bandits compadres and things resolved for awhile. Until time and the weather started fucking up, but that's for another time.
>>
>>46132070
I have no idea what those are, but yes. Equalized means that your powers, attributes etc. are exactly as strong as they would be in whatever form you take as they are in the form that they originally came from.

Judgements are Star Gods from Fallen London/Sunless Sea. They are the beings who define reality as we know it. So, basically, they're THE reality warpers and rule makers of that universe.
>>
>>46129791
I post with the following cavets:
- Not complete, even for a 'personal' jump. Was mostly to amuse myself and practice when I had no inspiration for actual jumps, so yeah, not really any quality control, and I had the assumption from the outset that nobody was going to be interested in these and/or that there wasn't enough stuff to make a complete jump for each one.
- Does not count as 'claiming' these settings, anyone wants to make an actual jump for any of these, this doc becomes invalid, feel free to take whatever inspiration you may.

>>
>>46132117
Sweet. Also, Judgments are Stars/Gods that define the laws of reality who find human souls delicious, and Fallen London is so strange because their light can't reach it. The Correspondence is their native language. Also, Anti Spiral Anon has constellations of them inside them.
Goddamnit, I made a GIF to use whenever my plan to turn into a Judgment, but it's apparently too big.

Could be. If I'm being honest, Regina is one of the characters if like the most in the more recent seasons. Her brand of pragmatism and cynicism help me deal with having to listen to Snow and Charming be hypocritical holier-than-thou purity sues constantly.

>>46131996
No. Maybe? Probably not.
She technically was banging the Huntsman while she had his heart, which gave her complete control over him. I don't think it started until AFTER the curse though, so she only had metaphorical control over him. And he was pretty willing to be fuckbuddies. At least until he got the hots for the protagonist.

He's probably just referring to the fact that she's an evil bitch who killed and tortured thousands mostly because she hates Snow White - which springs from the Snow being a stupid little kid and telling Regina's even more evil mother about her secret boyfriend, who she then promptly killed. Oh, and the whole cursing an entire kingdom thing, which she accomplished by cutting out her father's heart and using it to fuel a giant spell that required her to kill the thing she loved the most.

It's really not her fault she ended up that way, though. Her entire life was just one long gambit of her mother's that was, in turn, a piece of Rumpelstiltskin's plan.

Actually, it just involves increasing the size of my soul as much as possible through Perks like Strong Soul from Soul Eater, The Souls of Versions of me who deliberately died to Time Paradoxes, and Magic. My plans for the Dawn Machine are just to create something hold the resulting Star-Soul-Form, and using some of the underlying principles in the Bomb I plan to use to increase the size of my Judgment forms using extra mass and magic.

The wasteland already has cybernetics and better laser weapons than the institute. I'm fairly certain teleports exist in other parts of the wasteland. All the Institute has on the rest of the world is Infrastructure and Synth tech.

Infrastructure can only improve the wasteland Anon, and with the values of my order spreading across the lands another universe will be converted into a prosperous beacon of Justice and Liberty.

Didn't someone try that in the institute path and got banished? They don't want to see. It would change everything and they don't want to see what horrible things they have done. Ironically if you want to resolve things with minimal blood shed it's best to destroy the institute and issue the evacuation orders.

Pleasant times to you, Anons! I have made yet another update to the Devil Survivor jump, now with items! Next on the list are companions, drawbacks, and notes! Let me know what you think, any advice is appreciated!
>>
>>46132033
Nice work. I really like the companion/legendary thing, but have one thing to ask about it... Could we pretty please get the option to import companions as legendary things? Having a legendary deathclaw buddy is cool and all, but my companion roster is full so I'd appreciate being able to give an existing companion an alt-form rather than making a new one.
>>
>>46132891
Oh god, I can't choose between the Programmer Perks/ Items and Bels and Whistles. Why do you hurt me so?
>>
>>46132850
I'll include the building infrastructure part in the description for "Crafter", since the Drop In line is based on the Sole Survivor/Minuteman faction.

As for vehicles, I wasn't sure about whether I wanted to add them or not due to vehicles not really being a big part of Fallout 4 (beyond the Vertibirds, which unless I'm forgetting something are only used by the BOS). I also didn't want to overlap with the first Fallout Jump any more than necessary. Granted, now that you mention it I'll probably add a Vertibird option (given the Ace Pilot perk and all) but anything beyond that probably won't make it in.

>>46132896

So I have a question. In Undertale, monster's bodies are just projections of magic powered by their soul right?

In Jojo, stands are manifestations of the soul right?

So if both are true, and a human with a stand fell into the underground, what the fuck would the monster think of this? Also, could a monster gain a stand?
>>
>>46133051
There are trees with stands in JoJo, the requirements are pretty loose. So I'm pretty sure that if something has a soul it can have a stand.

Captcha what is with your new obsession with kayaks? Also not all boats are kayaks.

>>46133051

>>
>>46132891
Seems like a number of the items don't really do much outside of the Jump. For example, does Devil's Fuge do anything except for let us kill Beldr with a minimum of fuss? Do the Cell Phone and Assault Rifle do anything special that differentiates them from an item you grabbed from literally any other earth-like Jump?
>>
>>46133051
The monsters would probably wonder how the human is summoning a monster. And I'd say no?
>>46133085
He says he's been doing fine, and that mankind has gotten quite a bit dumber, given that they keep falling for his Louis Cypher disguise. He also wants to know how you feel about horrendously difficult bonus boss battles.
>>46133094
Devil's Fuge will have a similar effect Post-Jump, doing damage to otherwise immune enemies, like the Noise from Sympogear, though within reason: You won't be punching out Cthullu any time soon. As for the Assault Rifle, infinite ammo, and the Cell Phone let's you call powerful people who would make a deal with you.
>>
>>46133051
>what the fuck would the monster think of this?
Probably whatever you felt like telling them. With the exception of maybe three or four monsters, most of them don't actually know all that much about humans. They've been stuck down there for a LONG time.

That said, Stands are invisible to people without Stands, so they probably wouldn't even realize something was weird until you started murdering people without moving.
Or started juggling plates with it.
Y'know, whatever.

It's not a great feeling to wake up & to find you're 12yo again. Not only that you're ship wrecked & your father just killed himself & another survivor so we could survive on the supplies. Who is we? Why no other than Oliver Queen, my big brother! I have no access to my warehouse & my abilities seem to be turned off temporarily. Life on the island was pretty harsh. At least I was big enough to do some the training that Oliver went through. Not to say my training was any less difficult. Having to learn to shoot again really sucked. After crazy shit happened & 5yrs on the island we got rescued.

My abilities were so atrophied, it sucked ass. At least I could hold my own, thanks to some the training he went through & my super soldier ability from MCU. Eventually through intense training & from vigilantism I was able to get most my abilities back to near full capacity nearly 3 1/2 years after being rescued. My stay here I was part of Team Arrow, & I was one who suggested Oliver to take Green Arrow name after he promised not to use lethal force. As part of Team Arrow I was given a codename I settled on "Guardian". I know ripping off of already established names is low, but hey if it works it works.

While my stay here was longer than average being about 15yrs, compared to my last trips that were a decade. I wouldn't say it wasn't fun, because I definitely did have a lot of fun, and even with the hardships I had this trip was a blast. I just hope my next trip is as eventful as this one.

Some jumps say becoming their type of god ends your chain, like Forgotten Realms, others say becoming that sort of god in that jump ends your chain (can't remember which one that is) and others still have other rules, but there is no hard and fast rule against being a god - See Smite, God of War, Okami (I think?) and a bunch of other jumps that let you be a god.
>>
>>46133317
>I swear there's a rule somewhere that being a god ends your chain
The only rules like that are jump specific, so technically on this one you're the one would decide if it is or isn't a rule. Though making becoming a judgment a chain ending thing would be odd, as there technically isn't a way for a person to become a judgment, at least not in setting as far as I know.

Hmm. Sure, I'll change it so that Imports can be made Legendary, though this will probably just be a buff to physical abilities/normal skills because I don't want to mess around with what "increased/added abilities" mean for companions that have been around as long as their Jumper.

I'm not sure what I should tell you about the Dog, though. The last time I had an immortal/indestructible thing in a Jump, things got rough, and I'm not sure if I want to deal with anymore of that if I can avoid it.

That being said, if you decide to make your dog- or any other companions- immortal, and don't mention it in thread, there's really no problem.

If you think it's "hiding your shame" to amend your statements to be more accurate, then you must have considerable problems.

I think you just don't understand hyperbole. I ways saying that the change is silly, and not worth deleting a post over.

Easy Revenge is Boring. How entertaining would it be if Inigo Montoya were to kill Count Rugen in a single blow, rather than a duel? If Edmond Dantès, were to simply kill his by hiring assassins, rather than plotting their downfalls, only revealing his name to them before they die and inspiring countless bad Harry Potter ends up in Azkaban Fanfictions?

See >>46133346 >>46133375 Also, For physically interacting, a more elaborate avatar than my Proxies, based on Project Phoenix from Rick and Morty and many Soul Science Perks, holding my consciousness while my original body lays resting in Cosmogenesis, holding my Soul while my mind controls the body in a kind of dreamself like way. For mentally Interacting without being a terrible soul eating douche, Heart of a Child from Narnia, Anon it's you from Robocop, and Light of Eden from EVO, along with a variety of Anti-Corruption Perks. Also, please don't ban being a Judgement. I'll probably cry if you do. Actually, I won't, because that would be stupid, but I will be disappointed that I just made that the Bomb is for nothing.
>>46133375
IIRC, A sufficiently powerful Human Soul is a Judgment Egg, which can turn into a Judgment under certain circumstances.
>>
>>46133375
I can't exactly rule against it, as if you tilt your head and squint, their plans (though horrifying) are the process of ascension/consumption that Judgements do. Give or take a few timeless eons and uncountable souls, of course. And it doesn't nullify the chain failure condition like the Cider does, so I can't use that rule either.

Tentative yes, even though I would run my jumps there as a pulp hero than a True Fae on holiday.

Just stay away from dramatic romance. It's trouble enough on the streets, let alone in space.

>>46133406
I mean legendary for just the race option, ie they only get what the OC legendary deathclaw would have gotten. Applying a boost like that to everything they already have would be ridiculous.

>no immortal dog
I can understand that... Oh well...
>>
>>46133520
Oh? I'm looking forward to it, Bel of the human world! Don't disappoint me now, I want to see if you can truly change this world!

>A sufficiently powerful Human Soul is a Judgment Egg, which can turn into a Judgment under certain circumstances.
And as far as I know those circumstances are unrealistic to obtain in a reasonable time frame. I mean sure it works, but from what I know the scale is insurmountable for a single person to intentionally turn them self into a judgment. I'm not saying your plan wouldn't work, I'm just saying no one in setting could realistically pull it off.

With interacting at sufficiently high jumper levels I just thought I'd slap a Girl Genius locket on a Tweedle double and have adventures while another me is kicking it in the Warehouse on research projects. Though that might be cheesing it a bit much.

I've got a kid, his name is "my real first name here"Junior, dark skin like his mama, broad shoulders like me, but about average height, my eyes, grew up with the original vault hunters as a peer group so he has a good idea of how to handle himself. Wound up marrying Tiny Tina.

Tell me of your saddest moments, /jc/. The times when you failed. The times when you were betrayed. The times you valued life over courage. The times sheer circumstance led you to tragedy.

Is it truly too late? What can and cannot be forgiven - and what does it take to forgive oneself?

my saddest moment is taking nigh-on 6 months and counting to finish 40k: Freelancer, then realizing the abolition of the 3 route ending plan renders it largely superfluous, especially since it runs entirely counter to kanon

If you want to clone a potential waifu the Venture Bros jump has perfected cloning tech that can cram memories in the body to.

my first failure was in a certain magical index, I made the mistake of taking it as an early jump so I was unable to bring quality between those with power and those without like I can now, nor thwart the machinations of the evil Alastair Croley, my greatest failures as a person were in Van Helsing and LoT, in the first I wound up getting turned by the brides of Dracula I had to destroy Transylvania and my previous body to break the magical cloud cover with rods from God and present the menace of a jumper under Dracula's indirect control, in the second I failed my philosophy and became a tyrant imagine mussolini without the racism, when I got to Power Rangers I took attitude to make sure I would never do anything like that ever again.

That kind of Hurts, Clover. I've taken precautions to ensure that all souls involved either have personalities which consist of the word supercalifragilisticexpialidocious repeating over and over again, pulled from Bradelines Well, or myself, and Dead Alternate Timeline Alice's Mind's are incorporated into the whole. Also, I am still human, I just want my soul to be a giant star god, stop judging me, it's cool. And there isn't much Drama in my Romance, just comfiness.

My saddest moment was when most of my Pokémon retired in Hollywood, after realizing we had kind of stopped caring about each other, and that they were just plain tired of it all. Post Spark, I plan on giving them the biggest fruit basket for staying as long as they did.

I'd be interested in the actual Mordenkainen's reaction - as he's only over in Greyhawk.

The reason why spells like Disjunction and Hideous Laughter exist in both settings, is because there's a path between Faerun and Greyhawk through the Shadow Plane - it's not common (in the same sense that spelljamming is only a thing if you read the books about it), but there's traffic between them.

CP purchase provide plot armour, basically.

The items are restored if lost or broken, and they're guaranteed by fiat to work no matter the setting's metaphysics.

I killed Motoko in Ghost in the Shell while she was getting a new body.

I tried to parlay, I tried to negotiate, but in the end Section 9 was having none of it. I still couldn't convince her through synchronisation, and outright killing her wouldn't do anything. So I figured I'd take her place. Synchronisation let me pretend to be her, and I hacked into the relivant authorites and amended the appropriate data bases so my cyber brain ID was identified as hers.

It kinda sucked.

On the plus side I got this nice coat.

Perhaps you could make the sapient races in the companion section open to purchase as a jumper race for twice the CP cost?

Does make it a bit wilder though. But being an Assaultron is what the game needed, more than a coherent plot or any kind of ability to influence the retardo-factions.

Final Fantasy IX. There, a combination of drawbacks led to me arriving into the world far too late. An all-out war, where all try to kill all others.

And then I got affected by the bloodlust-inducing Mist, empowered by another drawback.

Everything died.

After all was over and done, I took the seed of a soul-gathering great tree, and made a decision.

Nobody else shall have their soul disappear into nothingness. I shall welcome them all, in the paradise of my own creation.

And that's how I became a psychopomp.
