Anon did you make that? If so, it does look very nice.Just a bit of criticism:
1)I don't know what era this is supposed to be set in, but for some reason I feel like the pouches and the armor clash together.
2)Same goes for the shoes
3)The studded leather on the thighs just feels off for some reason.
This is all my personal opinion and I still find this drawing really nice, so don't take it too seriously.

Yea my original idea was to try to approximate modern kit (plate carrier, helmet, hiking boots, etc) with medieval technology but it didn't really end up reading that way

Well you can definitey see the influence (which is great) but the way it is meshed together feels a bit awkward.
That said, if it is indeed the first picture you upload online, I have to commend you for actually uploading something nice instead of some MS Paint piece-of-crap.

Honestly anon, I think you nailed it. Looking at it, I immediately thought of how it looked almost exactly like my plate carrier's set up.
