Sociopathic asshole adventurer types. Stack on some snarky douchiness for bonus points.I'm terrible, I know.
>>46104222
>>Player Question:
Bouncing off of what >>46104679 said. Characters with personality. Something I can work with if I want to do write ins or add tidbits to prompts. I like to roleplay, not self insert if that makes sense. Blank slates are kinda lame.
>>46104680
We knew how much you were enjoying it and wanted to upset you.
>>46104680
I was running one this week that went real late. I think there was only like 2 anons left and they just went about doing messed up shit till I ended the quest.

CPM 119 is up for anyone who wants to join.
>>46104768
Never get fed up! Keep working! You'll do good!
>What kind of MC do you enjoy writing?
Nice cripplingly flawed ones.
I made a mistake by trying to have a personality evolve out of player choices so that the players could have a part in decided the sort of character they wanted to play that wasn't just straight up chargen and now I have a benevolent moralfag that I need to fuck up somehow.
So I've got an idea for a quest where the MC is the mount of a pretty inept or at least below average adventurer, and have to essentially take care of most of the adventuring themselves.
I'm having trouble deciding whether he's just a very intelligent horse, or he's a dude turned into a horse, which would also provide a goal or hook, turning back.
What are people's thoughts on the basic idea?
>>46105627
So you're basically the horse from Tangled?I'm in.
>>46105698
Oh fuck that's great! I just got the idea from Brave.I didn't like it.
>>46105627
Sounds interesting I'd give it a shot.

>>46105627
I think the transformation gives room for a better adventure.
Man wants be human again.
What does a smart horse want?
>>46106144
I was thinking that, but it could also take a lot longer to get started to explain who you are and what happened when i could just say "you're a smart horse and you gotta keep an eye out for your adventurer friend."
>>46106231
So a smart and loyal horse protecting it's dumb ass adventurer owner? Are we Courage the cowardly horse because that sounds like a ride I want on.
>>46105627
>>46106231
>"you're a smart horse and you gotta keep an eye out for your adventurer friend."
I already read A Horse and His Boy
>>46106231
So since the horse can't talk, how would you recommend keeping players interested if they can't really communicate with other characters very easily?
I figure investigating or trying to warn the adventurer of obvious dangers without the ability to talk would be where a lot of the fun comes from, but I also feel some verbal character interaction is nescesary at some point.
qtg, it's all over. I'm actually really enjoying a civ thread about fauns
what has life come to
>>46106901
Couldn't tell you. I'm not really into civ quests in general.
>>46106847
I mean, I disagree. You could just have the human do the talking.
Then we just nudge him to or away from characters to force conversations.
>>46106901
There there, anon. Come over and have a warm cup of cocoa and sit by the fire upon which we burn the remains of the QMs who have succumb to the curse. Warm your hands and find your hatred in the twisted remains of their unforgotten works.
Take your time and relax, and soon you shall find your rage anew.
Its okay to enjoy things, but you must miss your anger and flowing hatred so.
Deep breaths, friend, deep breaths from the smokeless flame and we'll have you right as rain.

Does qtg hate civs?

I don't get it. The second one is usually a negative(hence the "fag" part), and the first one is often treated as ironic because culture and context clash can cause a lot of trouble for supposedly "benevolent" people. How are these not flaws?

>>46104222
> What kind of MC do you enjoy writing?
I let the player define the MC, and then logically extrapolate from it.
Like, it's really how the players run him. Does he enjoy killing? Then the story reflects that he's either a gleeful killer or simply someone who likes fighting. Is he cool and rational? Clearly, something made him like that. Is his behavior different from his inner monologue? Then he's putting up a front. Who is the real personality?
I've gradually developed a unique 'fighting style' for the QMC. I've tried to communicate it in the little things. Like when an inexperienced friend is in the adjacent area and he makes his saving throw, it's depicted as the MC dragging him/kicking him out of the way.
>>46106231
Just set it up. You both ride up somewhere, adventurer makes some passable quip before utterly failing at a simple task. MC rolls his eyes then helps the adventurer subtly.

that thread is actually having a feeling much more like a quest rather than a civ quest, except the MC is the leader of a tribe. The options we vote on are generally pretty civ-like, but the narrative is really on par with some of the better quests I've read
>>46107654
I'll take that as a compliment even though it's probably not.
>>46107814
>How are these not flaws?
I stupidly allowed for diplomacy whenever possible so they never had to suffer for their morals. I think I'll be able to fix things when I run next.
>>46109251
>I'll take that as a compliment even though it's probably not.
You're right. It wasn't. But how about we talk it instead of me just calling you a faggot.
Care to elaborate a bit more? Whenever I see the the word moralfag it's usually being used as shorthand for "I don't agree with their decision on this matter" or more simply "fuck them for trying to be a good person". So why are you unhappy with how this MC turned out?
>>46109251
>I stupidly allowed for diplomacy
/tg/ will always diplomacy
>>46109394
I hope I haven't implied that the players are at fault for making decisions that I gave them, the case is more that I didn't make the choices hard enough. Most if not all were basically obvious.
I'm fine with a character being a good person but I never made them suffer for it. If you don't suffer for doing what you think is right, I feel that the character and/or the setting isn't being executed properly. It's just a string of obvious choices instead of decisions with actual weight. As I said though I think I've learned somewhat so I'm going to try and apply that to my next sessions.
>I have a bunch of archive bingers loving my quest

>>46109589

>>46109501
OK, I can definitely agree with that.
If there's no consequence for actions or every choice is easy then it's more like how developers do "moral choices" in video games.
Do you want to
>Be a massive evil cunt with little to no reason
Or
>Literally be a saint
Both roads are startlingly easy.
I have three competing ideas for a quest, which one is more interesting
1.) Sci-fi. MC is (initially) the captain of a relatively small warship and served a nation that just got conquered and carved up by larger and more aggressive neighbors. MC is essentially a pirate/partisan resisting the invaders and must play a game of cat and mouse with their patrols, escorts, and convoys while trying to keep their ship and crew from falling apart or starving. Possible political schemes also included, such as trying to play the different invaders off of one another or coaxing other nations to jump in to assist in liberating the MC's home. End goals could range from regaining independence to simply amassing a fleet and becoming a kickass pirate.
2.) Fantasy. MC is a dragon based on one of the seven deadly sins, with a corresponding power appropriate for that sin. Setting is somewhat post-apocalyptic, a terrible war saw the use of city-busting magic and the direct intervention of many gods. Quest takes place several decades later, as the world starts to recover from the catastrophe. MC was imprisoned before the war, along with several other powerful creatures, and has finally escaped into a battered and weakened world. Time to conquer Earth. Or maybe just amass a huge mountain of gold and sit on it.
3.) Space fantasy. MC is a gunslinger out in the space boonies. Magic, aliens, cyborgs, pirates, and guns-that-are-totally-not-casters-from-Outlaw-Star all feature prominently. The world the MC starts on is essentially a failed state, the overarching empire that kept order pulled out and the locals are hopeless corrupt, incompetent, or both. The power vacuum has spawned all manner of outlaw gangs, pirate clans, and even some outright genocidal terrorists, but the actual authorities would rather kick back, suck a paycheck, and rake in bribes. So the MC either has a lot of work ahead of him cleaning up, or can make a killing taking advantage of the mess. Have magic gun, will travel.
>>46109605
I should at least get paid to be evil.

>>46109654

>>46109674
I know Homonculus Civ has a drawfriend that contributes often (the QM being one as well)
Also death among the stars has one as well.
I think Pandora quest has one too?
>>46109704
Funny that you should mention that.
In my notes, the special power associated with a dragon of lust is shapeshifting. Next to that is written a note that says "/tg/'s most likely pick." Though I think I managed to make most of the other powers tempting enough to make any off the sins good choices in their own ways.
>>46109774

I'm thinking of having a limited selection of prepackaged MCs at the start. Some of the options I've written up are alien, but most of them are some brand of human.
>>46109973
Is there a Write In option but with certain restrictions to prevent futaloli and such?
Sleeping Gods is a really good quest but I'm always asleep when it runs.
>>46110012
What's it about?
>>46109997
I'm currently leaning against a write in option at character select. Thus far I've just been making a list of potential MCs with the assumption that the MC will simply be whichever one of them that /tg/ picks.
>>46110027

>>46109959
Probably.
>>46110037
Will we have animalgirl options for MC?
>>46110127
Most of the aliens are fairly alien. The closest to human are essentially lizardfolk and chozo-style bird people.
If you're going for a catgirl, cybernetics would probably be the better bet.
>>46110152
>no not!Ctarlctarl

>>46110037

>>46110152
Naw, I'm going for another type of animalgirl, a variant on a somewhat popular type.
>>46110174
that's not quite correct.
Character selects like the man proposes tend to work STONKING good.
>Last BoAE thread archived at 36/52
I knew it. There were 8 people that sperged out. That was best ending if only cause of the shitstorm it brewed.
>>46110037
Just have restrictions to prevent magical realm for a Write In option
>>46110168
> no freaky human genetic experiments that now live as average citizens
The human factions that engage in serious body-modding tend to prefer cybernetics and magic for that sort of thing on account of genetics being just too damn slow. As for the other two, you can find those. They just won't be aliens, but rather some humans who have decided that gauges and tattoos are just too twenty-first century for their tastes.
>>46110178
Which might that be? Fox? Snake?Spider?
>QM Question: What kind of MC do you enjoy writing?
I like writing snarky assholes with a big mouth. Makes for some interesting dialogue when they interact with other characters.
>Player Question: What do you like in an MC?
I like a character with pronounced flaws. They don't have to be big, but I get immense satisfaction from watching a character develop by outgrowing their flaws.
Also, another question to you guys. In an original fantasy setting, do you guys prefer a compelling plot or interesting world development? Is it about the journey or the destination?
>>46110277
That spoiler was pretty close butNon-Girtablulu Scorpiongirl
>>46110277octopus
>>46110277
>>46110230
I like this idea
>>46110333
If you want to go that way, it'll be something for the quest itself, not character select. Body-mods will be purchasable, but the few that some of the potential MCs start with are all fairly practical.
Also starting out in the space boonies means that sort of tech isn't readily available in thread 1.
>>46110436
It could also be the greentext part, genetic experiments of mixing two animals together that now lives as a "regular" citizen
>>46110471
Except as mentioned here >>46110230 the people in #3 playing around with extensive modification don't really go in for that sort of thing. Why bother messing with multifunctional genes and unintended side-effects of mixing genetics when you can just skip straight to the end product that you want with cybernetics and magic?
>>46110325
Imagine!
>>46104222
In general, how to Anon's feel about MCs who are decided for the player?
I would prefer something like the Witcher games, where the MC is not a blank slate, and has a history but the player(s) still have agency in deciding what to do with that history.
>>46110560
Genetics research is progressing, resulting in experiments of mixing human and animal DNA.
>>46110569
....do you not know what it means when people say
>doing chargen
?
>>46110589
I know what it means, but from what I've seen most quest MCs tend to be blank slates and I'd like to avoid that.
>>46110569
> In general, how to Anon's feel about MCs who are decided for the player?
It's really important that they be exactly that, otherwise you get people like the pushy human-animal-crossbreed anon in this thread. People with very specific fetishes that they want the MC to play to regardless of whether or not it makes any sense in the quest. Making a good story requires a certain degree of internal consistency, and that requires the QM to make the MC (or several, and let the players pick from them).
Historical fiction buys a new computer when?
>>46110577
> mixing human and animal DNA.
Which is slow, limited, and of dubious value to begin with. And it still leaves you dealing with all of the problems created by a genome that evolved organically and thus is a mess of genes some of which serve numerous completely unrelated functions such that changing one cause all manner of other problems and some that do nothing at all. The setting has augs and magic, why limit oneself to merely crossbreeding people and cats?
Look, I get that you really, really want the MC to be a human/animal hybrid on a genetic level, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the setting given the other resources available.
>>46110613
part of the reason people deride chargen is to avoid blank slates.
>>46110931
>>46110633
What I'm planning to do is give the character some backstory, but let the Anon's vote on "Background Perks" that will modify the MC a little.
Some preview Background Perks are:
VR Gamer
Megacorp Intern
Gang Member
>>46110999
Yes, that is acceptable.....but too much of that is basically chargen anyway.
>>46110999
So the quest will be about a former gang member catgirl pirate.

>>46110999

>>46111020
Yes.

Ramen is doing some artwork for me.
>>46111019
I see nothing wrong with this. The catgirl bit is actually a major part of her backstory. She, along with many other people were gene-spliced while still in the womb by their parents simply because it was the fashionable thing to do at the time. Now the hybrid children fashion trend has long since passed into irrelevance and society has to deal with a huge population of unwanted freaks.
Of course, Hybrids are more collateral damage than anything else. The real controversy started when Megacorps started creating Blade Runner style Replicants and those replicants started taking everyone's jobs.
>>46111091just a catgirl?
>>46111102
Well a catgirl hacker, warez dealer and political activist.
>>46111019
>You see nothing wrong with this?
I get that you're trying really hard to REEEEE at something you don't like anon, but really all you're doing is proving that you're shit at writing if you can't look at the base sum of a whole and see potential. Let's break this apart so even someone as unimaginative as you can look at how even the most deliberately stupid way of describing a thing can obfuscate interesting potential!
>Cat girl
What's their culture? Do they have specific traits as a race? If we're not doing a fantasy theme, then what do genetic augments of their type have in common? Their physical characteristics don't really change whether they can be an interesting character, but it does give them novelties you could seize upon like Murder Presents and the urge to find sunny places to take a nap.
>Former gang member
Fantasy setting: Is their race typically considered sub-human? Did they grow up in the slums? Were they pulled in because of someone they knew, and found themselves increasingly wanting out of it as they grew older? Did something bad happen that forced a split? Did this gang war with another one over control of turf, and perhaps she lost and was forced to flee for her life from the city, leading to...
>Pirate
The catgirl hid on a ship to avoid her pursuers, but only realized too late that it had launched out to sea. Perhaps it was a pirate ship and the city allowed criminals in the ports because it was THAT bad of a place and the gang war was the equivalent of changing regimes. Or, maybe it was a merchant's vessel which would later get attacked by pirates who discover her in their loot. She begs to not be killed, that she was just trying to escape, and gets taken on by the captain as a deckswab until she earns her sea legs.
>>46111116
I think we're getting two different quests mixed up.
My quest MC is not a Pirate in any sense other than a software pirate.
As for culture, no. Hybrids would have the culture of their parents, they are one-off creations and come in a dizzying variety of shapes and sizes.
Our MC being cute is the exception. Most Hybrids are actually rather freaky looking. Pic is a Rhino hybrid.
I should also point out this quest is based on the Interface Zero campaign setting.
Now I would hardly say that Hybrids constitute a "race" for one simply reason. They're sterile.
>>46111170

>>46111737

>>46111737
Joker Quest does it and it works fine.
>>46111737
I did that for mine, but mostly only when concerning NPCs. If something is targeting the player or the player is targeting something I think it's nice to let the players see what they got.
>>46111737

>>46111737
Joker Quest and Ryukuza Quest both use behind the scenes mechanics and do pretty well with them, but their reader ships are a little weird anyways.
>>46112086
That's one of the things I enjoyed about running a quest with player rolls. Crits and critfails create just as much storyline as the QM. It's an opportunity to dream up some truly outrageous and memorable shit.
Also, when you all critfail, I laugh at you and your despair. It fuels me.

>>46113012

A sense of humor that swings between witty and terrible. I inherited by dad's shitty taste in puns.
Thinking about running a quest
Basically it will start of with MC having become a monster with limited memories of his past life
How do i avoid murderhoboing throughout the start? And how do I give the MC a sense of character with limited social interactions at the start?

You are the eldest child of the late Kristoph and Antonia Ruland, who's sudden passing to the Wasting Plague has left you as the owner of a family business: an atelier shop of tinctures and tonics, arms and armor that has catered to a broad spectrum of customers. In the wake of their death, the Ruland Atelier and its comfortable number of assets falls to you and your younger sibling's ownership (much to the irritated gripes of your deadbeat uncle), but you can't take up the mantle just yet.
Your parents had friends and business partners in the neighboring kingdoms, some of whom aren't even aware of their passing. The abrupt nature of their death called for a quick funeral, without any time to dispense messages or letters. Thus, it falls to the Ruland siblings to travel the continent of Kaithe, reaffirm the agreements between your new business partners and see the world that your parents never let you explore.

Gate: Thus the Jarheads fought there quest
A quest about the bravest, toughest, dumbest people imaginable in charge of 'liberating' a fantasy world. You follow Sam Adams, a member of the 25th marines who has to deal with the insanity of deployment in a foreign world with people who he would never normally consider friends or buddies. He passes the time by finding modern ways to fuck around in this mysterious fantasy world.
Such as
-Shining high-powered lasers in the eyes of passing wyverns so they fly around in a circle and then crash into the ground.
-Drinking the varied alcohol of the new world, and then lighting his breath on fire
-Writing apology letters for burning down the mess-tent
-Burying tons of unaccounted for waste with a back-hoe because he doesn't want to do the paperwork.
-Being ordered by the God of the Underworld to pick that shit up and stop polluting
-Bargaining with local elders to exchange the hardened cornbread from his rations for fantasy-drugs
-Tying an imperial battering ram to the back of his jeep and riding around in it like a sled
-Explaining all his mysteriously broken bones to his C.O.

>Road of the Devil Child. Think Mathilda meets Sredni Vashtar with a bit of Black Company mixed in. MC would be a demon-possessed loli acting as caster for a group of travelling mercenaries.
> In the setting, magic is firmly in the hands of Ancient Beings and those few Warlocks who survive the years of study required to consciously harness the True Names that make up spells. To circumvent this, young orphans are implanted with demonic entities whose power is then kept contained with hundreds upon hundreds of magical sigils.
> Usually they include a control seal that takes away agency from the possesed child, but MC's implantation went wrong, which gives her more control than usual.

Try your best to get out while maintaining your sanity and avoiding or fighting a full cast of insane patients with colorful personalities. Will you save that guard that always found a reason to beat you before bed time or will you kill him or leave him to the hounds of hell? In this horror quest, every choice matters in your desperate attempt to escape the asylum with your life.

Why is it that when someone who isn't like you calls your waifu shit you burst into blubbery treats instead if calling their waifu shit right back or just simply ignoring them? You're probably young if you take the Internet this seriously, why embrace a victim complex?
Well, whatever. Keep hugboxing and tantruming over other opinions, I guess.

Hello everyone, I ran the Chicago 1920 Quest thread last night and had a really fun time. As a first time QM, I felt like I made a few rookie mistakes in the beginning, but otherwise I had fun, and I thought other people had a good time as well.
I plan on running next Friday, around 17:00 in the evening time again.
Anyway, you all have been wonderful, and have a good week.

I wonder why it all went wrong?
Okay, this time I'm using my name/tripcode for a non-faggot reason to announce that Exorcism Quest: Thread 2 will be going up around 4:30-5:00 PM EST! Fight tortured spirits, rescue survivors, flirt with The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse! All this and more, tonight!
Alright, saying it here so you all fucking know.
How many waifus does the MC have?
Is it more than two?
It's definitely harem shit.
Is it more than one?
It's probably harem shit.
That is all.
>>46117908
Went wrong when that one guy started pitching his catgirl-hacker-pirate quest.
>>46117365
>2016
>endorsing monarchy
And this is why nobody takes them seriously.
Learn to democracy.
>>46117800
Do you know who most people are? Sounds fun as a short quest, unless you've got some deeper horror plot about the nature of the asylum or some political statement about how the outside world is just as crazy/made you all that way.
Jesus Christ this thread is shit. Destroy all quests.

>>46117942
Nah, harems are more.
Does the MC have 2+ girls that exist solely for the purpose of orbiting the MC's dick and have no goals or a personality outside of "fucking the MC".
You got a harem.
If you only have one girl orbiting the MC's dick without personality or goals, you only have a shitty quest/series.

>Implying the royals have power.
>>46118037
Yeah, they're basically a tourist attraction.
>>46118037 >>46118051
All rich people have power.
Ok, people, Blood Mage Quest is a go. >>46118010
It's a fantasy quest about a young man trying to find his teacher, and survive in a harsh world, using nothing but his wits and a bit of magic. Blood magic.
>>46118016
You know some of them, but most of them you've only heard other patients, guards, or nurses talk about.

>Clinicians may blame clients for not being sufficiently motivated to work on treatment goals or recovery, and as "acting out" when things are not agreed with or are found upsetting. But critics say that in the majority of cases this is actually due to the client having been treated in a disrespectful, judgmental, or dismissive manner. Nevertheless, such behavior may be justified by characterizing the client as demanding, angry or "needing limits". To overcome this, it has been suggested that power-sharing should be cultivated and that when respectful communication breaks down, the first thing that needs to be asked is whether mentalist prejudices have been expressed.[17]
Wow. That's a very dangerous movement.
>>46118034
No. You're wrong.
Even if you have seven girls with amazing personalities and goals, if they're all fucking the MC and love him it's a fucking harem because that's what a harem is!
Now, if the quest is set in a culture where this makes sense, like the Middle East or Ancient China, this is fine.
It's only fucking stupid when everyone else is living a monogamous lifestyle and suddenly the MC has seven girlfriends.
And then also fucks a kid later, but I should keep my anger at that Shadows of Zeon Gundam quest to a separate post.
>>46118061
Then it doesn't matter that they are royalty.
They just inherited money like 90% of rich people.
>>46118075
Will this be at all supernatural? Or strictly mundane?
>>46118082
>And then also fucks a kid later, but I should keep my anger at that Shadows of Zeon Gundam quest to a separate post.
>nothing to puru about.jpg
>>46118086
If the protagonist is insane you don't even need the supernatural to be real in the quest. It could all be in his head.
>>46118018
Just destroy all normalfags and quests are fixed.
>>46117789
As OP, I can agree. What have I done.
>Not bowing down to the superior wisdom of the politician-appointed electoral college when selecting a supreme ruler.
>>46118086
>>46118113
Pretty much this. Planning on possibly write up a scenario where you're dying or losing your mind, wait a few seconds and then delete the post and add the actual post. That and possibly have you do something else from what the players voted and then stop mid-post with a "No, that's not what I'm doing" and start over where the decision was made and follow what the players voted on.
>>46118082
>And then also fucks a kid later
Why are you listing a positive in the middle of complaining about a quest?
>>46118154
>>46118154
hahhaha, fuck that.
We need to establish a benevolent dictatorship in the United States of America.
For at least one generation.
Then institute a democracy, sans the political party system, once order is re-established!

>Then institute a democracy, sans the political party system, once order is re-established!
If only there was a popular candidate that both parties feared.
One that understands the people and is not a slave to washington.
One who isn't afraid of libneral insults like 'racist'.
Who is going to secure our country's borders.

Blame monstergirlfags for ruining everything
Picture this:
A Berserk-themed (Without the supernatural shit) quest in the midst of a 100 year war where you follow the QMC between different time periods in his life throughout the war. He starts out as a young sellsword and the decisions made by the players in the different timelines forms the QMC throughout his life in the war.
Will he become a war criminal? A spy? The most sought after sellsword in the kingdom? A Knight or even a King given the right choices and rolls? Or maybe even a merchant, feeding off of the spoils of conflict and the profit from the business that war breeds.
A very episodic quest that jumps between the years in a man's life that references past choices in the new time periods and changed the tone and future of the quest with each decision.
>>46118285
Alright Telltale, you'll actually have to put some effort, thought and work into it if you want it to be good and not railroady, especially if we leap back in time at any point.
>>46118238
It was both monstergirl and antimonstergirlfags fault.
>>46117889
Awww man, I wanted to see catch that quest
>>46118308
You never go back in time, only forward. You might jump from when the MC is 18 to when he's 25. A lot of things might have happened in 7 years and it will be explored upon at the same time as you deal with the current conflict when the MC is 25 years old and so and so forth.
>>46118392
Alright, then that will be a lot easier.
But it will also be a shittier quest.
Watch Baccano. It's an anime.
Just do it. It'll provide inspiration.
>>46117942
>Is it more than one?
>It's probably harem shit.
That's called a love triangle, but it's just a different flavor of the same shit
>>46118448
>Watch Baccano. It's an anime.
That's a name I haven't seen in a while. Got it in my backlog, but I guess I could move it forward and see if I can find inspiration from it. Thanks!
My quest died out just when Review anon was about to review my quest...then he disappears. The curse fucks QM's to no end.
>>46118491
It's like you're me but you're not me. So who are you???????
I thought everyone liked steampunk, so why are there no steampunk quests yet?
>>46118512
Parallel You.
Manticore Quest is up and running
>>46118550
>>46118534
>I thought everyone liked steampunk
You thought wrong. It's like post-apocalypse themes; overrated.
Still, I want to see a quest that deals with the apocalypse, like a zombie or infected apocalypse, but it's not post-
It's DURING everything. You're following the usual schedule of your day when BAAM! Surprise motherfucker, it's the apocalypse. Chaos and shit. Will you waste time saving some office asshole or run for your dear life? Build up a party of people that you've either rescued or some shit.
The only time I could accept a post-apocalyptic quest is when there's a clear goal outside from the typical "survive" or the cheap copy&paste goal from The Last of Us.
>>46118534
>I thought everyone liked steampunk
Maybe if you're one of the geek chic hipsters
>>46118685
I'd save the overworked Chinese business man in my office.
Quest where the MC is part of a "peacekeeping force", defending the countries leadership from the dangerous rebels.
>>46118727
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Where's muh Judge Dredd quest?
>>46118685
I actually ran a one-shot zombie table top game in All Flesh Must Be Eaten about a bunch of office workers during the initial zombie outbreak.
Was very fun.
>>46118233
Yeah, but nobody likes Bernie Sanders.
>>46118719
>Prease save me! I have famiry! I don't want to be dishonoru! I herp you, yes?
>>46116893
>The Dark Judges
Oh, the people on Gate-world are FUCKED.
Okay, Exorcism Quest Thread 2 is up and running!
>>46119144
Come in and stab some ghosts!
I'd like to try my hand at a quest where the MC is the leader of an Aventurer Guild. The players would have a rooster of adventurers they would accompany on dungeon exploring/clearing runs. The world map would be like Darkest Dungeon where there would be ranked dungeons accessible to adventurers of a certain level.
