What are some fun ways to role play a warlock?

Literally doing it for fun. You are to evil powers as Orks are to fighting.

Warlock-bard multiclassing sounds fun. Ofc you wouldn't take anything useful, just the ability to play music real well.
Option 1: Madoka, actually being a magical girl optional! Your character is a do-gooder who was tricked into selling their soul for power. Now you fight for light and justice, little realizing that when you die, your engorged soul will become a mighty asset in the Blood War.
Option 2: You have tread the path of King Solomon the Magus. You are a learned scholar and master of magic, who for whatever reason has decided to bolster his power/derive his power from various dark spirits and patrons. Rather then be a servant of a single powerful spirit, you are on amiable terms with a wide variety of devils, some of whom you've enslaved, others you've made arrangements with, and still others you attempt to flatter without giving too much of yourself away.
Option 3: You're a a smuck who found an ancient egyptian artifact and now you share your body with a magical homosexual from hell who grants you magical powers. You're more or less just being pulled along for the ride as whatever spirit you're sharing your body with decides either to help you, hinder you, or a little of both. Note that depending on the tone of the game, this can be hard to pull off well, simply due to the whole 'alternate personalities' thing.
Option 4: You INTENTIONALLY stole or fused with an evil artifact. Now that you're the first Aasimar with a devil's heart inside you, you seek to surpass the barriers between celestial and infernal. Or maybe you're just a petty thief who ate the Gem of Darkness and now you're on the world's biggest power trip.
I'm sure I can think of more if you don't like any of these.

Animist worshipper of the old gods, without having to be a Druid. You work with a pagan patron like The Horned King and protect the teachings brushed away by the religious hegemony.

An offshoot of that would be the Faustian Bargain, where either out of hubris, ambition, drive or a combination, you have sold your soul for higher knowledge.
Someone who just straight got kidnapped by the forces of their patron and are forever tainted by the experience.
A cult leader trying to make more pacts for your patron. An alternate version would be the Fuura Kafuka dissonantly cheerful agent of inscrutable endswho may or may not just be your patron or an agent of your patron possessing your character

Actually on good terms with your patron. Like, basically friends.
Works especially well if you're evil with a fiend pack. You can meet up every couple of weeks to share infernal drinks and laugh about how you murdered some infants or something.

Teifling warlock can be a fun cliche to play to.
Dad wants you to go into the family business so he lets you borrow some of his toys in the hope that you burn down that orphanage.
Mom just wants her baby to be happy and help people.
Their strained relationship is why you left your home in Dis to adventure.
They both periodically check in to make sure you're being sufficiently evil and washing your underwear regularly.

My favorite is the bumbling fool who got tricked into the whole thing. Maybe they got fast-talked into signing something they shouldn't have or they took a wrong turn and walked in on a cult in the final stages of an ancient ritual. Either way, they're now tied to some magical being who pinky promises that they can totally have their soul back if they just do them one little favor: Beat the BBEG.

A young woman recently orphaned. She tried to make her way as an honest adventurer but it was just too haaaaaaaard. She got more and more interested in eldritch magic, spending a lot of time at an occultist shop. The shopowner turns out to be some kind of spirit/demon/space monster and gets her to sell her soul.
Now she's trying to manage all her crazy new powers, all while trying to find a way to weasel out of her pact.and she thinks the party paladin is cute

My current Warlock is a half elf author and playwright who accidentally end up gaining a lady fey patron as a result of researching (drunkenly investigating) a magical area of woodland. He was meant to be a Warlock Shakespeare, but ended up being more like Rick Castle really, tagging along on adventures to collect inspiration for his work.
