yeah, when trying to make a character unique, heterochromia is somehow simultaneously the most lazy and the most tryhard way of doing so. Yuna's the only character with heterochromia that I've ever liked because attention was never called to it and if you weren't paying attention you could go the whole game without realizing it.

As far as I'm concerned, the only good Heterochromatic, is one for whom Heterochromia is the LAST thing you find out about them.
Take Handsome Jack for instance.
He's heterochromatic. Blue and greenish-blue.
But did you know that? Not likely. It's far more likely that you knew he wore a mask of his own damn face, had a big gold pocket watch, and managed to dress very sloppily in excellently tailored clothes.

I think all of the things I really know about about him, the stuff that sticks in your mind, I know from his voice.
When I think of Handsome Jack, I don't think about how he wore a mask. I think of how he offered me twelve Eridium bars to kill myself. I think of how he bragged about having a pony made of diamonds and naming it Butt Stallion.
Long before I ever met him in person, I knew that he was egomaniacal, sadistic, and hilariously petty, just from listening to him talk. And I think those are his most important traits, and I think that if we'd met him right off the bat, those would be downplayed in favor of "Oh, it's that guy who wears a mask".
