Everyone hates Leviticus edition!

Here are some useful links,

So they said that they'll have some prototype models for Other Side at the Gama show on March 14th to 18th. Should answer a few questions.
>>
Try using indirect firing models like Austringers or Pigapults to snipe the Waifs to prevent resurrection tricks.
>>
>>45967241
Kinda looking forward for the Other Side, kinda let down that it won't be compatible with Malifaux, the way Warmachine is compatible with Hordes or how can you use Warhammer Fantasy Battle miniatures in Mordheim or something.
>>
>>45967297

To be fair Warmachine and Hordes are basically the same game anyway.

I'd rather Wyrd allow the game to grow instead of being tied to Malifaux.
>>
>>45967297
I'm actually curious to see if they are going with a different scale of miniatures. Would make their decision to make the not cross-compatible make sense.
>>
>>45967297
They want it to be a lot more mass-combat, making it compatibile with Malifaux would be, even if they keep the same scale, an excercise in fultility.

Not to mention it'd be completely against the fluff for 90% of the models in Malifaux.
>>
>>45967456
I think that's part of it. In Warmahordes, all the various factions interact all the time, and aren't limited by being stuck in separate worlds.
>>
Ask a book 4 play tester any question you like! I'll answer the first five questions about the play test I get.

>>
Are there new masters coming?
>>
>>45969070
Yup. One for each faction. No dual faction models this time.
>>
>>45969003
Any new waifus coming?
>>
>>45969093
What are their names
>>
>>45969116
Yes, but I'm not sure about all of them. Some of the names are fairly gender neutral.

Guild, for certain, is getting a pile of them. Neverborn master is a chick, as is the ten thunders, I think. Maybe Arcanists, but I know for certain the henchman is female (and her art is available if you know where to look).
>>
>>45969145
I'll give you one name. Make it a good one.
>>
>>45969003

>>

>>
>>45969258
Themes are, in no order (with names to protect the obvious)
Bandits
Fairy
Reporters
Mystics
Sky pirates
Demons
Norse
>>

>>
>>45969230
Neverborn one.
Arcanist if you feel generous and want to give a second one.
>>
>>45969321
Oh yeah, more oni.
>>
>>45969378
Titania.

She's like nothing in the faction mechanically but flavor wise is a perfect fit.

I'm feeling generous, but the arcanist name is obnoxiously hard to spell and I'm lazy.
>>
>>45969435

Aaaaaahh yeah.
>>
One question left. Make it good!
>>
>>45969626
How many entries for the factions are in this one?
>>
>>45969659
Most have seven. One has nine.

And that's just what's in the play test. We don't have, for example, Dr. Sokolov from the TTB Nythera event.
>>
>>45969198

Why am I posting this?
Well, I'm not a play tester, honestly, but a local player is and she accidentally left the packet at the FLGS, so you guys win!

Besides, this thread will die in an hour anyway and like six people will see it.
>>
We get to 50 replies, I'll answer five more questions.
>>

>>
>>45969938
That's my excuse for going and grabbing dinner, hoping the thread would be alive when I came back.

Here's a tidbit to last until I get back: If your faction doesn't have a master who lives and breathes scheme markers, you do now.
>>
>>45970155
My faction are Neverborn. I'm intrigued by Titania. So Neverborn are faires from your list or is she a female Colossus from X-Men?
>>
>>45969435

Are the blobby fairy things Wyrd spoiled not too long ago part of her thematic crew?

At the very least they're proof that you might not be pulling our legs.

>>45970155

>If your faction doesn't have a master who lives and breathes scheme markers, you do now.

So Arcanists are out, and maybe Guild depending on how generous you want to be with Lucius as a scheme marker master.
>>

If she's not fairies, Wyrd is doing it wrong.

>>
>>45970848

>>
>>45970680
All I have are stat cards, so they might be. Can't say for sure.

Arcanist master is not scheme dependent. Guild definitely is.

That's nekimas old art
>>
>>45971035

Eh, I figured Lucius was a bit of a stretch. Collete is the only master that really sticks out as scheme marker focused master.

Also does the new Gremlin master have anything to do with Sparks and the other Foundry Gremlins? I feel like Sparks, three robo Gremlins, and maybe a Mechanized Porkchop seem like a very intentional setup for a crew box, especially since right now they do more for Mei Feng than Gremlins.
>>
>>45971151

>>
>>45971035

Any teasers for the Resser master?

Since you said most of the masters will be scheme focused, does she use schemes to summon?
>>
>>45971340
I misspoke, I think. She's awesome, and is the fastest master to date. No sommoning of worth, but still loves corpses. She may have the most interesting new mechanic.
>>
>>45971286
I'm going Outcasts or Gremlins for sky pirates. It seems like there could be a random person that built an airship and hired a crew that would fit Outcasts, while I can also see Gremlins being crazy enough to do it.
>>
>>45971470

>Resser
>fastest master to date

I'm definitely intrigued.

Are you talking legitimate speed or placement shenanigans?
>>
>>45971831
I'm talking can theoretically threat 23" on a charge using tricks, but can just plain walk 18", and her melee threat without a charge is about 22"

And she can make all 3 attacks at that 22"
>>
>>45972082

What the actual fuck?
>>
>>45972130
She is pretty crazy. The trade off so that she's the squishes the master to date. Her only defense is "don't go near the fight"

She also, has less crew support than Leve.
>>

>>45974321
Hmm, interesting.
>>
>>45974436
Ressurs have two henchmen, actually. The first might see play in a lot of places, as he lets you cycle a card every time a corpse marker nearby is sacrificed.

The other one is a Nekima sized beater.
>>
>>45974591
Have they let you read any fluff? I really want to see how they justify Anna Lovelace into the fluff...
>>
>>45974654
No fluff, sadly.

And on the Ressur master, apparently she has a 1 action that triggers to repeat that turns corpse markers into scheme markers... So I guess that is some pretty good scheme manipulation after all.

Are there any masters that have "You may hire a model with the _______ characteristic at no extra cost", among the new ones?
>>
>>45974710

>>
So who haven't I talked about yet...

The Bandits!

They key off of ENEMY scheme markers. They also have lots of neat tricks to make enemy models place scheme markers. "This is a hold up!" And you drop your 'valuables.'

Their master lets you draw cards when you kill enemies, and the henchman lets you place scheme markers when you kill enemies. The whole crew eats enemy scheme markers for various bonuses, turns them into friendly markers, or just makes more on their own.

The leader has a variety of upgrades he can switch between, similar to Ophelia, but he 'refills' his tricks by spending stones or eating enemy scheme markers. One of his upgrades, when discarded, allows him to, instead of randomizing, just shoot every possible target in the engagement, then push friendlies out of engagement. He's hilarious and chock full of flavor.

5 attack actions?! That's wonderful! I'm torn between wanting the model to be an overworked secretary, or a crotchety old man.

>>
Okay, three more questions then I'm headed to bed. Make 'em good.

And if this thread is still around in the morning then I will post another master, then answer some more.
>>
>>45976095
Which of the factions gains a model whose primary job is ranged support?

And a follow up question would be what does that ranged support look like? (bullets, healing, flying snakes, etc.)
>>
>>45976277
There's a snake based character, but she's melee oriented. The new arcanist gamin are pretty slick at range (with throwing weapons, strangely)

I think there's actually a lot of range in this book, in one way or another. Almost everything has a ranged attack, it seems, even if it is better in melee.

I feel like this book, in general, is the 'tricky shit' book. The Arcanists have what I feel is the most straightforward master and it's still really skill intensive.
>>
>>45975910
>>45975962

Man, I hadn't realized how much better she was at this than our characters work in that module.

>>
>>45976095

Anything for the Outcasts? Interested to hear about the Master, unless it was the Bandit one you talked about.
>>
>>45976773
So close! Rolling again..
>>
>>45976743
Your new master cannot summon. She's melee based, zero support. Just a crazy beater who can trigger for bonus damage by discarding corpses or, with upgrade, cannot be reduced. Her zero deals damage based on the margin of success (think grab and drop). Her whole team is living.

You get a 13 stone henchman fuckstick with "Beating Expert", self heals, terrifying, hard to wound, an upgrade for armor, and he makes Langston look like a middleweight boxer (Langston is really good after all).

You also get what looks like an exorcist turned traitor for ranged hilarity.

Nothing in this book looks like " business as usual " for you
>>
>>45976874
Alas, your question is direct so I can't really play it off. Bandits are indeed the outcasts. There's an undead, tormented bandit and a last blossom bandit too.

They look really tough to play because you're spending time making opponents drop markers so if you're not careful you'll accidentally set yourself up to lose.

They seem like a hard counter to Colette though
>>
>>45976963
That sounds amazing, and terrifying. Very Resser.
>>
>>45977057

Not sure if you would know about this, but what style of bandit are they? Are they old West stage coach robbers, Mexican banditos, Robin Hood's Merry Men, etc? "Bandit" is a pretty generic term so I'd love to get the feel of the theme going on.
>>
Have they added a gamin summoner yet? Any good additions for Brewmaster?
>>
>>45976963
So they are the bandits.

>>45977319

>>

The new Arcanist master summons gamin, but each one comes with a bonus and a penalty. For example, it's immobile but chatty, or it gains don't mind me but can't attack. There's two sets of three trades based on limited upgrades

>>45977271
The generics are actually banditos, but the leader seems like a generic cowboy type. He can use friendlies as human shields, and his totem is a kidnapped doctor. If the doctor ever uses his "hidden pistol" where the master can see it, the master kills him.

Resser get the Norse.

So we got:
>Ressers - Norse
>Neverborn - Fairy
>10T - Demon
>Outcasts - Bandits

That leaves Reporters, Sky Pirates, and Mystics for Guild, Arcanists, and Gremlins.
>>
>>45978704
Well based on those three left, and we know what the Arcanist Henchman looks like, I'd say that Arcanists are probably Reporters.
>>
>>45978954

Sky Pirates feels like it would make sense for Gremlins, but Mystics for Guild doesn't quite feel right given their current stance on magic.
>>
>>45979195
I was thinking about that, which means that an alternate approach would be Guild: Reporters, Arcanists: Mystics, and Gremlin: Sky Pirates.

Unless the Guild are Sky-Pirates... then I don't know what to believe anymore...
>>
>Gremlins - Mystics
Bunch of Gremlins go out into the swamp and take a bunch of peyote and moonshine, and trip balls, following the "spirits".
>>
>>45979279

I think that sounds right. We've heard talk about certain factions having more than one henchman in the book, so it's likely Amina is a one off and the other is the mystic.

Then again, we could be going full twist and have Arcanist Sky Pirates, Guild Mystics, and Gremlin Reporters. Guild Mystic is still weird, but Arcanists would be the faction tech savvy enough to make an airship, and Gremlins like to imitate humans enough that having a bunch of tiny annoying reporters makes sense.

I think if we can see the Guild Master the other two should fall into place.

Plastic Surgery is your best friend. Being able to push 10 inches in a turn by poisoning him with a nurse and is handy to get him places.

Turning everything undead and forcing damage pings with Rancid Transplant while you set up an expunge and drop a construct in their midst is just pure smex.

Also, I love doing Injection on turns one and/or two to get a chihuaha into position to piddle on everything for poison OR to get a nurse into position to be annoying sooner.

Fuck yeah. What faction though?
I'm hoping resers get some sort of Draugr thing.
>>
>>45988188
Ressers, there is a card of their master in this thread.
>>
I'd love to see NB Henchman.

And guy, if you see these doubles, the Arcanist Master or the Neverborn Henchman pls.
>>
>>45992355
>>45992322
I guess both? Lol
>>
>>45992322
You said model/Master.

I assumed you meant one or the other.
>>
>>45992705
That's fair. Previous assumption redacted!
>>
>>45992736
That being said I'd love to see the master too.

I main Outcasts and more toys is always fun.

Nythera adventure, part 4. Not going to say any more than that, so that I don't spoil the adventure for others.

Here's her art from Northern Aggression.

>>45995590
Sorry, got that person's post confused with the post asking about the art for Titania.

>>45995671
Ah, I don't know about Titania, but that's Amina Naidu's art.

I think that they overdone the weapon - it looked better on previous art. Also, the pose should be more dynamic.
>>
>>46001898
Why is there a random desert in the north of that map?
>>
>>46006478
I think it's not so much desert as "we'll get to this stuff later".
>>
>>46005497
I'm ok with the pose, but yeah, the weapon's a bit much.

My group is going through the 2016 schemes with a focus on one each week. My hope is that it gets us familiar with them and how best to score them.

This week it's Show of Force.

How are you scoring this one, /mfxg/?
>>
>>46008213
Mostly with the Viks. I stick Vanessa in the center to benefit from the ley lines and then I have the viks murder as much stuff to make the center a scary doom house.

I know that Von Schill or Jack Daw could hold the center better, but I'm still not as skilled in their play.

Same poster but, I've heard some people using Hans to ping off upgrades from anyone who gets to the center, but I prefer to just wipe out all resistance.
>>
>>46008213
Cassandra+Imbued protection and whatever spare upgrade you want.
DF 7 Henchman giving a - to opposing attack actions is a real bitch.
>>
>>46008691

Hans will rarely get a chance to actually ping off upgrade since bringing him telegraphs your intent pretty hard.
>>
>>46009197
I totally agree. Honestly, I never use him, since bringing two trappers means I can cover the field and, if nothing is alive I'm going to claim the center.
>>
>>46009197
not to mention that it requires an 11 of anything.
Hans is really just Sub-Par, he is really taxing on anyone outside of Outcasts since giving him focus and "smile you.." is difficult.
>>
>>46006478
It is a post-apocalyptic wasteland, so..random magic nuke? Or just no large river connected with hilly terrain.
>>
>>46009796
A shame, because I think he's a cool model by looks. I mean I want a Vash the Stampede figure on the table.

But he is just awful in most circumstances.
>>
>>46011858
He's got some uses. I like him as a counter-sniper, since he can toss a low crow to put Slow on nino/trapper/clone Hans. He can also put reliable damage on armor stackers like Joss/Howard/Izamu.

But he's probably overcosted by about a stone, so it's hard to justify him a lot of the time.
>>
>>46011858
He has his moments. I have a buddy who uses him with Lilith. She drops a forest to block LoS lanes and Hans just shoots right through it.

Book 4 will have some fixes, likely 0SS upgrades, for specific models voted on during the Nythera event. Hopefully Hans gets a little boost.
