Hey /TG/ do you play any background music when your playing Table Top games? If so what kind of music do you play?
>>45858056
I play a lot of techno and dubstep for my Shadowrun games, I don't have a set playlist though
I play a ton of music for our Rifts games. It's pretty cash. Roll20's jukebox function is better than it used to be but still kinda shiesty

Wow I realized that I didn't even answer the question.
Since Rifts is a sci-fi/fantasy game I get to use a ton of different music. Recently I played this cover by Timothy seals of Pyre Light from the Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack during a travel sequence: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRSoc-iyEWg
I also played the Gravelord Nito track from Dark Souls for a big monster fight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IS6imkjmYcg

I've tried in the past, but either the tracks change abruptly during conversations, or they don't fit if the whole scene changes in some abrupt away.
I allow players to play music when they think it would improve the scene, but that either improves the entire scene, or its my friends GF playing some stupid weebidol shit while we're doing something low key.
Its a weird tightrope that I'm willing to let people have some freedom with, but also willing to pull out from under them if I just don't think its right.
