You feel your way back to the conference room in a daze, the pressure in your skull building towards bursting. For the hundredth time since you were handed that letter with the embossed Navy emblem as you glared dirks and daggers at your physical therapist's back, you wonder what the hell they were thinking, promoting someone as (relatively) young as you to a star.

It's not unusual - for a Navy in a global war - but you're not ready.

Maybe you never will be.

Maybe nobody is.

As the conference room door swings open, bathing you in the hubub and chaos and paperwork of War, you stiffen your back and clear your mind as much as possible. You go to war with the Navy and the leaders you've got. You've been called upon to deliver, and nobody gives a damn if you're not ready.

Least of all the enemy.

[ ] Meet and brief the warships contending - start with Jintsuu over there and call in the rest of them; the Chuuni Cuties and the Torpedo Trollops. Getting your core team on the same page is vital.
[ ] See Crab first - look into the possibility of getting some of those radar headsets you tried on Arizona and Kongou into service quick enough for this fight. Radar is indispensable in a night-fight.
[ ] Contact the ASEAN liason - see if you can't talk to some of the Captains your girls will be fighting alongside. Establishing even a little common ground before going into battle might avoid the clusterfuck that ensued the last time a divided command fought in the Sunda Strait.

Then send some of your staff to:

Briefing the ships does need to be done personally, but checking with Crab first to see if we have enough radars is vital.

If we have those radars, we can then brief the girls on their use and set up strategies with knowledge of what equipment we have available.

Haha, so uh, shit has started to kinda go down in our campaign! We get a mission to investigate an underwater cave system infested with Abyssals. Unfortunately, Seydlitz and Graf Spee get separated from the group, and when we find them again, they've managed to capture a Re-class Abyssal and lost quite a lot of SAN in the process!

Suffice to say, the two kraut ships were not exactly the same after that. Add in a fishing trip gone HORRIBLY WRONG when Tashkent and Vetehinen nearly blue on blue by accident, and Portland not being too fond of the idea of possibly having to fight alongside two (crazier than normal) krauts, and we have BREAKING OF THE FELLOWSHIP levels of group drama!

Suffice to say the Admiral got so pissed he literally crushed full shot glass with his bare hand, which promptly got us all to shut up and return to our rooms with no supper. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next!

On the brighter side of things, Victorious borrows one of Hoel's uniforms, gets mistaken for a destroyer, and gets press ganged into torpedo practice. She somehow manages to klutz her way through it, and ends up befriending some adorably an cute Fletcher triplet!

The second is something that we should trust wainwright and crab to handle as settle looks like the kind of person not to micromanage his underlings. Not to mention that the first is important

The third? Settle is too small time to do such things. Since it's Goto's assets we are taking. He should be the one doing it.
