Sometimes I want my rogues thin and athletic, while other times I prefer them with child-bearing hips and fat, jiggling boobs that fill out her skintight outfit perfectly. Both of them are equally valid, it depends on the character you're aiming for and the mood of the story.
Personally I find myself making characters with large breasts, however that is mostly because artwork of the characters I tend to make (martials and sorcerers) have large heaving chests, and it's a little awkward to say "hey yo, this is what my character looks like but her tits are cute little bumps rather than large round landmarks."

It very much depends on the style of GMing you do.
Some describe things in detail, some describe things a little less.
I find that the more detail are added to a description the better. The more details they add the more immersed I feel, the easier it is for me to imagine that I am looking at the object/landscape/person myself, and notice all the details myself.
Instead of the person just being another faceless merchant that I can kill and rob, they become something that is alive and breathing, something with a past, not just an object, but a human, with memories and feelings.
I am just a lot less likely to kill some beggar who stole a few coins out of my purse if the GM said the magic words "He looks old, and appears to be ill. His eyes are red, and his lips are pale, while his fingers are a shade of ebony, and his hair is falling out.".
Again, depends on the group and GM, but I love proper descriptions.

When I play women, it really depends on the character itself. But I've never really considered it unless it's a plot point.
For some reason, T&A are very important lately. It's like it's the mid 80's again. I suppose what body part and general body type people fixate on is a matter of fashion and like all fashions these things fade into and out of style.
Honestly, I've never considered breasts all that important when deciding how hot a girl is. I've dated girls with unusually small tits, medium ones, and my wife's are pretty big. It's not that they aren't attractive, it's just they're not a priority. My eye is drawn elsewhere.
