Those are some tall ass knights.
Sadly I have little of actual historical artwork, but I have much in the way of realistic examples of A&A, as well as a few other bits and pieces I've picked up.
I hope that'll be alright.

http://manuscriptminiatures.com/search/ is a brilliant source of period art.
If people were interested I could give a short talk about interpreteing medieval artwork in a few hours.
In the meantime here are some dead babies (and knights).
of course, 1/2 the fun is mis-interpreting the marginalia.
This isn't exactly period art, but I think it gets the point across okay.

Well things took a lot longer to sort out than I thought it would. Such is life.
I have the stuff typed out, but seeing as the thread is pretty dead and it is getting late I will wait until the morning if the thread is still up or until next we have an A&A topic if it dies.
