Would you have fun playing against it?

Would you table it in 2 turns?

Nah, need time for reserves to arrive on both sides, and the Knight is basically an entire turn to itself.

Make it three.

Fluff question, what are the Chaos God's stances on blanks, especially Khorne?
I'm sure Tseentch can't stand things that can block out his sorcery, and Slaanesh likewise, but wouldn't Khorne appreciate something that freaks out filthy psykers?
On the other hand, since they're all embodiments of the warp, would all four treat blanks with straight-up hatred?
>>
>>44719626
I think it is more like that homeless person on the street.

They just don't notice them.
>>
>>44719626
Seeing as blanks not only block psychic powers, but essentially cause daemons and other chaotic entities to evaporate before them, I imagine khorne and the others don't really adore them
>>
>>44719626

Not even hatred. It's a visceral aversion, a need to get away as quickly as possible. Like how man is evolutionarily programmed to find the movement of snakes or spiders as somehow "wrong" on a very basic level.

That's how a normal person reacts to a blank. Something composed of warpness would be like that plus literal physical (metaphysical?) pain.

Plus, the AoS Start Collecting Nurgle daemons box looks too good (read: cheap) to pass up.

What kind of point split are you looking at?
If you're going 50/50 make your main detachment a great unclean one, herald, two units of plague bearers and some plague drones with an icon.

All the other daemons can deepstrike without scattering with 12" of the icon and taking the CSM as allied detachment cuts down on the "cultist tax" you have to take to get access to elite, fast and heavy support slots.

Plus Orks and Tyranids already got new codexes recently, and look where it got them. They literally got WORSE until formations patched them up, while Eldar and Tau, the top 6E armies got better and became the top armies of 7E.

General Suggestions to continue building this list:

Codex: Spess Muhreens

Tactics: Minotaurs

HQ:
Asterion Moloc 235
Ivanus Enkomi 145

Troop:
2 x 5 Tac Squad w/ Plasma Cannon

Elite:

Honor Guard 105
- Chapter Banner

Sternguard (5)
- 5 x Combi-Melta
Razorback
- TL Ass Cannon

Terminator (5)
- Ass Cannon

HS:

Dev (5)
- Hamath Kraatos
- 4 x Missile Launcher

Land Raider Redeemer

Allied Det:

Also Minotaurs

Captain
- Teeth of Terra
- Artificer Armor
- PFist

Librarian
- Terminator Armor
- Lvl 3 Div or Sanctic

Troop:
Tac Squad (5)
- Special weapon

The idea is basically Moloc, Enkomi, Libby, Captain, and 3 HG are in the LRR and destroy everything on the assault. The squad can in theory out put rouchly 50 attacks on the charge with Preferred Enemy C:SM, Hatred, and Fearless. To support I'll be deep striking termies, sternguard in razorback and regular marines to hold objectives. Suggestions? I'm thinking a roughly 1500-1750 list

At 1923 of 2000 points guys, suggestions?

Dawn Blade detachment:

Core, retaliation Cadre: That bonding knives are everywhere goes without saying.

Commander: Twin Linked fusion blaster, shield generator, Stim injector, Fusion Blades.

Crisis unit 1: three dual fusion suits, Max gun drones.

Crisis 2 and 3: Two units of three dual plasma suits, max drones.

Broadside Unit: Three guys. All HYMP, plasma rifles, seeker missiles and Stim injectors. Max missile drones, commander joins this unit.

Riptides: Two of them. One Burst Cannon, plasma, counterfire defence system, Stim injector, ECPA. Second gets Stim injector, target lock, ion accelerator and plasma.

Drone net:

4 units of 4 marker drones.

I guess I could waste 40 points on Shas'Vre upgrades?

Heck, I can see them doing it for all 7th ed codex pre Necrons and I am hoping we get most of those out of the way in 2016. I cannot wait to see what the GK gets for their decurion style detachment

I also believe Nids and Guard were slated for early 2016 based on rumors. We're still early days in 2016 and the Fyreslayer release looks to go on for another week or two at most. We should know more by then

They're a fire magnet and he can play wound allocation shenanigans for a while, plus they're quite likely to be charged when played aggressively.

Mostly though experience that fusion units die fast, and if I stick him with them he'll probably die with them. Hiding in the 2+ 5+++ unit seems prudent.

Farsight can't do buffmander, and I have enough drones to not need a marker commander, so melee gimmick he is.

Grey Knights or Space Wolves Thunderwolf spam with Librarius Conclave allies. Daemons don't do both psychic and assault well it's one or the other, although you still can have decent psychic support with khornedogs via your HQs (Fateweaver + Heralds of Tzeentch).

On mobile so honestly haven't check the end of the last thread but was wondering if Dark Angel anons are still up. I am the newfag who was bringing the green wing with footballing knights.

I am trying to thin down my list and apparently I can straight up drop my green wing (2x10 tactimarines in rhino) for 2x3 units of plasma or grav bikes and be fine with a Ravenwing Strike force. I already have the Librarian on the bike and attack formation. (2 attack bikes with mms and a double mm land speeder). So I could add two grav bike squads to the Librarian to make a Ravenwing Strike force. Then I could add in the attack formation I already have. This would give me room for a deathwing strike force too at 1500. Then I could add a command squad to one of the wings. Or I could make the deathwing ten vanilla terminators and the support squad with three land speeders and a darkshroud..

WHAT TO DO!?

>Do I buy into GK or Daemons?
Both of these are very fun armies but they don't excel that much in competitive games unless you play them like an arse.

You can get a GK army for like £150, less if you want to run shit like paladins and convert you're own HQ's.

They can do herohammer pretty well, can shred people with mind-bullets depending on how lucky you are, and fuck over any MC in melee.

They are kind of just termies though.

Daemons on the other hand will cost a lot more but are more versatile. Literally every unit in the dex is very different.

I'd say GK if you want a cheap easy force and daemons if you want more versatile and have more dolla to spend.

If you spend all your points on Pink Horrors and other psychic stuff you won't have the points for the large amounts of melee units you need. Could you not have the program actually roll that number of that many sided dice 1000+ times (more rolls == greater accuracy, even better if you can tell the function how many times to roll as well, greater accuracy == less speed) and check how many results were equal or greater than the total you were hoping for?
Downside is you wont get the exact same probability each time with such a math-lite solution, but it'll be close if you are using a sufficiently random rand function.

Can someone help me build new Tau? I started collecting them before 7th dropped and I have a decent army now. Here's a list I threw together based on what's in my collection, stuff I've seen on battle reports, and lists from other forums. Here's the list to save you a wall of text on this thread.

http://pastebin.com/ZsGtxX0k

I want to try to beat my Eldar playing friend who runs Dire Avengers in 3 Wave Serpents, Fire Dragons in another one of the Eldar tanks, some Farseers, Guardians, and a Wraithknight.

Along with those units I have access to 3 more Hammerheads/Skyrays/Devilfishes, 6 Stealth Suits, 1 Ghostkeel, 6 more Crisis Suits, a few Ethereals, Like 15 Kroot, and another Riptide.

>>44721777
So your HQ is literally useless, don't use that buff nonsense with your list you don't need it.
You don't have enough anti-tank, switch the airbursters to dual fusion guns and remove the stim on them
Remove target locks on the other battlesuits
Make sure your riptide has a fusion blaster, not SMS
Increase your pathfinder team sizes, at least to 8 guys
The stormsurge could use interceptor
If you make the above changes, the hammerhead is no longer useful so remove him
Then increase your fire warrior teams in size.

From there, make adjustments and see if you can take a different aux formation
>>
>>44719926
Allied Detachments can only take 1 HQ choice, and have to be different Chapter Tactics
Codex SM Librarians can only go up to ML2 outside of special characters
Drop Pod is far more reliable for your combi-melta Sternguard - AV11 HP3 without Fast/Jink/invuln will die before it goes anywhere against a balanced, not-super-optimized list

If you want your melee deathstar to do something, you need to put more threats on the board so the LR won't always be the priority target (and get vaporized T1). Something like a Vindicator would be the right balance of cost and threat level for your needs, I think
>>
>>44721042

From what I have lurked people don't take kindly to list spam, it took me three threads of simplifying my list and questions to get a response. That said once I get home I will write up both lists and ask which is better.

My only concern is that losing my tactical marines will lose any hope I have to score points. Are there enough killy objectives to warrant an army that focuses on being killy? Would I need to get the dark angel specific cards to make it work ?
>>

>people don't take kindly to list spam
They don't like bullshit spam, like 5+ flyrants
If you're running a deathwing army, you spam termies
Ravenwing? Spam bikes. If you don't spam grav then it's all good

You're better off trying to obliterate your enemy rather than score points. Too much free obsec stuff on the table these days.

Alright I forgot my tablet emailed my list to my computer so I have them. going to try to make this as least offensive as possible for fellow mobile browsers.

Currently I have 1000 points of Dark Angels split between three wings, however with recent advice I've had second thoughts on my list. First I will post what I have with what I think I should get, then the whole second thought.

Right now at 1470/1500 For an HQ I run a Lvl 2 Librarian on a Bike (110). For Elite the HQ rides with a Ravenwing Command Squad fully kitted out with 2x grenade launchers, apothecary, champion and Ravenwing banner (295 pts). Also in elite I bring 5 vanilla Deathwing Knights (235 pts). For formations I bring a Darkshroud Support Squadron with three double heavy bolter landspeeders (245 formation) and a Ravenwing Attack formation with two Multi-melta Attack bikes and a double melta land speeder.

However this new 1500 list (also 1470/1500, I may have a problem) would be a Ravenwing Strike Force with two Grav+combi grav with melta bomb bike units (120 pts/ea) the same Ravenwing Command Squad (295 pts), and a level two Librarian on a bike with Mace of Redemption (140 pts). Then add on a Deathwing Strike Force with another Level Two Librarian only this time in terminator armor (115 pts) in a squad of 5 Deathwing Knights (235 pts) and a back-up squad of 5 powerfist/storm bolter Terminators (200 pts). For formations this list only brings the 245 pt Ravenwing Support Squad with three Double Heavy Bolter Landspeeders mentioned above.

These threads are a hit or miss with list advice/critiques. It's just the nature of those things. Drop your list here, see what bites. If no one bites, try the next thread over. At the very least I'll be here for a while yet and I have a bit of experience with DA so I can at the very least point you in the right direction.

> Are there enough killy objectives to warrant an army that focuses on being killy? Would I need to get the dark angel specific cards to make it work ?
You don't need Obsec to score. Granted you don't have to for a straight tabling as this >>44722037 suggested. Rather, keep in mind that enemies can't contest if they are dead. So say you draw the score objective marker 1 and there happens to be something sitting on it. Kill it dead and score that objective. If you're ravenwing/deathwing that shouldn't be a problem at all. If you're greenwing/deathwing, it might be an issue? It depends largely on your list composition at that point.

Hope this helps

>>44722729
They changed the Smite rule. It's no longer one use but instead it is one attack per model now. So they can keep going super saiyan. Sorta.

>>44722671
Depends. If it's a 5 man squad, fry them with mind bullets and riddle that unit with psycannon fire. You'll kill them eventually. If it's a 10 man squad, ignore them unless you have absolutely nothing else to shoot at. Avoid melee with them unless absolutely necessary.

Here's a secret most people will call you a WAAC fag for abusing.

Each priest uses their ability separately so you have as many try's to pass that ld7 test as you have priests. Take 2 and 4 crusaders then fill the squad up with death cult assassins or un-upgraded cultists and slowly whittle them down from behind your dirt cheap 3++ rerollible wall.

Question;
Could I paint my Imperial Guard as something like Ad-Mech flesh legions without being a laughing-stock at my FLGS? Lots of red and cogs/skulls everywhere, more special weapons than they have any right to have, lots of vehicles etc.

>>
>>44722747
The general idea is to have 1/4th of your table be filled with terrain. Like, Solid terrain can fill up 1/4th of the battlefield. This is more terrain than you'd think.

For city maps, obviously have them arrayed in streets, so you have lots of LoS blockers and vehicles can't run riot.

For open maps, have three to four set terrain areas that are the focus point of the battle, all built up more than anything else. These can be outcroppings with no cover, a ruined outpost on the plains, a supply area, dense foliage, or a cottage with a lot of cover walls.
It focuses the battle onto these main points, and placing objective markers on them will make both sides really want to control the areas.

Better yet, do an imbalanced game. One side gets 500 extra points or so, and the other has two very defensible locations. Players will be forced to try and split forces, with one player getting a lot more cover saves than the other.

the backstory I came up with:

He was just a battle brother in a demi-company of an unknown chapter tasked with putting down a revolt on a hive world. The entire population of the hive world was involved and fighting until the bitter end. An easy task for a demi-company of the Emperor's finest.

They expected lunatics, heretics, slaves, and fools to oppose them. What they found were devout believers in the Emperor whose revolution was inconvenient for the Barons of the local systems. The rebels chant was "Emperor above all!"

It was an unfortunate occurrence, but it had to be done. For the Emperor and the Imperium, the revolt had to be stopped. The space marines to methodically capture and restrain as many as they could, using their weapons only as a last resort.

After a year of efforts the Barons and their pet inquisitor grew impatient and had the planet bombarded. Tens of billions died. Just over a dozen space marines died with them.

The Chapter leadership attempted to bargain with the Barons, claiming the demi-company had disobeyed orders, and sympathized with heretics. Those that survived would be forever marked as traitors.

Needless to say most joined the rebel cause, but some fled.

What life is there for a space marine outside the command of a chapter? Power armor doesn't stay powered on good will and faith alone...

Feeling betrayed by the Imperium, the battle brother and a handful of his comrades roamed the galaxy taking what they needed from whomever had it. In time, they had a quite a ship. They called it "The Forsaken Emperor."

For bigger targets they couldn't handle on their own they frequently hired some freebooters a rogue trader had put them in touch with. The clan-less Orks were as foul as they come, but they got the job done well enough. Eventually, "The Forsaken Emperor" and the rickety ships of the Deff Jakkerz just started traveling together, going after the same marks, and splitting the loot.

Keep the magic 24" away from them and pelt them with psycannons. Stormravens laugh at them and can be used to block their movement if you time reserves well.

If they come in a raider, break it asap and force them to slog towards you. Don't be afraid to back up and lose ground to them, you have Teleport shunts and Gate of infinity to make up for it later, and you should be attacking their backfield with deepstrike anyway. You will not keep the objective by hugging it as they hammer you. If you run power armour, consider forfeiting a turn of Psycannon shooting to out some difficult terrain between you.

If they come from deep strike, play with the map space. With 7E you can run nemesis strike force to make fairly probable landfall before them. Spread your guys out to increase the enemy's deep-strike mishap chances. Leave a huge space for them to strike into that seems safe, but is within reliable firing range of several of your units. I once blocked all useful landing zones and tricked a friend into deep striking his Knights between both my fully armed purgation squads. It did not survive the following turn.

So, comments. I'll split them into list A and list B.

List A
- Not enough punch. Outside of the Ravenwing command squad and the Deathwing Knights, you have very little in way of killing things.
- Lack of any real focus. You've got a bit of everything but again, no focus in the list.
- Solid mobility minus the Deathwing Knights. That's fine though.
- I'd swap out the Ravenwing Support squadron. You're only protecting the ravenwing command squad and ravenwing attack bikes and it's only with Heavy Bolters. You won't get a lot of mileage out of the Darkshroud either since it'll only be protecting the landspeeders. I'd use the points to either bolster the Deathwing Knights or get some Ravenwing Bikes to add more punch to the list. I'd also drop the champ in the command squad and give your librarian toys.

List B
- You've got punch. Lots of killy units but you don't have a lot of bodies. Any losses you take you will feel keenly.
- The focus is clear here. I like it.
- For the remaining 30 pts I'd see about getting a heavy weapon + thunder hammer and stormshield on some of those regular termis.
- The ravenwing support squad makes more sense here as it's protecting your ravenwing strike force though I'd see about dropping the darkshroud for a vengeance if you see a lot of marines in your meta. You can drop one heavy bolter landspeeder and use the remaining points to buy toys for your other land speeders.
- I'd still drop the ravenwing champion. Dropping the banner is also not a bad idea if you don't expect to see a lot of combat. Those extra points can go to more dudes/toys for your other squads.

Sorry for the late reply and I hope this helps
>>

Like >>44724751 said it wont be good but you can do a GW/DW/RW hybrid army for maximum fluff. Belial and Ezekiel leading the DW Strike Force, Asmodai in Greenwing with minimal Grav Tacti-Marines and then use the Attack Sqad with an MM attack bike and double MM Landspeeder.
>>
>>44724429
You can technically run all three command squads in the same CAD now since they only take up an elite slot. You can even run multiples of them in the same CAD too
>>
>>44724698
If you have enough disposable income to get a box or two of terminators (don't matter what kind), then there's no real need to sell the knights. The reason I bring up terminators is because you can easily build up a Grey Knight or Deathwing or even Space Wolves detachment of just terminators to ally with your knights for some quick 1500 games with just terminators and a couple of extra things.

Thanks a lot. I guess I am leaning more towards Ravenwing now. DW+RW fluff is why I choose this army and my current list definitely wasn't representing it the way I had hoped.

Would 2 Stormbolter / Powerfist, 2 Stormshield / Thunderhammer, and a Plasma Cannon be a good loadout for the Termi-squad?

My understanding is that the Champion tanks challenges for my bitch ass librarian, is that not worth 5pts?

I have to use three Landspeeders for the formation unless you mean to have me drop an Attack bike since my formation could lose one of those.

If each strike force brings a librarian as an HQ how should I kit them out?
>>
>>44724855
Take 1 or 2 what? Named characters? For the GK the named characters are actually pretty solid. Draigo is a crazy good beatstick, Stern is amazing cos he gets Sanctuary while Crowe... well, he's flavorful and hurts in a challenge but not much else I am afraid. I admit I am biased towards Draigo and always bring him in any list I write but sometimes I do ask myself if I should drop him in favor of more terminators. I usually still keep him though.

What does your list look like right now? That'll help shape our advice going forward

>Would 2 Stormbolter / Powerfist, 2 Stormshield / Thunderhammer, and a Plasma Cannon be a good loadout for the Termi-squad?
Solid. If you can find the points, swap the cannon for a cyclone missile launcher instead.

>My understanding is that the Champion tanks challenges for my bitch ass librarian, is that not worth 5pts?
If you have nothing else to use the 5 points for, then yes, it's solid. Remember, your command squad shouldn't be in melee unless absolutely necessary. If you can use that 5 points elsewhere, I'd say go for it.

>I have to use three Landspeeders for the formation unless you mean to have me drop an Attack bike since my formation could lose one of those.
Oh bugger. I forgot about that. Oh well, I suppose you could keep the three double heavy bolter landspeeders but you should definitely find the points to upgrade the darkshroud to a vengeance.

>If each strike force brings a librarian as an HQ how should I kit them out?
I'd put the mace of absolution in the Deathwing Librarian's hands. He's the one that should be going into CC anyways. Find the points for a stormshield too. As for your ravenwing librarian, he is fine as is. Psyker 2 is always a must. Roll on biomancy for the Deathwing Librarian and probably telepathy for the Ravenwing Librarian

If you need anything else, just holler. I'll be here for a while yet

Oh. Dark Angels. Uhm. I don't like the Special Characters much for Dark Angels. Maybe Belial. He's cool. He's straight forward, no muss no fuss and provides a nice little buff for deepstriking. Sammael just doesn't do enough damage for my tastes and while he has an ap2 sword, it's only s4 so it's only marginally useful. Azrael is pretty meh as far as Chapter Masters go, providing mediocre buffs and not being an accomplished beatstick. He is beaten perhaps only by Shrike as far as mediocrity goes. Ezekiel is neat but loses a roll on his powers thanks to mind worm. Still, mind worm is a solid power and he's a decent addition to a gunline DA army. Ezekiel... I don't know what the fuck you're supposed to do with Ezekiel half the time to be honest. I suppose he can do chaplain things but then I can get a cheaper chaplain to do that so I am at a loss with Ezekiel.

Long story short, stick to generics. You'll probably have a better run of things what with the points you're saving and all that

How does this sound for the basis of an army

Legion of the damned primary combined arms detachment
3 legion of the damned squads

1 guard combined arms detachment
1 Hq
2 troop squads
3 death strikes

Tactics
LotD squads deep strike onto objects and hold them, death strikes drop nukes on enemies, if enemies are on objects oh well because LotD troops have a good chance of surviving the nukes

The Tau have terraforming technology. They even weaponize it in Mont'k (weather control device). Admech manages to stole some elements of the tech. Imperium and, I think, the Eldar the no longer has it because...grim&dark. Planets are more valuable this way. No idea about Necrons or Orks.
>>
>>44725298
The Eldar or Dark Eldar probably still have it, they just don't really have much use for it. Their population cap isn't due to a lack of habitable space.

Hey, if it looks cool to you, more power to you. As for how much of a dumbass, I suspect you mean to ask "how many games will I lose before I realize this is a stupid idea" and to that I say: I dunno man. That depends a lot on your local meta. Now if you're going to a big even and hoping to get into the top 8 I'd say you're a pretty big dumbass but if it's your local, anything goes really. In a more casual environment I expect you'll do fine with a win/loss ratio of about 50%, give or take 10%? This of course assumes you know what you're doing when you made those decisions. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here, anon. Don't let me down.

Orks orks orks, orks orks.
>>
>>44725328

I don't do tournaments, not anymore. Warmachine/Hordes burned me out hard on them and 40k is arguably a worse game with completely unsupported tournaments so yeah, not going to touch them. I do follow the tournament meta though just to see how it works and for list building exercises. Its interesting to see what some top players come up with as the meta keeps changing!

I like to play non-tournament 'casual' games, but I like to build semi-competitively. The weapons are mostly because they look cool and I figure if i'm assaulting with the Baal Strike Force formation I should be striking first before most units and at S5 with Lightning Claws, should mulch infantry and possibly break even against a lot of characters who i've noticed tend to stay in the I5 range these days unless they're special characters. (Besides, why wouldn't I want to assasult if I'm playing Blood Angels?)

If it helps, I'm going to magnetize the arms on my sarges.

Not him again but apparently he is building 95% of my current list so this is all fantastic for me. Way to go anon.

>mace of absolution
Mace of Redemption? Mace of Absolution are the Knight's Smitey mace.

My biggest problem with the ravenwing command squad is I always want to get close enough to rapid fire and then just scream YOLO and go in for a charge. That said I have only gotten three games in with my Ravenwing so far and keep forgetting to utilize Hit & Run which apparently is a big thing.

Also do Support Squads with Darkshrouds have 2+ or 3+ jink saves?
>>
>>44725470
If your local is filled with lots of 3+ and worse armor, then you'll do just fine with lots and lots of lightning claws. And honestly, you can do a lot worse than put claws on your sergeants. Adding to this is that you sound like you know what you're doing, I reckon you'll do just fine.
>>
>>44725473
Ah yea, the mace of redemption. My bad.

>keep forgetting to utilize Hit & Run which apparently is a big thing.
Keep playing more games and you'll internalize it no problem.

>Also do Support Squads with Darkshrouds have 2+ or 3+ jink saves?
The land speeders have 3+ rerollabe jink saves while the darkshroud has 2+ rerollable jink

Anyone have an opinion on this?
>>
>>44725588
Its a gimmick, its silly, you're spending money on something stupid. Might be fun but run an actual army, since everyone will just spread their armies out when they see three nukes. Or meltadropping sternguard or similar will nuke you
>>
>>44725605
Every army is a gimmick dude.
>>
How many Crisis Battlesuits should one have?
>>
>>44725626
three deathstrikes and some guys with an invulnerable save is a gimmick compared to gimmick armies.
>>
>>44725280
Alright thanks for the info, I'll probably include Azrael and Belial in my army and I plan on doing some fun scenarios with Cypher, so he'll be in my list as well

CSM update within the next 4 months. All the models are planned, that's why there's no introduction box for them yet.

But as you know, release schedules are fluid so there's going to be a bunch of other stuff first. New dwarf range for starters. Rumors abound there might even be some bretonnia in there. Possibly some new vampire count characters too, lots of finecast there.

And of course, masters of the chapter space marines.
>>
>>44719733

Doesn't kat have it all? I just finished listening to "I am slaughter" which I must say was pretty amazing. Instead of space marine battle wank like I expected, it was largely a political novel about the inner workings of the imperial palace in m32.
>>
>>44725642
What im saying is just calling it a "gimmick" doesn't really make it any less or more effective, it's a pointless statement isn't it?

I could call anything a gimmick and it really doesn't say a lot. Just like "actual army" doesn't mean anything.

And saying "they will just nuke you back" is again silly. Might as well not take devastated because they'll just shoot you back right?

Stern guard deep striking in is a fair point and I'd try to cover that with the guard troops protecting the deathstrikes

>>44725652
>CSM update within the next 4 months. All the models are planned, that's why there's no introduction box for them yet.

So on the one hand, we have an anon on 4chan, and on the other, we have Sad Panda with a 100% accuracy record so far.

Just for the sake of my Chaos friends I'd wish they do get an update, but when the top rumourmonger is saying "Tzentch stuff, mainly AoS in 2016, CSM maybe in 2017" I'd say it's fair to abandon any hope.

Wait, there's an audio-book of it? Colour me intrigued.

Kromlech MANZ are bloody amazing. I need more to run Bullyboyz.

thanks! I know a lot less about Ork lore, but I plan to write some about the Deff Jakkerz too, as well as their interaction with the crew of The Forsaken Emperor.

Anyone know of any good Black Library books for freebooter Orks?

Those MANz are so good!

Not sure about the German military orcs though...

Its mostly Tau, Space Marines, Chaos Marines, and Tyranids. Oddly I haven't seen any Eldar. There are some Guard players hiding about as well.

The Chaos guys tend to double-dip with Daemons, obviously.
>>
>>44725693

I have daemons and i'd love to build a joint army but i'm waiting to see what they give Chaos Marines, particularly if they update their model range at all. The Chaos Marine box set is in dire need of an update.
>>
>>44725863
on models with fewer than 3 attacks, swords are slightly better against MEQ, but only slightly. Against T3 it is 4 attacks for claws to be equal to swords.

Mauls do better than claws or swords against GEQ or TEQ, but worse than either against MEQ. In both directions the difference is quite large.

In short, if you like swords, use swords, if you like claws, use claws. The difference between the two on 2A models is not enough to matter.

On models with lots of attacks consider claws. Mauls are underused but good, just not against MEQ.
>>
>>44725693

The chaos space marines are usually floating around as the second most popular faction because in a way, they're still space marines IN SPITE OF sucking so hard almost nobody wants to play them.

If GW was smart, they'd make chaos space marines good again, but in a different way from Space Marines. I see 0 reason as to why they wouldn't get updated soon. Why withhold them from getting starter sets if they aren't getting updated?
>>
What's the most Hipster army? The one that you're least likely to find statistically.

Sisters of Battle?

this

I have the most fun playing CSM when I try to forget everything I know about loyalist space marines and approach CSM as their own army. They aren't just spikey marines - they play differently.

They are just really bad at what they do. Don't try to play them like loyalists though; they are even worse at that!
>>
>>44725935
Legion of the Damned, if memory serves. It's got a separate supplement and everything, but there's no point in running it.

Sisters of Battle are probably a second just because of how expensive their models are
>>
>>44722776
make it 2 CAD
that means you need one additional troop choice
