Recently: Dick tried to have your victory overturned and failed. You met with the current champion and agreed to go with her to free Regirock.
General rules:
There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.
Write-ins for all votes or always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.
Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as it comes up.
Combat involves rolls! Once there's a clear winner, we roll for the move accuracy/crit/secondary effect. Usually it's just three 1d100s. Sometimes you can get a modifier from circumstances, so be creative! Add flair, do tricks with moves, mess with terrain, whatever!
Call me out on a mistake and receive an apology butt or suggestive picture.

She laughs haughtily. “My dear, a human being is inherently an evil creature. A parasite on what would be an otherwise perfect world. Humans can learn to control their terrible nature, mostly, and many fool themselves into doing so. But at the end of the day, they don’t belong in the same world as Pokemon.”

“My point, is that one faces a choice. Fight helplessly against the way of things, or embrace what you are and be it too the fullest. You wouldn’t ask your Crobat to try to be a Tyrantrum and never fly again.”
You and her share a look into each other’s eyes. You know she’s working you, but you have to admit, if you didn’t know her history or anything about her, you’d want to stay with her and try to work on her rough edges. She’s appealing to the young girl in you as well as the bitter orphan.

You leave, and Aria follows. You hope you’re not making a mistake, but at least you’ll be there to keep her from doing something too crazy.
You don’t have much time. You’ll need pack your essentials, tell everyone where you’re going, and get to the airport right away.
You’re coming up on the Pokemon center that’s on the way back to your hotel. It’s also a Pokemart.
It’s unclear where she’s taking you. It might be the ruins like before, but it could be pretty much anywhere else too.

You arrive at the hotel and run up to your room. Vance is in the common area, doing pushups.
“How’d it go?”
You explain what’s going on. he looks serious, mature, and has almost a superheroic look to him as he takes it in. Then he immediately dispels the illusion by looking helpless and scared. “Oh boy. Jeanine is going to kill me.”
You punch him in the arm. “So, you are afraid of some things after all.”
He scratches behind his head. “Heh. Yeah. At least you’ll be telling Clair, though.”
You look to your bedroom door. It’s closed, but the sound of giggling can be heard inside. You look back to Vance, but he’s already closing the door to his and Jeanine’s room. He mouths “Sorry” as it clicks shut.
You’re rubbing off too much on your friends.
Okay. Now, how to tell Robin and Clair? Robin almost died the last time you messed with any ruins. She might not be receptive to you going, to say the least. Clair’s obviously become more than just a friend, too. She hides it, but she cares, a lot. This is going to be tough.
You could leave a note. You know how people get when they’re emotional, and a note could calmly show your reasoning so she really understands.

Clair gets that same look that Robin used to get when you first started hitting on her in the showers. She rips her hand back. “Weirdo dyke.”
Robin doesn’t chide her. She’s looking at you funny. “You’re not coming to bed? Did something happen?”
You sit down and explain you’ll be leaving with her mom for a few days. You’re not sure what the plan is, and you don’t know how dangerous it is, and you’re pretty sure you won’t have a way to check in with her.
Clair explodes more fiercely than Zappy Dan. You only catch every third word because she’s pacing back and forth and going really fast, but none of them are good, and most of them aren’t things she could say on the radio.
“I see,” Robin calmly interrupts. She’s staring at nothing and perfectly still.
The clock ticks. You need to leave right away.
This is tricky. With one alone, you know what to say. but with both of them there, the right thing for one of them is the wrong thing for the other.
Who would have thought there’d be a downside to having two girls?

You gently toss it back.

You kiss her, then Robin on the cheek. "Whatever it is Regirock is protecting, I really don't want Violet to have unrestricted access. I’ll come back for both of you. I promise you that."
You turn to leave, but Robin catches you and kisses you deeply. “S-six days, or I’m coming to find you.”
Clair nods behind Robin. She looks like she’s backing up what Robin said as if it were a threat, not a promise.
You smile and leave.
Vance is outside, messy hair and goofy smile.
“How’d it go?” You hitch up your bag.
“She uh...assaulted me.” He grins from ear to ear, not even looking at you.
You give him his bag and pull his incredibly happy butt up.
The airport is small and dark. You find Violet chatting with her Blaziken. She recalls it when she sees you coming, and opens the tiny luggage compartment in the small plane she has waiting. “You’ll have to cram in the back.”
Vance insists on putting his bag in himself. “So, you and Emma can both fly planes, huh?”
“She taught me some things, and in return, I taught her.”
You all crawl in, and she starts the take-off procedure. Before long, you’re in the air, looking down at the lights of the city fading into the distance.
Vance drifts off to sleep. He probably assumes she can’t do much while piloting.
“Just you and me under the stars, Kat.” She smiles at you.

“We’re going to a different one. There are three of these specific temples in the region. I found this one long ago.” She looks back in time. “But I found something there. Inscriptions, puzzles, and at the end of it, a large crystal. I carelessly thought to take it, but then I was set upon by a Pokemon, guarding it.”
You relax a bit. “What happened?”
“I defeated the guardian, but couldn’t bring myself to capture it. I became disappointed in myself for disturbing things. However, now, I’m disappointed in leaving the Pokemon. I thought it was acting on it’s own, and nobly doing what it believed in. Now I realize it was compelled by humans into servitude. It’s the only explanation I can find.”
“Where does Regirock fit into all of this?”
She smiles. “Simple. The guardians are supposed to guard until the temple no longer needs them. Somewhere in this temple there’s a trigger to signal to the other temple guardians that their mission is complete. If any of the tribes at one of the three sites turned on the others, then they’d risk losing their holy site’s greatest protector. A mutually assured spiritual destruction of sorts.”
“So we just need to get to the end of this temple and find the switch to signal to Regirock that it’s mission is over?”
“Smart and pretty,” she compliments. “I feel like you’re the little sister I never had.”

She takes her hand back without comment. A long time passes, and you begin to fall asleep.
You wake up to nudging. “We’ll be landing soon.”
The morning sun is just blaring into your eyes. Violet opens a small window and releases Blaziken. You wake right up as you watch it rocket to the ground.
“What are you doing!” Vance bellows from behind.
“Calm,” she turns back and bops him on the forehead playfully, deflating his panic. “Watch.”
Blaziken is a tiny flaming dot. You see it slow down before hitting the ground. There’s still a small explosion when it lands. A circle of fire breaks out, then you see it kicking and breathing waves down in a path.
Violet brings the plane around and lands on the flat, charred surface clearing.
“Well done,” she compliments her Pokemon when the plane comes to a stop. “One more step towards freeing more Pokemon.”
It nods, then she puts it away.
You and Vance crawl out and stretch. She produces a pan. “Breakfast?”

You see a Bellsprout and Vileplume come out of the jungle and inspect the cooled, charred ground. They begin to nestle in.
“Enjoy, friends!” Violet waves to them.
You and Vance take the opportunity to teach Aria Drain Punch. She picks up on quickly, thanks to Vance’s help showing her how to twist her body as she punches.
Breakfast is served, and surprisingly great. Even Vance has to admit he likes it. Violet offers the best parts to her Blaziken, though.
WIth that incredibly uneventful morning out of the way, you head off, following the champion. You tredge through the jungle for almost the entire day. It’s exhausting, humid, and just plain not fun.
You arrive at a small lake under the heavy canopy. The lakeside is surrounding by Slowpokes. Beyond it, there’s a Slowking. The three of you approach.
“Hello,” the Slowking waves to you. “It’s been a long time since we have received visitors. How may I help you?” It’s voice sounds like someone doing an imitation of a turtle.
“I didn’t see you last time,” she comments bluntly, not phased at all by the talking Pokemon.
“You must have come when we were busy with the human child.”
Vance stares, still trying to process what’s happening. You can’t really bring yourself to say much at the moment either.
Slowking gestures to the vine-covered temple doors. “There are clearly marked signs on each door, directing visitors where to take their offerings. If I may be so bold, what offerings have you brought?”
You look to Violet. She takes out a small plastic contain and shows it to the Pokemon. “A strand of hair, from my first born.”
Slowking nods, then turns to you.

Slowking bows deeply. The others follow. “We believed they would. Thier minds seemed made up. I humbly accept my punishment for this error.”
Violet looks furious at you. She lifts Slowking up. “They probably just realized how she was better off under the influence of Pokemon. You owe no apology.”
The others uncomfortably rise.
“What can you tell us about this place?”
“It is the holy temple.” He looks at you curiously. “The steel fortress of worship to the Aspect of Dialga.”
“O-of course,” you say. He obviously expects you to know that already. “Thank you.”
He bows and backs out of your way.
The three of you go inside. The temple is lined with stone and metal. Precious gems glow and give light to guide your way.
Violet sighs. “I remember her. The girl. That’s how I snuck in the first time.”
You and Vance stop. “What!”
Violet ducks around him and keeps going. “Cute child. for a human.”
“Why didn’t you say anything, or take her?”
She looks at him like that’s the dumbest question in the world. “Whoever lost her wasn’t exactly a caring parent. She’d be returned and neglected, when she was sure to be cared for here. I can read Pokemon, you know. I’ve never been wrong about a Pokemon before.”

She misses a step, then goes with you. “And yet she’s safe now, isn’t she? I’ve heard about the royal family. The son especially. Violet stops suddenly before the next room, and so do you and Vance. Weird looking crystals line the walls. Dust twinkles in it from your sudden stopping and you see small beams criss crossing horizontally.
“The floor is trapped. There’s a safe pattern to walk in. I don’t recommend stepping on the wrong panel, or trying to cheat by having a Pokemon float you over.”
“So, what’s the path?”
She smiles. “Admit things turned out for the best, and I’ll show you.”

She smiles. “Caught me.” She moves from the wall, revealing the section that you need to almost figure it out.

He turns his full attention to her. “If I want to get stronger, I do pushups. Making the world a better place isn’t as straightforward. If I’ve learned anything from Kat, it’s that the world isn’t black and white.”
She leans back again. “That’s a fine excuse. Saying it’s complicated and giving up before starting.”
Vance gets really worked up now. “I don’t even know what you want me to do!”
“You’re too scared to try to figure out how to make the world a better place because maybe you’ll run into some uncomfortable truths!”

You grab Vance by the shoulder and tug back. He’s throw off balance and stumbles backwards. “Wait! I’ll go first!” You dash past him before he can object or stop you. For a second, you were worried he’d touch the path with his foot first, or you’d stumble over him or he’d chase after, but you clearly stop him and go forward yourself.
You easily make it across and show the path clearly for Vance. He follows, the Violet comes right after.
“He would have been fine, you know. He was too worked up to stumble or hesitate.”
“There’s no way you can know that.” You watch her face closely for any tells of a lie.
“Don’t you know my reputation? They say I can always see someone’s next move.” She playfully skirts around you.
Vance walks faster to keep with her new pace “So you said all that to manipulate me?”
She laughs. “Some of it. People do lie." She pinches his cheek. "I don’t think you’re scared, Vance. I think you really are a true hero in this world. I think you can save anybody, from physical danger, or otherwise.”
He looks sceptical. “Okay, now you’re just trying to flatter us.”

“So, where’s the trigger we’re after?”
“It should be wherever Registeel is resting. Last time I wasn't prepared and he was on me before I realized. This time, we can split up, one person grabs the crystal and works on getting it loose to agitate Registeel into action, and the other two stand ready to find where Registeel comes from.” She points to Vance. “You grab the crystal, Kat can keep Registeel occupied, and I’ll flip the switch that deactivates the other temples.”
