Your people have been migrating for days now, on the verge of fatigue they are ready to settle. Where do your people settle?

A)By a river; Increased contact with other people. Bonus to food. Bonus to water.

B)In a forest; Increased wood production. Bonus to food. More hidden to other groups of people

C)In a desert; Almost no contact with other groups. Food is hard to find. Water is hard to find. People are generally hardier though.

D)In a mountain; Increase in natural defenses. Weather is harsher on the mountain. Less contact with other people

E)In a valley; Increase in natural defenses. Contact with other groups is unlikely.

F)In a plain; Increase in food. Contact with people likely. Bonus to eyesight range, harder for people to sneak up to you.

Your people decide to stop at a river, believing the water to be a holy thing, the blood of the Earth. A cult has started in your village with the belief that the river is home to the River God. The religion is based around giving sacrifices to the river, I.E. drowning people once a year. There has already been people killed because of this cult.

A shift is happening in your village, roll a 1d100 to decide if the village either worships the river god or not. Over 75 and your people worship the river, under and they don't. Taking the first roll.

>the river give an annual flood so worship to reduce the impact
>Drown God ceremony to baptize newborn/teenage to adulthood in river but in harsh way which high risk of drowning

The cultist have been kicked out of the village, thankfully. They are banished from the tribal lands, migrating to another land. Hopefully far, far away from us. Time for a council meeting on the settlement. What should the village do these next couple of sun cycles?

Your council decides to improve the food situation in the village. Men are sent out to hunt down a nearby herd of deer that has wandered by the settlement, coming back with a nice haul that should last for a couple of sun cycles. The woman have stayed back and scavenged the river bed to find anything edible, coming back with some water plants and a couple of crayfish. Fishing is also expanded with the use of spears to spear the fish that are swimming in the river. Your settlement has a surplus of food.

Six sun cycles have passed, the settlement has grown because of the surplus of food. Time for the next council meeting to decide on which direction the village will go in.

You send a scouting party up north. They come back reporting that they were stopped by great mountains to the north. One of the mountains has a cave though they didn't scout it because strange noises were coming from the cave. They also report finding two black stone monuments by the mountains, with some sort of silver engraving in it, though your people can't read it.

They also report finding two twig huts by a small lake they found. When searching them, they came in contact with another group of people, 10 in total split up into two families living in the huts. Initially timid of your scouts, they seem to not mind anymore. They're offering your people a trade offer, the technology of fishing rods and the knowledge of basic fishing for protection from the native wild life. Apparently there is a wolf pack that disturbs them every once and a while.

Do you accept these terms?

A) Yes

B) No

You agree with the arrangements of the agreement, seeing it favorable for your settlement. The fish hut people teach you the basics of fishing and how to make basic fishing rods, lures, bait from small insects and basic bone hooks. They also throw in a boat for your people, though it's more like a floating raft. Your people can now travel along the river.

Turn 3: Year 2

Settlement Government:Tribal Council
Population: 335
Food: 9 Turns worth

Shelter: Hide tents

You make the offer for the people of the fishing huts to move in with your people, seeing as more people equals more protection. They refuse, however, saying that they don't want to leave the lake as they worship a deity that resides in the lake.

Your people have decided to try and locate some plants of value. They harvest many plants, tasting, rubbing, grinding and smashing different plants to see their effects. They found two plants of importance, one that makes the person who eats the plant highly energetic and highly motivated, the other plant is shown to stop the breathing of anyone who touches it's juices. Further research is needed in order to find any use for these. Which one do you want to focus on for research?

Your people spend the most time on this new plant, loving the feeling they got when they eat it. Boiling it in water is found to make it easier to eat, seeing as it was like sand just alone. Your people are hooked.

They have decided to name this new invention Ku-fee. A building has actually gone up in the village, it's called the Temple of Ku-fee. In the middle of the temple is a fire that is always lit. A new job has opened up, all the young adults are becoming Ku-fee Followers.

This temple is created using animal hide, a lot of it. The deer herd is now gone, your people hunting them to extinction for the hide, though they have collected food too.

A cold front has moved in, the Cold season is going to begin in about 3 turns.

Turn 4: Year 2.5

Your tribal council comes together again. A resolution is passed that the homes of the settlement will be improved. A mud pile is discovered along the river, you're people start packing the doors of their houses with the extra dirt, keeping their tents warm. The central fire is worked on, the people put rocks around it and stack more sticks on it.

The Ku-fee temple also get's an upgrade, a second Ku-fee room to house the ever growing number of Ku-fee Followers.

The Ku-fee berry bushes are now marked on the map as the purple to the south of the settlement.

The fishing hut people has said that they spotted a wolf pack, and they believe that it's the one that's been terrorizing them. Your 15 spearman go out to scout where they are, and find themselves before a great forest.

Should your spearman advance into the forest?

Your spearman rest a bit to cook up some Ku-fee. They all decided to take a little more grind from their Ku-fee pack, just in case things get hairy. Most of the men, if not all, snort the grind, becoming twitchy but having better reactions, and also drink a cup.

They pack up their Ku-fee bags and start to march into the forest. Right before they are about to enter the men from the fisherman huts come over to your spearman, and want to join the hunting band. They are equipped with fishing spears.

The now 19 strong band of soldiers march into the forest. Some of them learned basic tracking skills from the deer hunts that took place while the deer herd was still outside the settlement. Though they aren't finding any wolf trails. They move further and further into the forest, fanning out to see if they can find anything.

Your spearman have noticed that the fisherman people have disappeared, not making a sound. Before your spearman could make the decision if they wanted to move further or not, a roar comes from within the forest. All your spearman turn to face the noise, finding themselves facing a pack of wolves. But these wolves are odd, they're standing on two legs, all of them. They almost look like a man whose is absurdly hairy, though they are stubby. Probably the height of around half a grown man.

One of the Wolfman lets out a howl, following that is a chorus of howls.

The Wolfman get on all fours and start to charge you

Roll 1d100 for a moral and defense check. Higher the number the better your spearman are prepared to repel this attack.
