During an adventure raid on the drow city, Mergle managed to smuggle a small group of his people out. They used the city's waste removal system to escape far away from the city. Never understood why people bump dead civ threads. If OP wanted to continue, he'd make a fresh thread and carry on from the last point, and a fresh thread would also attract new players. If he doesn't, bumping doesn't matter. If there's a concern that the civ ends with the thread then it's dead either way.
