Its that time again. Dusting off this chestnut, lets see how it goes. You guys know the drill.
How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why
Notes:
• Unless stated explicitly, no species ever goes extinct. Old species can still evolve, even if they're not on the latest "chain"
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic
• Have fun

Some Blue Mulu mutate filaments that split to help it grab food.
Whisker Zols have feelers that help them blindly navigate their environments
>>44270951
Quick braf are sleeker and faster than others.
>>44270972
Tough Algea have a thicker membrane to avoid digestion
>>44270987
Spiker Cerar have narrower mouthparts that are better for digging into flesh.

Some fungi evolve hairs to absorb moere nutrients from the water.
There was quite a long period a while ago without any evo games that took off. THey seem to be making a resurgence.
>Some whisker Zols have developed spines to help them deter predation from the Brafs.
You guys always coordinate these threads for when I am out of the house. Pls op, learn from the death of others and only post a new thread once weekly to keep things from burning out and give new people time to catch up on the evolutions.
You have my monitoring, when I get home I'll be glad to create charts and things for the threads.

>once weekly
I think the last one I did (which would be the last one I've seen ) was at least a week ago thursday or friday. And before that I hadn't seen any for at least a month.

Nah, I just meant that editions to the game shouldn't be posted back to back whenever a thread dies, interest always peters out. They do better if they're posted once weekly. Although there has been a dry spell since the last few Evo games were popular.

Some algae become attached to one another, and while overlap reduces efficiency, the over share of resources benefits the group,

Some fungi mimic the structure of algae, leeching off of their shared nutrients, whist feeding off of their dead.
I'll do some of this later.
>>44270951
some Braf evolved antenna in order to sense movement and seek prey more efficiently.
The natural camouflage of Tiger Cerar allow some to become ambush predators. These leads them to grow much larger mandibles which hinge at a much greater angle, adapting into Megamandibled Cerar.
