I've been browsing through my 40k art file /tg/, and noticing all the images I have of angelic or daemonic winged astartes I began to wonder, would space marines look better if they were more or less literal angels in appearance? Not necessarily in the face, but possessing mutant bird wings for unaided flight.

Yah, because they're really struggling to look visually distinct with all the different themes they can have already. Being Knights, Monks, and metaphorical Angels isn't enough. Gotta be more literal.
I've converted an AoS Knight Azyros to be my Custodes Librarian and need a fluff justification for the wings. I want them to be a counts-as jump pack. Is there any sort of warp-powered wings or some ancient DAoT schematic I could use?

Also sprye hunters have wing jumpacks. Just go with grav wings the wings acting as grav plates, allowing flight.
