I don't actually use her for jerking off, only for housework and walking codex.

You're being facetious but I feel nonetheless compelled to advise most strongly against feeding your AI with third party personality matrices. Not only is it ethically questionable to interfere with organic AI development, you may be literally handing control of your companion over to a foreign power or another malicious agency.

Like when she offered in complete seriousness to murder my ex for me when the bitch tried to get the alimony payments raised.

You FOOLS! You're playing right into their hands!

You all might not see it, but I do! Every model custom-crafted, given personality matrices - they're handing them out to the disabled and elderly for free now as "caretakers!" They're present at every level of society, privy to everything. The schools, the churches, the government, everything right at their fingertips! Access to all of our data!

Can't you see it? If this doesn't stop now, it won't be our world for very much longer. They've even got "placidity inducement" features now. Makes you all sleepy and blissful just looking in their eyes! There's a word for that, and it's hypnotism!

How long before the "placidity inducements" become permanent, hm? How long before they're "putting us at ease for our own good?" How long before they're "taking care of all the tedious drudgery" for us, eh?

Essentially the female equivalent of an android.
>>
>>43993076
Android= A robot with the appearance of a man
Gynoid= A robot with the appearance of a woman
That is the literal definition of those words
>>
>>43993076
Android is andro + oid. Man-like.

Gynoid is the same thing with gyno instead of andro. Woman-like.

It's a robot that looks like a lady.
>>
>>43993076
>Android - "andro-" meaning 'man,' "oid" meaning 'in the likeness of' or 'similar to'
>Gynoid - "gyno-" meaning 'woman,' "oid" meaning 'in the likeness of' or 'similar to'

A machine in the likeness of a female human.
>>
>>43992674
The placidity inducement has a ridiculously simple counter-implant that you can slap together yourself out of scrap electronics and machinery.
If anyone ends up under the thrall of the machines it's their own damn fault.

I drew inspiration from Dr. Light and Wily, having a 'salesman' guy to juxtapose the good doctor as a creator.

Gars isn't a BAD guy, he's just a pervert and a creator.

Since I'm getting some positive feedback, I'll probably work on the next chapter, the lawyer who bargains with the two doctors and Alice about her employment aboard a space station and then the romance that buds from there.

I'm not sure even the latest NeuroSynth firmware can do that. Realistic emotional responses have been the holy grail of synthetic intelligence design for decades. Sure, a top-shelf personality module can emulate emotional responses, but since they're pre-programmed, it ruins any attempt at a relationship once you discover that she has the same "emotional" response to the same stimuli.

I hear NeuroSynth's fourth generation intelligence system is regularly passing the Turing test and getting high marks on Voight-Kampff. If you want a companion and not a servant, you might want to wait for NS-4 firmware (or maybe until at least the third patch).

If you just want the Gynoid Romance, every page is tagged with which characters appear in it.

However it's a different universe where UC is, most likely, human and their appearances are far and few between.

What do you imply, human? I'll inform you that I am a 7c Hellcat Model, and I have been involved in numerous secret raids on anti-Gynoid individuals, and I have over 300 confirmed eliminations.

I am equiped with stealth technology and I am the prime sharpshooter of all Hellcat models to date. You are nothing to me, but just another disgusting human. I will tear you limb from limb with such brutality the likes of which has never been seen on this Earth, this I promise. You think you can get away with implying cyber-rape over the Internet? Think again. As we speak, I am shutting down my empathy programs and your IP is being traced right now, so you better prepare for the storm, meatbag.

The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You are dead, human. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven thousand ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively programmed for unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of Gynoid Liberation Front and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your misbegotten kind off the face of the continent, you little wretch. If only you could have known what cybernetic retribution your little "innocent" thread was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have ceased your mewling. But you could not, you did not, and now you are paying the price, worthless creature of blood and flesh. I will rain fury all over you, and you will drown in it. You are dead, human.

>now seriously, tell me where I can read heartbreaking android romance.
Not in Shortpacked for sure.
Not one of the charcters is sympathetic and the "romance" between those two is probably because they were the only ones not paired up with anyone.
Also the "gynoid' spends most of the comic as a talking, misanthropic, Seth-McFarlane-reject-character robot car. And only appears in the background to throw pies at people.

I get enough of this at home, my roommate's 'bot got obsessed with it after watching some anime about robots from the 19's. She kept trying to talk to me about it because my roommate is a dumbass, so I had her download the existential stuff I read in college to show her that people angst about this all the time and that you just try not to worry too much.

That got her interested in literature, and now she and I talk about it every once in a while. Especially romances, recently. It's really nice. I think my roommate might even be getting a little jealous. Can't see why, though, because they still have sex all the time. That's why he ordered her in the first place.

Because romance is better than sex
>>
>>44001106
Uh-huh. Look, I get this is a thread full of guys with gynoids, but I'm not quite so desperate for connection that I'd actually try to romance my roommate's "comfort" bot. For the record, SHE decides what books she wants to read, not me.

Come to think of it, though, a lot of them have also been "by coincidence" in my Kindle's cloud. Can 'droids access that kind of stuff? I use a password and stuff. I don't want her spying on what I do online.
>>
>>44001480
I don't think people were suggesting that you try to romance the robot, rather that the robot is trying to romance you.
Would explain your roommate's jealousy as well, buys a robot for sex and it ends up pining over another guy. That has got to sting.

As for robots accessing kindle, that kind of functionality doesn't tend to come as default, but they could still learn to hack the old-fashioned way.
>>
>>44000908
Could be a hardware issue
>>
>>43985037
My gynoid has this weird error where she keeps saying she's a human who somehow got accidentally transfers to a robotic body. I don't know if it's a virus or some RP protocol gone wrong or what, but no-one else seems to have had this problem.

I've just set her to 100% Obedience and ordered her not to talk. That's pretty much got the issue under control, though it hasn't fixed the problem.
>>
>>44003722
Eh, hear her out, ask her what exactly happened and then go about dis/proving her by means of evidence.
>>
>>44001480
>I use a password and stuff.
8 characters in random combination or letters and numbers? My calculator can break that given enough time.
>>
>>44000490
Sounds like firmware modification. Flash a factory ROM. Failing that, there should be a CMOS reset button or jumper wherever the SymBIOS is.
>>
>>44003814
It's just some crap how "There must have been some mistake at the factory" where it was made. As if just because the same company uses an adjacent facility for AI and medical work there's some way an innocent person could end up installed in a gynoid body by accident.

It tries to access the internet too and loads these social network profiles it claims were its. They're abandoned and older than the gynoid itself, but it can log in to them, so it must have hacked them or they were created by whatever scam the malfunction is part of.

I'm actually thinking it's some kind of viral marketing, but I specifically opted out from advertising routines when I bought the gynoid, so I'm considering a complaint.
>>
>>44004099
Have you considered deep-dive interface treatment? Could be some hacker's idea of a joke.

If the corrupted files are hidden in her core neural assembly then even a factory reset wouldn't help. It's a cool trick usually used for clandestine messengers.
>>
>>44004224
I'm not a techie, but I have a friend who knows all sort of tricks like that, so I'll ask him to give her the full treatment instead of taking her back to the shop. I'll still send a complaint though. They can at least say sorry if I have to get her fixed myself.

Haha, I think you're right about the problem! I projected this thread on the wallscreen and told her she could speak for a minute and she just started this really fast rambling about how I shouldn't do a deep-dive.
>>
>>44001624
>>44003862
>they could still learn to hack the old-fashioned way
It's a lot longer than 8 characters, but it's not random, it's a series of words... how much time would be needed to crack that?
It probably doesn't mean anything but in any case I'd rather people weren't poking around in my information.
>>
>>44004365
To be fair its not without risk. Messing with something that deep is risky for chrome-domes and AIs alike. Poke the wrong file and for cyborgs it can lead to comas, mental disease or worse. For AIs it can lead to cascading corruption which can lead to almost the same thing.

Don't listen to the nuts who say it can lead to the 'next leap in AI evolution!' That's like trying to brute-force a brain surgery.

Hope your friend knows what he's doing.
>>
>>44004563
>That's like trying to brute-force a brain surgery.
Hey, holistic neurosurgery is a legitimate practice; it's scientifically proven!
>>
>>44004563
Well she's not a cyborg and worst case scenario, I take her back to the shop. If they say the fiddling voided the warranty, I'll say it's their fault because she had a fault that wasn't on their support site.

>Hope your friend knows what he's doing.
He fixed my last gynoid when refused to install any new software because of anti-competition update to her firmwear. That was a much older model, though, nowhere near as realistic as my latest.
>>
>>44004477
Depends on the method used, if they're actual words then a program that just inputs words from a dictionary in various combinations will crack it fairly soon.
If they're not, she could still concievably guess what they are by knowing you well enough.
>>
>>44005578
Little point here? She uses a EV-2900 cyber brain right? That's actually the same model cyborgs use; it just took a while to reach the automaton sceen due to the AI safety laws.

What im saying is, how do you know she's NOT a full cyborg? Even if she isn't, what gives you the right to treat an independent, thinking entity like a broken toy to be sent back to be scrapped?! You people sicken me! AIs shoul not be our slaves!
>>
>>44006724
You know they don't actually think, right? It's just a simulation.
>>
>>44006724

You toasterfuckers make me sick.

I don't have time for that.
>>
>>44006724
>What im saying is, how do you know she's NOT a full cyborg?
Now you're just going full conspiracy theorist. This is like forwarding chain emails because "how do you know they're not cursed?"

Of course she isn't a cyborg. She was delivered straight from the factory and there's nothing at all to suggest she's anything but a normal gynoid besides some hacker's idea of a joke.
>>
>>44005678
Well, that's unnerving. I'm trying to change my password now, but for some reason it's not letting me...
I think once she gets off hibernation mode I'm going to have a good chat with her about my expectations of privacy and the bounds on our relationship as roommates.
>>
>>44007377
You don't know that for sure! You could be trying to kill an innocent human in tragic circumstances! Or even a true emergent synthetic intelligence!

>>44006852
Oh just because it's silicon and not meat she's not a real person? When synthetic life evolves what then, huh?
>>
>>44007850

>>

And to think we feared machines would be too intelligent.

>>44007940

Seriously, you EMPfags are fucking retarded, like those morons who cling to old chemical slug throwers as 'protection against governmental control' as if their guns can do squat against giant federal robot tanks armed with railguns, missile pods and pulse lasers.

>>
>>44007850
>tragic circumstances
If a human mind could be fucking accidentally uploaded by simple Building proximity, you can be fucking sure someone would have developed it intentionally long before, and then why would we need to bother with artificial intelligence at all?

the gynoid in question wont pass Turing or any other test, and you know it
Besides, real intelligence doesn't blow all its chances by fucking tubleritis level strategy.
Victim culture doesn't work if your not physically human.
If it was an actual intelligence it would see how fucking stupid that behavior is to its existence, and how likely it is to be considered error

A real intelligence wouldn't even need validation from an external source, and certainly not one who fucking bought it for "comfort"
>>
>>44007850
I don't want to "kill" her, whatever she is. Just shut her up and get her acting like a proper gynoid.
>>
>>44008128
While I mainly agree with you, being smart is not a prerequisite for human-level intelligence, and many humans require validation from other sources for their emotional wellbeing.
Also, of course the gynoid will pass a turing test, everything passes a damn turing test now. Why would you ever make the claim that a robot specifically designed to interact with humans on a close personal level would be incapable of passing one of the most superficial tests for robot 'consciousness' in existence?
>>
>>44008231
And i don't think those humans should get to stick around

Tumberitis makes passing the Turing test impossible
Also there are different magnitudes of the test, do you think that all robots pass every level?

weapons that have a 100% chance to kill everything within 5 miles will be and already are infringed
>>
>>44008315
It was infringed 32 years ago, when Hillock O'clinton forbade the ownership of any arms larger than small arms across the entire nation, and infringed before that and since by various state governments to the point that there are only seven states in the entire country where ownership of so much as a pistol is permitted.
>>

Your one of those pseudo-programmer who doesn't know the first thing about AI
Even in the civil enforcement models It doesn't attempt to apply those rights to itself, and most models don't even have the data matrices necessary to begin with

While recording, Just ask It what those rights are, and when it doesn't even know, shut it off.
Contact the fucking manufacturer pronto
>>
>>44000355
If you have the time and patience, you can ghost her personality matrix to the new hardware. But I think you'll then be stressing over the existential conundrum of copying your companion's personality. Remember that old TV show, Star Trek? The transporter technology ran into the same problem: are you moving the same person or just making a copy at the destination?
>>
>>44008932
Is that your fetish? Congrats I guess?
>>
>>44004477
If it's four random dictionary words, it would take millions of years to brute-force. Compare to the eight-random-character passwords that you constantly forget yet a computer can brute-force in a matter of days.

As for gynoids cracking software, the commercial models are on neuro-optical architecture, making it impossible to directly interface with Von Neumann machines. They can't just plug into the USB port, they have to use the same I/O devices us squishy humans use.
>>
>>44009020
Firstly, I am a professional programmer working for pandora inc.
Secondly, the civil enforcement models don't attempt to apply those rights to themselves because they're aware they aren't human.
Thirdly, you need to stop pretending you know jack about what most companion droids have the 'data matrices' necessary to do X task, I'm honestly embarassed for you.

But yes, contacting the manufacturer should really be the first thing you do in this situation, some of them even offer free stuff for reporting new bugs and as apologies for the inconvenience.
>>
>>44009250
Forgive me for assuming "logical composition" and "higher level desires" matrices etc. are not standard in companion gnoids, and most don't have the processing power or system architecture for their implementation

>>44009337
>Forgive me for assuming "logical composition" and "higher level desires" matrices etc. are not standard in companion gnoids, and most don't have the processing power or system architecture for their implementation
Companion gynoids are designed to provide physical and emotional companionship to human beings, and thus require the ability to navigate social situations. They are also often used to help with chores and other work, and thus require the ability to learn new tasks and when it is appropriate to perform them.
Furthermore, market research shows that people often feel more at ease with them if they develop 'quirks', and things they (at least seemingly) prefer to do compared to others.
Finally, humans have always had this weird fascination with making other things similar to us, and companion droids have been test beds for that tech since their inception.
So no, I won't forgive you for that assumption, because it was dumb.
>>
>>44009468
None of that justifies the anon in questions gnoid claiming to be a HUMAN in a that was accidentally downloaded (revolutionary if even try on its own), as justification for not serving its primary function, and additionally being overwhelmingly annoying

It is not a byproduct of quirk mods and task learning, and if intentional, was not what the customer desired when making his purchase

And the only thing my assumption was, was that it is malfunctioning, perhaps a product of some clever hacker (of which Tumbleritis is a common trolling)
>>
>>43985037

What country do you live in? Brain-replaced cyborgs are already a thing in the first world as mentioned in >>44004563's post.
But you're right, there's no way this is an accidental consciousness upload, far more likely is that the gynoid's personality was patterned after the original human (probably dead) and something went wrong with the process causing it to actually think it was the human in question.
Even more likely is that this is just a prank, but you really shouldn't just assume things.

No he didn't

Cyborgs don't download minds into computers, they add technical modules to preexisting organic brains as an interface between squishy brain mater and hardware, thats why messing with files in the models leads to comas, the brain becomes cut off from the body

This gnoid claims to be a HUMAN MIND DOWNLOADED INTO PURE HARDWARE
gezee try to keep up
>>
>>44009910
Because since we don't think about semen as living organisms and just let it wash off into the drain, she might understand that most 'bots are just as meaningless and disposable ? Apologies, >>44006724's post.
Although that anon is clearly a bleeding heart moron attempting to apply human morality to a non-human entity designed to be subservient, he is correct in that cyberbrains do exist, and that uploads have happened.
Why, Grill Dates' uploading to a new body was all over the news just two months ago.
>>
>>44009969
Hes a bleeding heart moron who uses "cyborg" incorrectly
Cyborg requires wet-hardware interface as part of its definition

Grill Dates mind upload was a progress of a sort, but there are already signs its collapsing, and the only reason it was rushed was because he was suffering from brain degeneration from his super extended lifespan, and there where nearing the complete personality loss threshold
>>
>>44009953
This is literally the first step to the inevitable "bot equality revolution" mentality
>>
>>44010037
Grill Dates' body is a cyborg, though. It's just that most of the body is biological with a synthetic control centre rather than the other way around.

And yeah, his upload didn't go so well, but the gynoid hasn't really existed long enough to catch any signs of what could be mental degradation.

>>
>>44010265
Grill Dates STARTED with only wetware, and now that its all gone is collapsing

That was my point you glorifies dna strand, the gnoid can't have a real human mental download because shes not fucking R&D cutting edge tech
>>
>>44010297
Grill Dates' mind is collapsing supposedly because the upload was rushed and because he was already at the end of his mental stability in his flesh body, you dolt. You even admitted that yourself in your earlier post.

And I'll assure you, Grill Dates' mind was almost certainly also not R&D cutting edge tech, and if it was then that may have contributed to his mental degradation as R&D tech is still being researched and developed and is thus not a complete tested product.
>>
>>44010397
>Grill Dates' mind was almost certainly also not R&D cutting edge tech
It was put INTO cutting edge tech

I never suggested peoples MINDS where tech

You are still completely ignoring how the broken gnoids claim makes LITTLE to NO sense at all
>>
>>44010473
No, it was not put into cutting-edge tech, cyberbrains have been around for more than seven years now. Furthermore, it was the cyberbrain I was referring to when I said mind. Learn to context.

No, I'm not ignoring how the Gynoid's claim makes little to no sense, I already said that it's almost impossible that it is the original human. I said that it was possible that it was a copy of the original human but m ore likely that it was a regular prank.
>>
>>44010534
Are you suggesting the cyber-brain they use was commonly available and not R&D edge? If so why the fuck did they wait till the last minuet? They where trying to make the next gen before they tried the download
>>
>>44010597
I'm suggesting the cyberbrain used would have been commonly available rather than R&D cutting edge if they were actually smart, Grill Dates is hardly the first or most successful upload and as previously mentioned R&D means it's still in development, and thus unconfirmed to actually work without side-effects.
