What if the Emperor is, in fact, a perpetual? What if he communicated to the Imperium that he wanted to be cut off from the Golden Throne so that he could die and properly reanimate?
In the few minutes that he needs, if the Imperium brought the GREATEST of their warriors to defend the warp rift against incoming demons, took all of their ships out of warp storms, could they hold the line until he resurrected?

Who cares. The setting isn't going to progress anyways.

The Emperor suggesting that they pull the plug would be a Heresy-paradox for most people. On one hand you're supposed to obey the Emperor but it is heretical to even think of killing him.

Perpetuals are stupid.
Fuck off and die.
>>43921538
It's pretty much assumed knowledge that killing the Emperor will revive him.

Well the Imperium's greatest warriors are busy with Nids invading their home world.

Well, that's been the assumed theory for awhile. It doesn't help that older sources say that the astronomicon was made to be run without the emperor anyways.
However, things like the Star Child and counter-examples like pic related propose alternative possibilities of what might happen.
The Emperor was nothing more than a thief who stole his powers from the Chaos gods thus ensuring that they would stop at nothing to get their revenge on him and humanity in the process.

I still don't understand why people hate Perpetuals when for the most part it's just reincarnation actually being a thing for a select few.
Even the Eldar were capable of it, for their entire species and not just a select few individuals, before the birth of Slaanesh.

The Emperor guides the astronomicon. He does not fuel it. This is basic tuff.
The astronomicon choir forms the astronomicon.

The pre-fall Eldar do not naturally reincarnate like Perpetuals. They had a lifespan of hundreds of cycles which they extended 10 fold via technology. When the technology could no longer sustain them, they use technological devices called "Spirit Trees" to rebirth them.
