As in secession side or C'Tan?
If the first, then they fought under the command of the larger Dynasty's Nemesor.
If the latter, then it's C'Tan Deceiver they followed before backstabbing him...if you can backstab him that is and he didn't pretend to let himself to be backstabbed.
