Not really, it's the book I've had the least use for so far. Mostly because I haven't had any need to creating any powers more advanced than what Basic Set already does, but it does have some cool stuff in it.

GURPS Genre books usually contain a fair bit of usefull advice for setting-building and GMing, not to mention shitton of cool research. For example the Mysteries supplement is like 80% "How to run good Mystery RPG" and 20% GURPS-specific crunch. And I've learned soo much cool things about historical tech through the Low-Tech book.In the OP of the GURPS general, there's some useful links, if you want to look around in the PDF for a bit

I try to play everything but there just isn't time. A lot of my older games rarely get played. I have tons of chit and map based bagged war games from back in the day. I am running a old Milton Bradley game check off. Have played Tank Battle and Carrier Strike thus far.

It's actually two books inside of a movie box set sort of shell. One for setting and one for rules, which honestly isn't a terrible idea.
Both are pretty terrible by the way. The art ranges from pretty good to deviantart trash, and the whole thing is written in this awkward English that makes it clear it was translated from something else with little proofreading. Still I got the whole set for $30, which was $70 off retail for a silly shelf decoration.
