About to DM soon and i haven't really prepared many quests in advance mind throwing a few quick ideas at me?

Without knowing your setting this will be difficult to make
Local baker has prepared what he calls the world's largest cake. Players go on a fairly easy retrieval mission and give the large amounts of flour, sugar, and lard to the baker. 3 days later they have to fight this mysterious 20 feet tall cake golem.

I have no idea what kind of game you're running, so the best I can contribute is this.
Roleplaying ain't no computer game nigga. Just build your entire game around the main story premise.

A clan of boar riding goblins is making well organized attacks against mages, oftentimes gaining magic items outside of their "weight class"
The boars being ridden are actually imps
A wizard/scientists managed to create golems/robots with sentience, now they are killing humans.

OP, a horde of sentient, man sized spiders begin preying on farming villages, leading some to develop cults in an effort to appease them. Your protagonists find themselves in such a village, and things go full Innsmouth
