Though maybe a triple wound is a bit much. It's the same max potential damage as a sword, but the hit class is so much higher that it can easily bypass the flesh and score a triple wound on the vitals.

Literally the only reason the US army picked .45 over 9mm in the early 20th century is that their entire experience with handguns up to that point had been with blackpowder crap and so they assumed .45 ACP must be more powerful (despite evidence to the contrary) because the old blackpowder .45 long colt was more powerful than the .38 used by the navy (it was also shorter, slower, and had less powder, but asking advanced understanding of this shit from cavalry jocks is expecting miracles).

Pistol.
Firearm; medium; single-handed.
Semi-automatic; requires a relatively simple slight-of-hand check to reload after every seventh shot. Not difficult, but consumes part of your turn time.
Ranged weapon; range immediate to medium-long.
Attack is done by calling target, including any specifics about the target, and then rolling a Offensive Perception check. Depending on the target's awareness and ability to act, they may attempt to dodge through a medium difficulty Defensive Agility check (difficulty varying by distance etc.), block using a relatively simple Defensive Agility check followed by a relatively simple Defensive Strength check, or tank the hit using a relatively difficult Defensive Endurance check (to which they have a slight advantage if they're taking the hit on purpose). Success neutralises the shot in the former two and minimises the damage in the latter, whilst failure takes the shot to the called area. Borderline successes are not Weapon Locks, and are dictated by the GM to their exact nature (eg. a borderline Dodge could be a graze or hit to a non-essential extremity).
This weapon requires ammunition; it must be kept track of by the player.
