The Grim Reaper. Joe Black. Azrael. Death.
All parties face it sooner or later. Sometimes quicker than anyone expects. What does he look like? Or she? Looking for images for that which awaits at the end.

Really partial to her when I am feeling poetic
A GURPS game I'm running features several different 'aspects' as living people in the world. Death in particular favors a nice suit and tie, the cloak and cowl stopped being fashionable decades ago.
It's evolution, baby.

Death is a teenager with an emo haircut and his gigantic coffin-winged buddy.

I'm going to get flak for this but...
I love the incarnations of immortality series.

>Death is a non-malevolent, massive spider-thing that gently picks up souls and carries them away in a web cradle
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4CjAM4yHu8
Death as a multitude of crows. Millions of them. Chattering and crowing. To the point that they drown out all other sound and blacken the sky with their wings. Billions of eyes staring at you. It doesn't communicate with you. Death doesn't need to say a word. It's an anthropomorphisation of an elemental force of nature. Once you see it it's everywhere, the noise, the chattering, the eyes, watching you.

You'll get no flack. Sure, Anthony writes for shit but the ideas are cool and you always enjoy having read the book. Besides, the devil is a god damned pimp in that series.

I'm partial to that depiction, especially if you manage to catch the personality on the way.
Also spoilered picture, because there's a serious risk of sadness.

My niggas. Anon, I took that risk and the sadness still happened.

There are different Deaths for different Ways of Dying.
If you somehow die in a fashion that can be construed as more than one way, and at least two Deaths make it to you at the same time, they'll argue over itor destroy the other and obtain their Way of Dying.
That'll give you the time to escape, becoming undead in doing so.
So the secret to not dying is suffering just the right Deaths so that they create a disagreement, and doing so publicly enough that more than one Death will be there for you.

How do I get every death to converge upon me and fight over me?
Blow up the planet?

>non-malevolent
Are you kidding? That looks like something my nightmares would have nightmares of

Think Rasputin, or if you're stabbed with a poisoned dagger and your death is seemingly attributed to both poisoning and stabbing.
Also probably murder, maybe it was also fratricide?
Or if you fall down a flight of stairs into a vat of acid, but break your neck against the bottom.
Both of these being public would make it more likely for Deaths being nearby, collecting other people. Maybe you should use lures and have people being killed in the next room in various ways you are about to go through? Though I don't know if you'd want to go on living undead with acidmarks.
>Blow up the planet?
Death of Planetary Destruction? Or explosions? The former seems terribly niche, but also a very lucrative way for getting dying people.
