After you healed the boy your life became a flurry of activity. Once you'd gotten him back to your brother's palace you had to stave off the constant advances of your brother's slaves, waiting eagerly for the boy to awaken. When finally he opened his eyes for the first time since he fell on the battlefield he muttered only vagaries of a beautiful woman's voice calling to him, muttering insensate before collapsing back onto the bed and falling asleep once more.

Simultaneously disappointed and curious, you allowed yourself to be dragged away by your brother's giggling servants. Much to Chryssa's obvious discomfort, though none of your other companions seemed to care. You remained distracted by your thoughts regarding your subject, or patient rather, even as they laid you out on a padded table made of the finest Elaudian wood, polished to a shine. The heavy scent of incense and opium did little to settle your nerves, and though the head girl in particular seemed a skilled masseuse you felt no more relaxed when four hours later Darzi's voice, heavy with melancholy, intruded upon a rather pleasant bath.

You dressed quickly, in little else besides your loose-fitting silk pants and the light robes you wear underneath your other clothing, and rushed up to the bedroom which you'd relegated the boy to. He sat there in a padded aketon, covered in dried blood, ravenously consuming a plate of rose water rice and herb-crusted lamb. Over the course of a lengthy interrogation you learned that he remembered not his name, his family, his friends, nor his home.

He remembered your language well and seemed to have a loose grasp on the customs of your people, his ignorance excusable by humble origins, but for all intents and purposes whoever he was before you brought him back was gone. He was born anew, a blank slate.

By no stretch of the imagination could you have called the results desirable. Sure he was alive, but there was essentially nothing of his old self left. He would occasionally experience brief moments of revelation upon exposure to something he was likely familiar with previously, but there was no context to frame why he enjoyed something, or knew some tidbit of information. You resolved to keep him as a guest in your brother's palace, under your protection, until you could figure out what to do with him.

After your experiences with the boy, the next day you resolved to meditate upon the nature of your own soul. You had hoped to glean some insight into the nature of souls and their function. It took some doing, but eventually you found a secluded area of the courtyard where you could meditate in peace. Thus, beneath the boughs of an ancient fig tree, you allowed yourself to sink into a trance.

Stripping the outer shell of your divine core proved a surprisingly relaxing task. You noted with no small amount of curiosity that the shell was of a different color than usual. Rather than a brilliant gleaming gold, it seemed almost dull. Like the luster had been drained from your soul. You also found the golden mantle far more uniform in density than in your previous efforts to erode it away and reach the shard at its center. It took much longer for your magic to eat through the strange substance than the last time you tried this meditation, and there were no 'soft' points either.

Upon finally reaching the core you did not find some ragged stone crust surrounding that piece of the gods which grants you life, but a carapace of dull black metal. You poked and prodded the substance, briefly lamenting that you've yet to conceive of terms for the various layers of the soul, before ultimately finding it inert. Your Earth magic did not erode so much as a dent, no matter how forcefully you plied your vys.

Only then did it occur to you that your memories remained intact. You did not forget anything of major import, though there were many minor gaps in your recollection of the last few months you could well attribute to the natural fading of memory. A thought occurred to you, perhaps the hard stone cage which once encased your soul's core was composed of those memories you hold most dear? By reinforcing it, and by increasing your prowess with Metal magic, you have built up that shell, filling in the gaps using new memories.

It's an interesting theory, and one which seemed to hold more than a grain of truth. Looking back on it, the mantle of your soul had indeed seemed thinner than in your previous attempts, despite being denser all around.

Regardless, it was at that point you ceased your endless pondering and finally began your meditation in earnest. The task of reinforcing the shell was a simple one, and in no time at all the dull metal had given way to brilliant gold. So bright you felt nearly blinded by its brilliance.

At the conclusion of your meditation you did not faint, as you had in prior attempts. While unbelievably weary you felt well enough to dine with your brother and his wife. You'd heard of her in a vague sense, the daughter of a Marzban in service of Satrap al-Latif of Marqash. Her father was Maalik Najem, known as the Two-Blooded in honor of his Samrajyan father. The stories surrounding his birth have become a sort of folk legend.

His mother, a woman of immeasurable beauty and remarkable wealth according to the legend, was kidnapped during a raid by the forces of the Samraat. He killed a hundred of her servants but could not bear to raise the sword against a creature as lovely as her. Her brother came to rescue her from the clutches of the raiders, and upon meeting Maalik's father found himself challenged to a contest of arms. Wielding strange magics he tricked Maalik's father into slaying his own men, and the guilt weighed so heavily upon the man's consciousness that he collapsed, mourning the loss of his trusted companions.

In his moment of weakness the brother promised to spare the raider, and promised him his sister as a bride, if he would carry out four great labors on his sister's behalf. The accounts from there on conflict in any number of ways, but all agree that the labors were completed and the clever brother kept his promise, wedding his sister to the raider. From the union was born Maalik, a general of immense skill and cunning.

While his skill is not in doubt, he has never met with defeat in any of the dozen battle's he's led, you've always had the creeping suspicion that such tales were just that, tales. Likely fabricated by Maalik himself to lend some measure of prestige to an otherwise minor noble house in a backwater border province of the Shahdom. Whatever the case, the marriage of your brother and his wife brought to the family a generous sum of wealth and a contingent of skilled mercenaries, which your father swiftly put to use crushing a force of bandits which plagued the roads between Marqash and El-Amin. You were still an apprentice at the time, but you recall it garnered your father quite a lot of praise from the Shah.

Whether or not the rumors surrounding her father's heritage are true, Hasna proved wonderful company. Though swollen with child she lacked the bitterness typically associated with child bearing. Witty and charming throughout the meal, it became quickly apparent why your brother seems so taken with the woman. Her personality aside, she is a beauty on par with any you've previously met. An athletic frame with skin the color of coffee, dusted lightly with freckles and well complimented by eyes a curious shade of green, or perhaps gold. They seemed to shift according to the light.

You will say, very short ears. You'd go as far as to describe them as 'piggish'.

Your third day as Matha you were woken early by the 'leader' of the little gaggle of slaves your brother has assigned to tend to your needs crawling into your bed. A woman who's name you learned is Jinan. While it's certainly pleasant to wake up with one's head rested firmly upon an attractive woman's thighs, you find her incessant efforts to tempt you more than a little annoying. She's a slave, and should act as such, even if she became one only recently.

To hear her tell it, she was a girl abandoned in the desert for a deformity at birth, an angry red birthmark stretching along her right side. She was adopted by the previous ruler of Nazir, a Bay and one of the regional power brokers in the contested lands. She was well educated, raised as any woman of noble birth should be, but found herself sold to the Shah as a slave along with the whole of Nazir upon the 'sudden' and 'unexpected' failure of the Bay's various financial investments.

Saying you find such convenient accidents suspect would be an understatement, but you're in no position to complain. The Bay's downfall benefited your family immensely. It meant that the Shah had a stretch of land to grant your father and nearly two dozen members of the minor landed nobility to put under his purview.

Mortia.jpg

You started the day with a bath, allowing yourself to be oiled, scrubbed, and perfumed by the slaves assigned to you, and then resolved to check in on the resurrected boy. The servants had started calling him Vicitra by that point, which you don't think they intended as a nickname. However, the boy adopted it quite readily and for now “Weird” is as good a name as any.

He still couldn't remember anything of his past though he was quite eager to ask you questions about his own death, and how you brought him back. You answered as many of his questions as you could, admitting that you're unsure of just how exactly he died but assuring him that it was quite gruesome. By the end of the conversation you left with the impression that his new pseudonym was fairly accurate.

After meeting with the boy you resolved to check in with Mortia, who at that point you hadn't seen since returning to the city of Nazir. You found her in a separate bath for the women's exclusive use, naked and smeared in blood next to the corpse of a lamb and an unconscious human slave. Her eyes were rolled back in her head and she was chanting some incomprehensible nonsense about the gods in Rhynian whilst administering some sort of poultice to a wound slashed across the poor slave girl's abdomen. A wound you strongly suspect Mortia caused.

You watched enraptured as the poultice started to smoke and bubble, though admittedly that was not the exclusive object of your attention. Freed from the confines of her dress and whatever device she uses to bind them, her breast sat heavy on her chest. Well formed, they appeared surprisingly firm considering their size. Though you must say, the fact they were covered in the still-warm blood of a lamb was off putting. Paired with her wide hips and shapely ass she was the very ideal of an elven woman, except human. Perhaps an explanation for why the degenerate lesser races are constantly mixing together.
(6/9)
>>
Personally she's a little softer than you'd prefer, more in line with what you've heard women in the Samrajya look like. You wouldn't truly call her overweight by any stretch of the imagination, but athletic she was not. She reminded you of the comedic stereotype of the Upapatni, a well-endowed woman who uses her looks to manipulate a man of wealth and means into doing what she wishes. How could you ever be attracted to such an exaggeratedly feminine figure?

The poultice burned away until all that was left was a thick paste clinging to the edges of the wound. You thought that would be the end of it, that the paste was merely intended to staunch bleeding, but then it started to pull itself together of its own will. Thin links stretched between the two sides of the wound, pulling it steadily closed with each passing second until all that remained was a thin line of bubbling black gunk seeping from her midriff.

Mortia blinked, her eyes returned to normal, and leaned forward to inspect her handiwork. She ran a finger slowly, you'd almost say sensually, across the spot where the slave's wound once was. When she pulled her finger away, laden with the remnants of that thick black gunk, she popped it in her mouth with a self-satisfied smirk. Only upon the sight of you standing in the doorway did her face fall, flashing rapidly through a range of emotions from shame to anger to fear.

You fled the women's bath under a hail of shouted curses and assurances that it wasn't what it looked like, whatever it is that it looked like. You found refuge in your brother's solar, now abandoned since the victory in the desert a few days prior. You adopted a meditative pose amidst a collection of soft cushions and plush, woven rugs. With the morning sun warming your face, you slipped easily into a meditative trance.
(7/9)
>>
Deeper and deeper you dove into the recesses of your consciousness, until all color had drained from the world. Until the ebb and flow of vys through the world had come and gone, and the endless sea of lights formed by the souls of all living things had faded from view. The infinite strings which bind reality together revealed themselves readily. They were sounding a soft, sorrowful note, as if mourning some unknown tragedy.

You had to focus to see your own soul, and freeing it from your body was an even more daunting task. It seemed as though whenever you tried to pry your soul out of your mortal shell the tattoos on your arms would suddenly flare to brilliant golden light, the strings which bind reality warping to take their shape and bar your soul from passing. It was only by severing those string, and the strings that leapt to replace them, that you finally managed to free your soul from its fleshy prison.

You quickly repaired the strings of course, the memory of that portal ripped in the fabric of reality still fresh in your memory. On the bright side, it did make slipping your soul into the space between your world and the void a much simpler task. You soon found yourself in that endless grey hallway, the walls barely far enough apart for the glowing orb of light that comprises your very essence to fit without straining the veil on either side.

Behind you sat the dull grey expanse of your reality, and in front the stretch of dark grey that marked the void. Slipping through the barrier seemed easier than in your previous attempts, you barely needed to erode the outer mantle of your soul at all. It almost seemed as though the grey divisor parted for you, flowing smoothly around the dull metallic ball of your soul's core.

(8/9)
>>
On the other side you shortly succumbed to instinct, but unlike previously you did not first need to find an open gateway for your soul to project the ghostly afterimage of your physical body around itself. You suspect Metal magic will make many aspects of traversing the void much easier.

Rather than returning to your senses in front of a rune-carved gateway swirling with immense magical power, you instead 'stand' at the end of a bridge. Behind you stretches the endless expanse of black that is the void, but in front of you... a palace unlike anything constructed by the hands of men. The bridge is flanked on either side by immense stone statues, each one depicting a Samjan man with a well groomed mustache wearing strange armor and wielding a trident.

They're made of a strange material, not gold nor bronze nor any material you're immediately familiar with, and flank a immense doorway of the same material. From within shines a golden light which seems to promise wealth unimaginable, its radiance cast in strange patterns through two enormous, and hopefully abstract, statues embedded in the wall above. Braziers burn to either side, and just above where the cornerstone of the arched doorway ought to sit there are two burning eyes, and a mouth lined with teeth of fire.

It would be so easy to just turn around and walk away. You will yourself to do so, but your feet refuse to obey. You can't tear yourself away from the strange sight, what to all appearances seems a man's palace constructed in the void itself.

Sure, you could do that fairly simply. Actually now that you're a master, you need not necessarily plan ahead to reinforce your mind/soul against foreign invasion. You're able to do it as a reaction to said invasions.

Would there really be any harm if you were to simply take a peek through the door? It's not every day that you discover a vast structure in the otherwise empty void. Besides, this might prove the perfect place to meditate. Just to be on the safe side you channel vys, reinforcing your soul as you walk across the bridge which seems connect the void to this strange palace. Almost immediately the hazy outline surrounding the ball of light at your center grows more solid and defined, color appearing in faint snatches to reflect the purple and gold robes you were wearing when you started meditating.

The glowing eyes of whatever it is sitting above the doorway follow you all the way up to the gates themselves, at which point its flaming maw twist itself unnaturally, as if the creature was stretching nonexistent muscles. When its thoughts mingle with yours, you find them fragmented and disorganized. They jumble together, forming half-complete sentences which are quickly forgotten. It's several minutes before the creature pulls itself together enough to pose a question. {It has been many years since mortal presence polluted this hall. What do you wish?}

It seems that whoever built this place bound a construct to serve as its doorkeeper. At least, you think it's a construct. It wouldn't make sense for an enchanter to recruit a spirit to sit at the entrance of his void fortress and you doubt any of the natives would be capable of communicating with mortals.

You think long and hard about how to answer the creature, whatever it is. In the end you decide to keep things simple. {I wish to enter.}

There's a sharp, high pitched buzzing noise which seems to fill your head, your vision briefly filling with black spots and the gates seeming to twist inwards on themselves. The sensation ends as soon as it began, and the gates grind slowly across the ground. They afford you a passage barely wide enough to squeeze through, and apprehensively you slip inside the palace.

You find yourself at the end of a long hall, home only to ancient cracked pillars and lit brazers housing strange blue and purple flames. On either side of the hall tattered banners hang from the walls, twin doorways permitting entrance to other areas of the palace, and at the end there sits on a raised dais a throne. You think you can see faintly glowing lines crawling across its surface, even from this distance.

>Inspect the throne. Looks like it might be carved with runes.

Only degenerates like that.

Enchanter's Workshop.jpg
181 KB, 1280x648
You follow the smears of black across the floor to the doorway from which they seem to originate, or perhaps vanish into. It's not exactly clear based solely on the tracks whether they're coming from or going into this room. The door is metal, of the same unidentifiable material as the palace gates, and already slightly ajar.

You're at a loss as to how you're supposed to get past the door without physical form. You focus on the idea of your soul stretching out into a long strand so you can slip through the cracks, but that changes nothing. Instead you just try pushing, and much to your surprise you're met with resistance. All it takes is a firm push to send it swinging smoothly inward on its hinges. Perhaps this projected image of your body isn't quite as incorporeal as you thought?

The room on the other side is pitch black, so you manifest a small ball of light hovering next to your right shoulder. Revealed is a workshop home to devices without any discernible purpose. In the center of the room is a rectangular platform housing hundreds of thin metallic rods which seem to be undulating, a wave rippling across the surface of the rods ever few seconds. Flanking this 'bed' on four sides are metal stands housing pieces of ancient, faded parchment. They're home to what appear to be designs for artifacts, though you can't really tell from this distance.

You drift forward, your feet floating just slightly off the ground. As you get closer to the strange platform at the center of the room your light begins to cast shadows across an immense construction hanging from the ceiling, slowly revealing an enormous globe patched in a dozen places by thick slabs of metal and pockmarked by circular indentations, some of which sink into the orb while others protrude from its surface. Two pins, which seemed designed such that they can retract or extend as needed, point towards the orb.

>>
>>43468990
>implying that's not the banished god's schtick and we got jewed out of it because Soma's a total fag
>>
Judging by its position directly above the bed of metal rods, you're inclined to believe they're somehow related. You try inspecting the scrolls laid out on their metal stands in the hopes of gleaning some sort of insight, but none of them seem relevant to the room itself. They're written in an old dialect of Samjan which saw common use in academic circles about fourteen hundred years ago, and seem to relate to the construction of a suit of armor.

You pause to read the plans in a little more depth. They call for truly vast quantities of diamonds, a hundred pounds worth of uncut stones of the highest quality. The plans likewise require vast quantities of Elaudian Steel, and something called “New Bronze”. As best you can tell the armor really just seems to be an elaborate housing for a creature's soul, since later on the author remarks that one must extract the still-living soul of a volunteer and place it inside the “containment field”, whatever that means.

Perhaps it's not armor, but some sort of advanced construct? Regardless, you tuck one copy of the plans, all four are identical, into your cloak. After all, you never know whether or not they might come in handy. Even if they don't, you're sure you could sell them to the right person for quite the sum. You're about to take your leave of the room when you hear metal scraping against stone, something skittering rapidly away from a pair of heavy doors set in the wall just ahead of you.

You don't think those doors were open when you first entered the room.

This method of meditation is ripping your soul out of your body such that it is entirely separated, and then guiding your soul through the veil. No aspect of your body is preserved.

>Then how are we touching doors and shit?
Since your "body", the projection created by your soul, is made of vys you're capable of manipulating things around you. Really, it's because you reinforced your soul. That allowed you to take on some measure of solidity.

You approach the sliding doors cautiously, ready to leap away at the first sign of ancient constructs coming to skin you alive. Grabbing hold of one door where it's been cracked open you heave with what minuscule force you can bring to bear without a physical body, and the door slides open easily. You keep expecting things to be rusted, to show the signs of centuries of neglect, but they really seem to be holding up quite well.

The revealed chamber is well lit by the glow of a portal, or perhaps merely a plane of vys, sitting within some sort of housing. It's created by two emitters protruding from the stone walls, which fill the room with a low, steady hum. All manner of tools are scattered about the place ranging from the mundane hammers to complex collections of metal tubes and glass lenses without any obvious purpose. You don't see any sign of what you heard fleeing the doorway, but this part of the workshop is rather cluttered. There are plenty of places for a creature to hide.

You start to drift further into the room, keeping a wary eye on the portal and any pile of rubble which strikes you as particularly suspicious. It's as you're floating past a small collection of wooden barrels, not in the slightest bit rotted despite their surely immense age, that you finally find the source of that noise you heard. It leaps from behind the barrels, running on six metallic legs towards a pile of abandoned machinery.

It's small, no larger than the average dog, with two spindly arms bolted to a squat torso. Where its 'head' would be there is a metal cage housing some sort of red gemstone, it quite reminds you of Fulvia's core come to think of it. The construct dives behind the machinery, but peeks its 'head' out from behind the hulking metal structures after a few moments of tense silence. You wouldn't exactly call it hostile, it seems terrified of you if anything, but you could easily imagine twenty or thirty of these things overwhelming you.

Drifting forward, you try to find an angle from which you can easily inspect the little construct. It maneuvers itself such that you can never get a clear look at it, but it seems harmless. You doubt it's going to start suddenly blasting you with spells or trying to stab your soul or anything like that. Really it's sort of cute, you wouldn't mind bringing it back with you, if you could figure out some way to do so.

Unfortunately nothing proves forthcoming, and though you make a passing attempt at getting the construct to stop hiding, in the end you decide to just leave it be. It's clearly quite content to just watch you from a distance for now. Instead you turn your attention to the portal, trying to determine if it is indeed a portal. It doesn't really look all that much like the last one you encountered, so you have your doubts. Of course, the easiest way to test what it does would be to just walk into it. Somehow that seems like a bad idea.

Instead you grab a wrench off a near-by table and wind back, throwing it with all your might only to have it clatter to the floor and slide a few feet. It's really annoying to be as week as you are, but you suppose it comes with the territory of not actually having muscles. Instead you just cast a manipulate spell and watch as the wrench rises into the air, then send it shooting off towards the strange plane of energy.

It hits the surface, and rather than vaporizing or vanishing it merely passes through and smashes into the stone wall behind the anomaly. You're quick to circumvent the portal to get a look at the wrench, and find it completely unchanged. It's not glowing red hot, it's not warped or twisted in any way, it just lays on the ground. A perfectly normal wrench. Perhaps this was an incomplete experiment? Something whoever made this place was still working on.

(1/3)
>>
>>43469676
that was done on Korra. season 3's BBEG literally outright killed someone by doing that.
>>
Since it did nothing at all to the wrench, you reason that it's probably safe to touch. Floating towards the field of vys you reach out and lightly brush your semi-corporeal fingers across its glowing, transparent surface. Immediately, your entire right arm is ripped off your torso. The field flashes brighter for a moment, growing outward, but soon settles back to its original size and radiance.

Your arm grows back quickly, it's not really your arm after all. Just a projection created by your soul. You think, and this is just a theory, that what you're looking at was intended to be a barrier or wall. Something to keep out the void's native population probably. Something the creator of this palace never quite completed. You wonder under what conditions the original owner must have fled, to leave something like this active and barely contained.

Since you certainly don't want to try floating through the barrier, you have no idea what this thing will do to your soul and you don't particularly want to find out, you decide to simply look around the workshop in a little more detail, finding more parchment containing blueprints for this vys barrier. It's irritating that the parchment doesn't contain any information about the runes used in its construction, but rather only information on the assembly of an otherwise completed device.

You suppose, if this place was indeed home to some sort of powerful Vatis or enchanter, it would make sense for them to leave out such details in the event of a rival infiltrating their sanctum. It's still annoying, even if you do understand its practical reasons.
(2/3)
>>
Upon committing the blueprints to memory you exit the workshop, returning to the grand hall. The smoke still billows out of the room directly in front of you and the distant throne still glows faintly, but something's changed. You can't quite put your finger on what exactly. You spend a few minutes just looking around the hall, trying to pinpoint anything you don't recall being here when you first arrived, and then it hits you.

The palace gates are closed. You're trapped inside.

>Well shit. Maybe if you channel some vys into the doors you can get them to open up again.

Well, you got in by asking nicely. Maybe the same thing will get you out? Channeling Nature magic you quickly detect a vys signature above the doorway you think should be the gatekeeper. Focusing on that strange creature, or construct, or whatever it was at the gates you try to communicate. {I wish to leave.}

Unfortunately you get no response, or even acknowledgment that you've been heard. You glance briefly towards the throne but it would seem unwise to sit down on what is almost certainly a powerful artifact without first exploring your other options. Plus, you might find something worth investigating in the other wing of the palace. Thus you drift towards the smoke-filled doorway and push it open with minimal effort, finding yourself suddenly awash in a sea of fog. You try to clear it away using Water magic, but whatever it is, it isn't water. Your efforts get you nowhere.

So you throw yourself into the mist and hope that there's nothing waiting for you within, the faint sound of metal scraping against stone following you into the hallway. Seems the little spider construct decided to follow you after all. At the end of the hall you find an archway which opens up to a room conspicuously devoid of fog, a lamp dangling from the ceiling providing light for what appears to be a council chamber of some sort.

You notice immediately that the walls are coated in blood, some of which still looks fresh, but you see no corpses. Nor any trails of blood which might have been left by someone dragging a corpse away. The walls are elaborately decorated with bas relief carvings and inscriptions depicting, as best you can tell, some random Samjan. In every case his face has been chiseled away, but you can tell by his dress that he was clearly a Vatis.

Fuck it.

You decide to take a look around the place but it seems largely abandoned. You do find a scroll, discarded in the corner of the room, which sheds some light onto what this place is. Unrolling the ancient parchment you find that it appears to be a log of a some sort of meeting. The topics discussed range from the reign of Shahanshah Soheil, a Hiacian Empire remembered for reigning during the Rape of Azash and carrying out the brutal retribution that followed, to experiments each of the individuals in attendence seem to be conducting.

This particular log seems to primarily regard the Shahanshah's reform of the tax code, which seemed to favor the minor landed farmers over the traditional nobility. Something most of those in attendance, each one denoted by a letter next to what they said, seem quite supportive of. It's fairly droll, not a lot of any real interest, until you reach a portion near the end. Someone brings up the increasing suspicions of their colleagues regarding their sudden rise to power, and mentions that they might be suspected of colluding with spirits.

Perhaps this was not a single enchanter's palace, but rather some sort of stronghold built by a spirit's disciples? The scroll would seem to suggest that, as one of the attendants mentions their 'blessings' should allow them to easily crush any opposition to their efforts. They seemed to be planning something at the time of this writing, but whether they ever managed to carry out their plan is left unfortunately up in the air.

There's one other door out of the room other than the one you entered through, and on the other side you can see what appears to be natural sunlight. To you, this makes no sense. There's no sun in the void and you doubt that this door leads back to the mundane world. Hesitantly, you drift towards the door and pull it gently open, revealing what seems to be a temple of sorts.

Massive pillars surround a crude stone spire with a metallic seal placed in its center, crystalline growths crawling up its sides and surrounding its base. Just in front of the pillar is an immense runic array home to dozens, if not hundreds, of runes all linked by gently twisting spirals of silver. You could not begin to comprehend its purpose, but whatever it does it must be quite powerful.

>Maybe you could contact the spirit if you channeled a little vys into the shrine?
>Maybe you could activate the enchantment if you channeled a little vys into the runic array?
>Maybe you should fuck off back to the throne room before you tear a hole between a spirit's realm and the void?

Building a shrine seems to have some support, so I'll host a little separate vote while I start writing for activating the array. Final destination.

VOTE
1
To build a shrine to Mahana next to a shrine to some other spirit.

VOTE
2
To neglect building a shrine.

Can we at least say yo Mahana found a pocket dimension in the Void wat do?
