You should probably explain WHY watching the dubs is better. The anime did really poorly in japan, so when ADV licenced it, the japanese studio told them they could do whatever they wanted with the script. So ADV totally re-wrote the script from a kids drama/mystery show to a comedy (keeping the plot somewhat in-tact).

Aachi and Ssipak is what happens when you let a bunch of Korean animators create a fucked up Nicktoon. There's lot of crude humour covering up what's actually a brilliant social commentary, so you can watch it for the jabs and your idiot friends can watch it for the butt jokes. The only problem is that the English dub is a gag dub, but Mondo Media didn't completely butcher it.

Kurokami Medaka is the perfect student. She has outstanding grades, limitless athletic ability, and an enormous sum of wealth at her disposal. On top of that, she's just been elected to the office of Student Council President at Hakoniwa Academy, taking 98% of the votes. At her inauguration speech, Medaka offers to remedy any issue submitted to her suggestion box. In order to help her accomplish that task, she drags in her childhood friend, the reluctant Hitoyoshi Zenkichi. Regardless of the Student Council's staff shortages, Medaka enthusiastically tackles each and every request in the Medaka Box, from freeing the kendo hall of delinquency to composing love letters, with both the Student Council and its members growing after each challenge.

Medaka Box manga is pretty well superior to the anime largely because the anime wasn't well recieved and therefore didn't get much support. It kinda ends at a poor spot, but if you enjoy the mango you'll enjoy the anime.

EN sub'd, Korean language

The first 5 or 6 times I watched it I laughed out loud through most of it. It's some fucked up, unhinged shit. Make sure to spend a bit of time freeze-framing and stepping through the details. There are a lot buried in almost every scene.

Chonnyonyeouu Yeouubi | Yobi the five-tailed fox

It's on par with a Ghibli, thematically similar to Spirited Away but a bit more mystical, with space aliens, and a bit of a high-quality Disney feel about it. Normally I'd not say Disney in a positive way, but Yobi captures a bit of that Disney fairy tale mood at its best. Touching & sweet with a bit of good humor, and the ending will stab you in the heart. In a good way. Angel Beats tier.

Man, i watched this shit when i happened upon it on netflix. Its such a weird movie that really doesnt make a lot of sense because its so directionless. It has a lot of elements that they never follow up on or even explain for that matter, and then things just happen with little explanation. The ending is definitely interesting and might fuck some people up. I knew it caught me off guard when i watched it.

Its a bit quirky and could use better writing and direction with the plot, but its still a pretty interesting movie with the way it plays on mythology and such. There's a lot of lore and depth that it just doesn't really explain or go into. A lot of it is probably commonly known korean mythology though, so if you know that stuff you're probably golden for this movie.

It'll probably be hit or miss with some people but I would recommend at least giving it a shot. I certainly liked it even though I found myself questioning various plot points with no answer.

Since my memory is a bit fucky, if you're really concerned about spoilers, watch the OVA after Ep. 10 so it still has it's major impact before the ending of the series drains your soul of all hope.
