It's the single double session of darting action from Blackpool as half of the field begin their World Matchplay campaigns.
The afternoon session, as always, has Sky stuff in the lesser name matches but there are some intriguing encounters in those four games. /180/ suffers a moral quandary first with the realisation that either Family Guy's Stephen Bunting or kebab remover Mensur Suljovic will go early. Kim Huybrechts, whose last television appearance saw him sacrifice his own brother against MVG only to shit himself against Barney, then faces Welsh muscleman Gerwyn Price who famously dumped Snackpot out of the tournament last year. Lovable failure Terry Jenkins is up next against the completely out of sorts midget whiner Justin Pipe, with the human branch of Wickes Ian White facing the Winter Gardens' first threat of an IRA massacre in Daryl Gurney in the closer.
The other non-Taylor Matchplay champion in James Wade faces annoying irritant and constant excuse maker Mervyn King in the evening's opener, with morbidly obese Stokie Adrian Lewis next against the wobbling Welshman Mark Webster, whose recent good form in the Worlds, Grand Slam & World GP has evaporated. World Champion Gary Anderson plays the last Matchplay debutant in Alan Norris, with the speed quick enough so the Scotsman won't job out like he did here last year, and ending the day's action are midlife crisis man and "Scotsman" Peter Wright and Joe Cullen, who has finally performed like everyone expected him to do so since his breakthrough years ago.
Coverage starts at 1:00pm BST on Sky Sports 3, with the evening session starting at 7:00pm BST on Sky Sports 2.

And that closes the afternoon session which was half great and half grinding and saw two more seeds leave the tournament early.
BUNT MAN was the first seed to drop despite averaging 102 against Big Mensur but following a sensational 134 out in the sixth, the former Lakeside champion just couldn't break the Serbo-Austrian's throw and went home. The Gentle is now a Top 16 player, which is surreal given that he had to qualify for the 2015 Worlds through the European Tour Order of Merit: an amazing rise.
Kimmy's Blackpool curse continued as he choked against Welsh muscleman Gerwyn Price. From 7-5 up, the Hurricane lost 3 straight legs and after tying the game at 8-8 with a hot 126, lost the next leg and then failed to take out D16 with 3 darts and subsequently got knocked out by an 88 out from the Iceman. For Huybrechts, his attitude isn't being reflected in his performances and should cut it out before he deteriorates any further.
Terry Jenkins and Justin Pipe played easily the worst match seen at the Matchplay in a while with inconsistent scoring and finishing, and no composure in either player's game. The Bull broke through with crucial 66 and 90 outs and held on to get past the Force (of Slowness).
Daryl Gurney failed to challenge Ian White on debut and was completely outplayed; the only two legs he won were during a spell where Diamond lost his head. Whether it was the pressure of Blackpool or his general poor attitude throughout the match, this was a shameful performance from the former Players Champs semifinalist.

The big shock of the day saw James Wade, who had never failed to reach the quarter finals, eliminated by the Suffolk Excuse Machine in what was a severely underpar performance from the bipolar former champion after fluffing a number of darts in the first two legs and then giving up after he went 4-1 down. This is nothing like Wade has been in recent months so it is a bit of a concern. For Merv, it is guaranteed he will lose next round as the mythical A-Game only hangs around for 1 match before fucking off and being replaced by nonsense such as "muh back"... oh wait he used that today as well. Cunt.
Snackpot had another struggle against the wobbling Welshman Mark Webster, with the match suitably swinging back and forth before the fat man managed to break Webby and then hold throw in the 14th leg before winning the next two. This has set up a repeat of last year's match against the other Welshman Gerwyn Price where he lost so it should be fun to see if it happens once more.
Gando was at his peak once again against a quick player in Alan Norris, who took the first leg with a great 104 out before getting annihilated by the World Champion, averaging 101 and checking out at 67% to win 10 straight legs. While a 91 average may succeed in the BDO, it rarely gets you anywhere in the PDC, and Chuck was taught that lesson tonight.
Clownman, off his leash for the first time in a while with Clownbitch absent, dispatched Joe Cullen with relative ease; only a 124 in the penultimate leg from the Bradford lad scared Wright but as with his "countryman" before him, he completely outclassed his opponent.
