NBA would have a lot more parity without a salary cap.
The salary cap has expanded to the point now where you can have basically 3 or 4 guys on max deals at once. This just encourages guys to stack teams because they aren't going to make more money elsewhere anyways.
Sure LA and Boston might sign a bunch of people every year, but each team would truly be able to afford only 1 superstar.
Kevin Durant and LeBron's market value is WAY more than a max deal and this salary cap just defeats the supposed purpose of fair competition.

There is so much parity in mlb and european soccer though right? Leicesterwinning the epl this year was so amazing because they had no money compared to the arab and russian owned billionaire teams who spend 50million euros on bench warmers who never see 90 minutes in an entire season. You will never see this happen again. With a salary cap atleast there is a chance a bottom dweller from past season to win the league. Now does a salary cap work in an international market? No because otherleagues will just not do them thus paying more to athletes.

Under the rules of the UEFA fair finance, you can only spend a certain percentage of what the team has EARNED. Having a billion dollar owner helped but don't act like they went out and spent a 100 million dollars.

No nigga, you can't have four max deals. Don't you know how max contracts work? The max is a percentage of a team's salary cap and depends on how many seasons a player has been in the league, it's going to proportionally raise with the cap. GS just got lucky because their big three were all on cheap deals and they just happened to get more money to spend thanks to a TV deal. Adam Silver wanted the transition to be a lot more gradual and prevent things like this from happening, but the players voted against that and wanted their money now. So you now you end up with Conley getting a max worth 153 million and KD signing with a title contender.

In a world with no cap, teams actually have to fully commit to having stars instead of 1A and 1B and then another guy while they restructure.
NBA is completely stacked in maybe 4 teams at the moment.
