Once it's clear a played needs medical attention, the time is frozen. All time lost until that moment, till we start playing again will later be added to the additional time.

No, I don't play football. I suck in playing, to be honest.

Probably Germany or Italy.

I'm neutral.

Sometimes. I once was harrased by a player I gave a red card when I was walking through a shopping centre.

No, I wasn't.

The match will be delayed until the player/coach is escorted out. We can delay matches for 30 minutes, after that period the match is cancelled.

I'm 100% supporting video referees.

Not really.

> What was your hardest decision?
I once had to give a red card to a player who seemed to be kicking a player in the face, while lying down on the floor. Didn't have a proper vision on the situation which made it very hard.

> Do you get insulted often?
Yes. I even got insulted in my spare time once, when I was recognized by a player who received a red card from me.

I don't think we should allow that really. I'd rather see a video referee or 5th and 6th official on a match.

10/10. Always celebrate when assigned to a big final.

how much do you get paid? Give examples

Do you support video replays for referees?

Do you support a rule like in rugby where only the captains can speak to the referee?

Do you think there should be more penalties for pushing and shoving in the box during corners and free kicks?
>>
Are there separated dispositions of referees by religion following pillarisation who resulted in saturday and sunday leagues?
>>
>>69069314
They most likely send a referee observer after the complaint. Even without complaints you'll get an observer once in a while, so it's no big deal.
>>
>>69069364
> how much do you get paid? Give examples
I'm being paid €21,30 a match. Professional referees on high level get much more, around €1,5k.

> Do you support video replays for referees?
I definately do!

> Do you support a rule like in rugby where only the captains can speak to the referee?
Yes, so that's why most players will be booked when they complain to me.

> Do you think there should be more penalties for pushing and shoving in the box during corners and free kicks?
Really depends on the situation, how much it affects the game play and of that player was in a scoring position.

>>69069377
Nope.
>>

what's your opinion of halfway calls? where like a player is fouled kind of, but it isnt a very hard foul, but the ball goes off him and out of bounds

do you call fouls or throw ins for the player fouled in these instances?

do you try to keep "score" in your head of calls where you werent sure which way to give it, so you give the benefit of the doubt to team A then team B going back and forth to keep it "even"?

or do you just try to ignore any mistakes or calls you weren't sure about in teh past and take each call independepntly to not cloud your judgement?

are you a harsh referee calling fouls quickly and giving out yellow cards early in the game to "settle the game down"? or do you prefer to let players play and go with advantages when possible and stuff like that?
>>
>>69076173
also

t. used to be linesman with my dad as the center ref
>>
Do you decide judging by the players' reactions?
For example if you think there was a hand ball in the box but you're not sure and nobody is protesting so you just play on.

I keep them in my shorts' pockets. Yellow in the front side, red in my back pocket.

I don't ref upside down. That's why.
>>
How much training do you have to go through to be able to properly referee matches?
Is it easy to tell if a player is diving on the field in real time?
>>
>>69076173
> what's your opinion of halfway calls? where like a player is fouled kind of, but it isnt a very hard foul, but the ball goes off him and out of bounds
> do you call fouls or throw ins for the player fouled in these instances?

Depends how the match is going. If this is a rare incident and all players are sportsman like, I'll probably give a throw in. If you call small fouls a foul, you'll most likely be calling a lot of fouls. You want to keep the game going.

> do you try to keep "score" in your head of calls where you werent sure which way to give it, so you give the benefit of the doubt to team A then team B going back and forth to keep it "even"?
> or do you just try to ignore any mistakes or calls you weren't sure about in teh past and take each call independepntly to not cloud your judgement?

Never compensate on a mistake you made earlier. If you do so, you'll make two mistakes, not one.

> are you a harsh referee calling fouls quickly and giving out yellow cards early in the game to "settle the game down"? or do you prefer to let players play and go with advantages when possible and stuff like that?

I like to go with advantages all the time, and this works. I've seen a lot of goals coming from advantages.

If the match is asking for me to be a dick and give a lot of yellow cards, then I'll do it. It's really in the hands of the players. If they behave and be sportman like, I'll be a nice referee.
>>
>>69076664
No, I never do. If I didn't see a foul, then there is no. If I'm not sure, then there is no foul either.
>>
What makes a good ref? Some refs, imo, are not making mistakes, but they have poor understanding of the game, so they either chop it into unwatchable 'everything is a foul' game or they allow everything which then makes game nervous
>>
>>69076847
> How much training do you have to go through to be able to properly referee matches?

You'll need to have a good base. Be confident, be able to run fast, a lot, short and long distances. Really depends per person how long they need to train and how often they have to train to keep up.

Also need to have a lot of knowledge about the Laws of the Game. Took me about two weeks to get to know them all. I now study every month to keep up my knowledge.

> Is it easy to tell if a player is diving on the field in real time?

Yes. If they fake a foul, they do their best to make it a big show. They'll wave with their hands, fall too obvious. If you really get tackled, you'll use your hands to catch yourself and not wave your hands around.
>>
How much do you get paid as a referee?
>>
>>69076926
A good referee can find the perfect balance between the points you called out.

Also, referees do make mistakes and that's OK.
>>
>>69076934
I'm assigned to amature football, so I make €21,30 and receive costs to cover my expenses such as money for gas, parking costs etc.

Professional level referees make about 1.5k. At least that's what I heard.
>>
>>69076962
is there corruption, have you heard for bought games?
>>
>>69076978
There was matchfixing not too long ago. One amature team lost with 0-23 to make the number 2 champions.

This was later undone and both teams have gotten a fine.
>>
>>69076991
>0-23

yeah, this doesn't look fixed at all
>>
>>69076995
That's what I thought lol ;)

What's your day job?

> What's your day job?
I'm a Project Employee.

> Are you trained to give special attention to faggot players who came out? If not, what would you do if you knew a player is likely to be shat on because of his flaming faggotry?
No, but we've always got to stay professional.

> Have you met Dutch Royalty?
No, I haven't.
>>
>>69069364
>Do you support a rule like in rugby where only the captains can speak to the referee?
pretty sure that teorically that rule alredy exists
>>
>>69077067
It's not in the Laws of the Game, but we make agreements with the captains each game.

Difference is that rugby players don't speak to the referee and football players still do.

Serious question.
ERA PENAL O NO ERA PENAL?¨
I always thought Robben exaggerated the fall, but it was a penalty.
>>
What do you think about fouls denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity not getting an straight red?
What's your position on using replays to assists referees?
>>
>>69077214
>>69068903

>>69077179
I promoted 2 groups this break, so I'm on a good way.

>>69077211
He did, and we all know it.

>>69077214
He faked big time. He fall way too obvious and found contact too easy.

>>69077246
The IFAB changed the law so there is no 'triple punishment' anymore. I support that. You'll still get a straight red card in some cases tho.

The assistant referees shouldn't be doing video replays. There's gotta come a seperate video referee which is reviewing situations before his opinion is asked. This will make sure the game continues faster.
>>
>>69069500
Am I reading this right? You get paid 21 euros a match? m8 that is equivalent to reffing a YMCA league game here
>>
>>69077347
Yes, but I'm a referee for amature football. When you reach Eredivisie (first league) and Jupiler League (second league) you'll make up to 50k - 70k a year.
>>
>I'm a millennial who overpayed for a referee course AMA

>>
Were you ever offered money to fix a game? Is it easy to say no? Do people threaten you. Any chance you will ever ref a international game?
>>
could you eventually end up reffing more important matches? what do you need to progress in this "career"?
>>
>>69077408
> Were you ever offered money to fix a game?
No

> Is it easy to say no?
Yes, I don't want my career to end because of this.

> Do people threaten you.
It happens, not a lot tho. I've received threats twice.

> Any chance you will ever ref a international game
I've got a long way to go to reach this, but never say it's impossible.

>>69077421
Yes, it is possible. Same as teams, we can be promoted and be downgrated. Once you reach the highest group you could get ask for professional matches.

You're either promoted or downgraded by reports from observers.
