Should have just done what Liverpool did under Rodgers. Keep a strong shape and allow good front players free reign to make something happen. Say what you want about them, but Henderson and Milner are really good at controlling a game. Bring a Kane/Rooney/Rashford/Sterling on after Iceland have been defending for 65 minutes. Hart or Forster in goal, really wouldn't give a shit either way. Forster is probably the better shot stopper though.

Sturridge wasn't that bad yesterday, he played a perfect whipped ball that resulted in a penalty. If other players are carrying their weight and he gets space in the box he does good much more often than bad. Similar to Rashford. Kane and Rooney are good finishers so I would have brought them on when Iceland were getting tired and making more mistakes.
