Theres still alive online racing in Forza 6 where good racing is still possible.
They recently had a leauge for GT cars that had full damage on slightly longer races that would take about 20 minutes each.

>>68672711
Agreed, but hood camera gives you slightly better view without those problems
>>68672711
Feel? Just look at where the car is pointing. The rear camera is objectively the best point of view because you can see the entirety of your car and its relative position to everything. More information eliminates a lot of the doubts and unknowns present in hood/bumper/cockpit views.

>Plus on top of that the cars are homologated for several years at a time with only moderate changes allowed between.
>In terms of bodywork there is currently only three approved bodywork packages in DP and one of them is a minor variation of another. When said bodywork was introduced it all had to meet the same drag and downforce figures and the existence of a factory body kit means you can't run that manufacturer's engine without it.
Technological development isn't the point. The point is any manufacturer can walk up and hand IMSA a sack of money to get their styling cues and badges on a DP. It doesn't matter if the bodywork has the same drag and downforce figures. I wasn't trying to argue that DP is somehow superior or interesting in any way. With DP you could at least have some manner of manufacturer representation, which IMSA needs to survive in the North American market. The current spec of P2 would have helped take that a step further, given its more open chassis and engines rules. The 2017 spec P2s, however, are nothing like that and totally incompatible with manufacturer presence, which is the only point I was trying to make.
But good job reading "P2" and nothing else and then getting mad at nothing, like you do in every single motor/sp/ort thread.
>The test day is mandatory you paint eater.
Only if you have a rookie driver or a driver who hasn't run Le Mans in a number of years

I don't think you understand. NASCAR IMSA has never and will never have any interest in an actually open chassis platform. The new LMP2 chassis rules are perfect for them because they're the exact same shit they've been pushing for 15 years except with carbon tubs.
Had they run 2016 cars they effectively would have been locking the series into about 3-4 cars anyways, because they don't want open cockpit cars and no one will develop a new obsolete IMSA car just to get BoP'd to the same speed as the ones already sold.
>Only if you have a rookie driver or a driver who hasn't run Le Mans in a number of years
That's for the drivers, all the teams have to show up. Plus realistically you would never be able to turn around a car from Detroit, ship it to Le Mans, and have it ready for scrutineering in a week anyways.

Not even trying to play the /pol card, but it's ridden with the bad type of immigrants. Don't even think of letting your parked with something inside, your windows will be gone in no time. Meanwhile, I usually leave my convertible parked with the top down, and my change is still here when I come back. Places that are sorta safe are super expensive, and full of unbearable rich (or wannabee rich) people. Also a fuckload of tourists unable to behave in society once the sun show up.
Bulgaria was fun, went working for Xerox here, and I was a fuckton of money for the country (i was around 900€). I lived next to Parliament, never cooked at home, and got intoxicated like I never was before. I even got a 30€-per-hour whorehouse right next to my house, 50m away from a stripclub.
Going to NZ for a year because it's easy getting inside, it's part of the WHV scheme, so I can work freely for a year without excessive paperwork. Plus hobbits and Auckland seems like a decent city.

Everybody needs to dump 2016 chassis at the end of this year to buy new equipment for 2017, so you've got an entire FLEET of used equipment that isn't legal anywhere else but IMSA. They wouldn't be spending half a million on brand new car, they'd be buying used stuff from Europe and Japan.
And what exactly are Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Mazda supposed to do if IMSA adopt the ACO's 2017 regs as-is? They'll leave the series, and the series will die. IMSA needs manufacturer involvement to survive, and THAT means allowing the manufacturers to run THEIR engines and put THEIR branding and styling on the cars. It is SPECIFICALLY forbidden to do that under 2017 ACO P2 rules.
IMSA can either continue to do what they're doing now, using an ACO base chassis with open engine and custom bodywork, OR grandfather their current shit for another year and do something completely different for 2018. They cannot afford to adopt the ACO's regs wholly, or else its the death of prototype racing in IMSA.

I saw Pastor Maldonado and didn't know who he was! I'm just not up with that stuff. I was so close to his car! My pitcrew mate next to me didn't say who he was as he was approaching three metres from me. I'm not the kind of guy to refuel his car, which I'm sure Pastor Maldonado was very happy about!!!

>And what exactly are Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Mazda supposed to do if IMSA adopt the ACO's 2017 regs as-is? They'll leave the series, and the series will die
I'll take "things only you are talking about" for 100.
The claim was that the only reason IMSA made DPi what it is was so they could race the same car at Le Mans and the implication was that IMSA was forced to accept restrictive chassis rules to do so when IMSA themselves happily run under even more restrictive chassis rules of their own now.
They're still getting a cheap, tightly regulated base car that meets current safety standards, I'm sure they're pissed about not being eligible for P2 at Le Mans but it hardly renders the concept of DPi irrelevant.
I mean these are the guys that told ACO cars to go fuck themselves for most of the last two decades.

No, YOU tried to imply that DP was exactly the same concept as 2017 ACO-P2. DP is technologically more restrictive, absolutely, but I was never talking about technological development. The ONLY point I was making was that DP allows for manufacturer engagement whereas 2017 ACO P2 specifically forbids it.
A shot a Le Mans is a nice link but its no reason for IMSA to accept ACO regs completely, and is the reason why they've developed the DPi concept.
>but it hardly renders the concept of DPi irrelevant.
I never fucking said it did. In fact I specifically said several times that it was the route they would most likely take, because it allows for manufacturer involvement. YOU are the one suggesting they ought to scrap it completely and accept ACO regs wholesale.

It wasn't a flesh eating bacteria causing the loss of tissue but necrosis due too Purpura fulminans which is a thrombotic disorder in which the blood vessels coagulate. It is caused by defects in the protein C anticoagulant pathway which can be caused by sepsis.
It's rather rare and if detected in time can be managed extremely well by jamming in FFP and Protein C.

I believe it was one lawyer who moved next to the race track and immediately bitched that it's loud when there's a race, gaining traction among the populace around for whatever reason.
Even FIA swallowed dick and almost cancelled an F1 race a few years ago.

I'd go with potato.
>In 2012, a French businessman called Frédéric Sausset scratched his finger while on vacation in the southwest of France. Tragically, the scratch rapidly led to a life-threatening infection (necrotizing fasciitis) which left Sausset a quadruple amputee.

Ferrari in charge of electrics
>>68674495
They are separated by megajoules classes.
As of last year, audi used flywheels to store its power, whereas toyota used supercapacitors. Don't know about porsche or 2016 cars.
At slow speeds they use electric drive only.
Other than that they are used simultaniously.

This is just straight satanic witchcraft shit. How many orphan babies Porsche had to sacrifice back in Stuttgart for this win must be unfathomable.

I cant take this, can anyone confirm the ferrari penalty for me? If they got blackflagged im not watching le mans ever again.
>>68676105
Get over it fanboy. Ferrari breaks the rules all the time.
What were they flagging Ferrari for? Internets died.
>>68676445
Problem with the leader lights on the side of the car.
>>68676490
Didn't know they flagged you for those things failing, they dont seem that important. I thought that the guys brake lights had failed.
