Under Hue, I'm hopeful RGIII can make a comeback and win CPOTY, but at the same time I feel like my hopes could turn around.
Regardless, Hue knows how to run an offense and will make good use of the weapons he has (Duke Johnson, Corey Coleman, Terrelle Pryor, RGIII) AND he's put together an absolutely stellar coaching staff.
I'm excited as fuck.

The qb situation isn't awful either, sure it's not great, but let's give Kaep and gabbert an actual chance with Chip before we make judgements. Guys, let's be honest. Ozzie Newsome has lost his old drafting talent. If the ravens were smart, they'd fire his ass right now. Instead they'll sit on it for four years until it's completely undeniable.

>Guys, let's be honest. Ozzie Newsome has lost his old drafting talent. If the ravens were smart...
>Agholor
Why did Chip have to fall for the USC WR meme
>>68406229
No one is perfect but Ozzie Newsome is still a top 3 GM in football. It's between him, Schnider and that guy in Arizona
>>68406153
But the Vikings don't have super bowl talent right now, RIGHT NOW. The only reason to think a team is going to win a super bowl soon but not immediately is if they have a young, very promising qb. The Vikings don't have that. Also, the pats o line isn't that bad. There were a lot of injuries last year and they still made it to the afcc. All of this is moot, though. The pats and Seahawks have better teams than the Vikings right now, better coaching, and bridge water may be acceptable but has shown no signs of being anywhere near elite.

Will this meme ever end? It's like people don't know the gm does more than draft players. Not that bills a bad drafter. When you consider how much lower his team record-dependent picks are than the average and how long he's been doing it, he's definitely top 5 drafting league wide but is probably even better than that, honestly.
>>68406418
Belicheat has had Brady to bail his ass out when he has a few bad drafts
>>68406418
Belichick is shit. Put Brady with any other coach and he'd have twice the amount of superbowls (8). However, Brady is a Belichick babby and wouldn't start on the majority of NFL teams.
>>68406418
belichick is a pretty shitty offensive drafter for anything other than linemen and tight ends
i feel like he's not great at DBs either but the defensive system he runs is good enough that you can't tell until they go to another team
>>68405170
Kaepernick is fucking trash, if I see him on the field when the season starts it will take everything I have to not drink poison. I was literally praying Elway would be an absolute madman and take that piece of garbage off of this fucking team.
>"You can win with a decent QB."
Ok, so who do we have that is decent? Blaine Gabbert was better than I thought he'd be, but I still have no faith in him. The one game (I think it was Chicago?) where he actually did well was a meme game because all the catches were fucking miraculous. And you already know how I feel about Kaepernick.
And I do know the next few draft classes will be shit for QBs. Look at them if you don't believe me. The next decent choice is in 2019, Tanner Mangum better be our fucking pick that year.

god you entitled fucks really piss me off, kaep shockingly isn't as good after you got rid of the coach that made him and suddenly he's the worst draft pick you ever made
>>68406603
cassel was bretty good, but literally the only reason hoyer and mallett are even still in the league is because they were brady's backups, not because they're actually any good at all
he's a better defensive drafter because that's where most of his expertise is
>>68406536
I'm glad you like Tanner Mangum, figured I was the only one who liked him. But Blaine is decent. And Kaep I'm willing to bet can be under Chip too. Ideally though I'd like Tanner as well
>>68406555
DeShaun is an absolute fucking meme. Don't even mention him in the same sentence as Tanner.
>>68406624
>you mean playing well enough to take the team to consecutive NFCCGs?
You're giving Kap credit for that?
>wasn't the defense running all over the packers
You're right, he had literally one game where he went off and rushed for like 180 yards and broke the record. Big fucking deal, I'll take a QB that throws and is consistent over your meme machines any day. Aren't you a Philly fag? You're used to memes.
>after you got rid of the coach that made him
So you admit Coach Harbaugh was the reason we got to 2 Championships? And now our sorry ass owner fired him for literally no reason.
>You're entitled!
Eat my ass.
>>68406536
Also, Tanner went on a mission. He wasn't a true freshman. I'm pretty sure he could enter the draft as soon as next year if he wanted.
>>68406633
I'm not sure about Blaine yet. I'll get back to you on him when I see consistency. Kaep on the other hand, well, we know what we're going to get with him. I was praying we could get rid of him and Elway would do us a solid. Can't blame him for taking Dirty Sanchez over our meme machine though. Guy doesn't even want to be in San Fran anymore and we held on to him, the very same owner who fired Harbaugh is responsible for that.

>>68406689
He had all those injuries as well though, I'd reckon that hurt his play a good bit. We'll see what happens. I wouldn't bet he'd ever be great, but I'd be willing to bet he won't be as bad as we saw last year.
>>68406703
>Deshaun
Black QBs are a meme, when will you learn this?
>>68406708
Yeah, running quarterbacks get fucked all the time. That is why I don't like them.
>>68406703
DeShaun had and probably still has 3 times the team around him that Tanner does. Clemson is a fucking wide receiver producing machine. BYU never has been as far as I can remember outside of Austin Collie. They've always been predominantly known for their QB's and to a lesser extent their TE's. Although now their shipping out some more players on defense.
>>68406723
Kaep rarely took big hits on his runs. The injuries probably came from the amount of sacks he was taking.
>>68406746
My point stands though, running QBs are way more likely to get hurt. Russel Wilson is the only extremely mobile QB I have seen that makes the risk worth it since he is also pretty damn reliable passing.
Michael Vick will always be the stamp for why I hate mobile QBs. He was exciting to watch, could fling the ball a hundred yards like it was nothing, but as soon as he played longer than a few years everything dropped off.

You guys have 3 fat qb contracts, should have taken lynch and have him sit or go in when Bradford tears an all. Wentz got hyped right before the draft during the college season he was seen as a late 1st early second not a "trade everything and get him qb" like luck or Winston
>>68436449
good luck going to jail for life
>>68436472
If they gave him that much it's because he was commanding that much in the market, a talent like this that's homegrown you have to pay a lot more in order to keep
We already addressed all the most glaring holes (aside from QB and CB) through FA anyway so cap space is a non-issue, especially sine DeMemeco and Memewell are gone

That 100% depends on your defensive philosophy. What is pretty universally true is that marque pass rushers are the most crucial defensive assets. Cox is their best pass rusher and probably still will be even though he's transitioning inside.

It's $10+ a year guaranteed as an extension. The only year all 3 QBs are cap concerners is this year...the same year that Cox is still on host rookie deal. Sam is probably done after this year and won't matter much on the books next year.
The finances are more than fine.
>>68437287
>you can't put that much money on cox when you have 3 big qb contracts on your cap
They only have 2 big QB contracts, and one will be gone at the end of the year. Chase Daniel's isn't big and it's basically only a 2 year deal because of how small the cap hit in year 3 is.

You're right senpai this is totally comparable to signing Murray or Maxwell

>it gives me my weekly fill of televised sex and violence.
if that's pretty much all the story has been boiled down to, then it's a god damn travesty.
>>68437287
Suh was made less effective because of a bad overall defense. Some of it came as a surprise (Wake's injury, Grimes regressing) but there were red flags that they did nothing to address (injury-prone LB corps, weak secondary, no depth outside of the defensive line) that made it hard for him to look as good as he did in Detroit. He was never going to live up to that contract, but considering he didn't really have any support around him besides Vernon and Jones, he was still an asset to the team.
What pisses me off is all of those problems are still there and they didn't do anything to fix them. They traded for an injury-prone LB, Jones is still the only proven player in the secondary, and all depth signings went to the defensive line again. If a single starter on that defense is injured or Alonso/Maxwell don't pan out, it's gonna be another long season.
