I did like deadspin reporting on internal shit going on at ESPN. Some would call that tabloid shit, but it's also interesting to have light shed on the inner workings of a sports monolith. Feels like so many people are so happy to see "sjws/leftists?/etc lose" that they're missing the bigger picture. But a lot of them are /pol/ xposters, so it's expected.
It doesn't mean what everyone thinks it means. It protects Gawker's assets so they can't be seized by Hogan.
They will be auctioned off, the money will go into escrow until the appeal process is completed where either Hogan or Denton will keep.
The important part to note is that there are literally TONS of sjw liberal outlets with the money to take on Gawker, and there will be many that bid.
This removes Denton from the picture, but Gawker media as a group will continue to function as normal. Nobody is ponying up 100+ mil for Gawker to totally change it into a respectable outlet.
