During their qualifying campaign they were at least as good as Ireland. They only finished below the Irish because the Germans carelessly dropped points against Ireland.
And Scotland deserved something from the game they played in Germany.

They missed out because they lost to Georgia. We drew with and beat Germany, so it wasn't a one-off fluke result by us that cost them.
Scotland should have gotten something against Germany, but they bottled it. They could have won either of their games with Poland, but they bottled it. They should have been able to stay ahead of us in the last stretch, but they bottled it.
It's not our job to save Scotland from themselves or step aside gallantly when they fuck up.
