I don't remember 1998 too well (I was 7 years old). I do remember kicking around a France '98 ball, much like pic related. And I definitely remember other France '98 memorabilia as well. I just don't remember watching any of the matches because I wasn't so interested in it then.
But I remember 2002 well (I was 11). It was really exciting what was happening with England. We watched a couple of the matches at school on TV, I guess because it was near the end of term so they let us. The fact that we got to the quarters and were facing Brazil was pretty awesome. Obviously we then pulled an England but still. The excitement at that age was pretty captivating.
