Why is there no third place match in the euros?

It was Germany against Portugal, but it was actually a pretty fun match even if it's always played with substitutes. The 2010 one was entertaining too and it had a fantastic goal by Forlan.

I think it's ok to keep it in the WC, the teams that remain have been in the host country for so long that they might as well let them play an extra match for a consolation prize and watching it on saturday makes for a nice light appetizer for the big event the following day.

However goals scored in that meme match should not count for the golden boot.
