But, when my husband was in the hospital for surgery a couple years ago, it was playoffs, and he's a baseball fan, so I'd watch w/ him and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. If I'm going to watch something, I want to know how it all works, so at first I had a thousand questions (I only understood very basic rules of the game), and when I actually started to understand some of the nuances of the game, it became even more enjoyable. The next season, we watched every game of the Mariners (we're from Seattle), they didn't have a very good season but we'd watch anyways, and I loved getting to know all the players. I am so excited that they are doing so well this year! A couple years ago, I could never imagine I would want to watch a 3 hour (or more) baseball game nearly every day. Now, I am sad when they have a day off. Still, that is a lot of time to invest, so often we have to other things while the game is on, but like you said, you can hear when something good is happening, then watch the replay (or rewind w/ DVR). We also like to record them all anyway, so we can skip commercials. GO MARINERS!!! I never in a million years thought I'd actually like baseball more than football. I feel like a traitor even admitting that! Also, I got to go to my first baseball game last week! We went to Denver and saw the Rockies beat Arizona. Great seats and SOOOOO Much fun. My husband even taught me how to do one of those score card things. I can't wait to go see a Mariners game!
