>Haloti Ngata will never take you under his wing
>>
>>67694117
Is A'Shawn athletic or speedy? Seems like Ngata is just a big guy there to eat up blockers and help the other members of the Dline. They need an athletic pass rusher next to him.
>>
>>67694168
Robinson will be the same role as Ngata, every other DT they have is a hybrid pass-rusher type.
>>
>>67694168
>Body beautiful for an interior lineman. Well-proportioned with powerful, tree trunk legs make it tough to move him off the spot. Has boom in his punch and dislodges guards and centers if they try and wait on him. Pure power to toss a one-on-one block aside. Athletic enough to give reasonable chase to the ball. Well-schooled in using length to stuff cut blocks. Has frame and length to eat blocks and allow linebackers to run free. Heavy tackler. Running backs do not break his tackles and he rarely fails to finish when hes locked in on his target. Able to generate pocket push when he gets it cranked up as a pass rusher. Boss man in the locker room and in practice helping to hold teammates accountable. Coming into the draft with relatively fresh legs playing just 57 percent of Alabama's defensive snaps over last two seasons. Has brute force to match NFL power immediately.

Expecting a deep rotation this year with all the guys they have desu

The only change I can see coming out of the NFC is a different team struggling to the top of the shitheap that is the NFC East.

Maybe, and this is a very big maybe, another team could take the 6 seed from the Vikings.

Peterson may have had a year off, but he was still drafted the same year as Calvin and Lynch, he's a freak of a human being but the regression is coming in the next 2 years.

Cards are my pick to go all the way, but have proven to be a very fragile team. Seahawks have literal traffic cones protecting their only good offensive player right now.

It's not out of the realm of possibility for none of those teams to make the playoffs given we haven't seen a single snap.

Shit even the Panthers have a massive target on their back and everyone was just hand-delivered a blueprint on how to beat them with the Superbowl.

You can always rely on crazy shit happening in the NFL which is why the reliable 'Same 6 teams from last season' is always going to be a wrong answer.

There isn't a hole in their roster in the regular season, and in the post season I think that Palmer will be able to pull himself together this time well enough so that their stacked defense is able to hold off the other teams
>>
>>67694670
Only WC teams are Vikings/Lions, Redskins/Cowboys, Seahawks/Cardinals

Unless Palmer dies/regression then NFCW has a WC team

If Romo is healthy and Cousins wasn't a fluke then it's pretty much a 2 team race

And if Jim Bob Cooter is actually not a meme, and Stafford isn't a Megatron babby then it's a battle for the WC
>>
>>67694784

I know, but I have hope that he was embarrassed enough during the NFCCG that he found fuel to fight out of the playoff fright. But this year's his chance, they beefed up their defense to aid him with the number of points he has to put up, and the o-line is the best its going to be with 3 very good vets, a first rounder who got a year to learn, and a hopefully a decent center. This year is the Cards last shot with the added power they have, and after this year they have to pay too many people, plus age. I'm anxious for this season, because it could either be amazing or heartbreaking

Ben is old and breakinig down. That and he throws too many picks. Your offensive line being shit doesn't help.

Your RB is made out of glass and your offense is generally overrated. You statpadded against shit teams but got shut down by top defenses.

Oh and you just glossed over your shit defense. Your secondary is complete crap and you literally drafted someone named BURNS... top fuckin jej

How does such a mediocre team get so much praise year in and year out? If they had the talent to match the amount of "great players" they've had for the past 4 years, they'd have won more than one playoff game. And maybe won their goddamn division once or twice

AB immediately makes you at least good at WR. 90% of WRs can make an impact if the #1 WR needs double coverage every down. Pittsburgh will easily be in the top 10 for passing yards. I don't even care who else plays.

Bell is a great receiving option, too, so what's the problem, dipshit?

it's not so much that the skillset is unique, but rather a combination of circumstantial things. there's scheme fit and gap coverage that might differ, or simply that the best pass protector/pass rusher plays on the blindside just cause. then you have to take into account that players used to being on one side have already ingrained the habits to do it that way, and going to the other side is like doing everything in a mirror. because of that, people get labeled into one side or another based on how their athleticism, size, and footwork matches up with their peers or potential landing spots, and once they're stuck with that label they don't get much opportunities to switch.

all that said, interior offensive linemen have more fluidity between them than tackles or defensive ends. left tackles have to worry more about their speed and footwork than right tackles, and defensive ends can be used quite differently depending on the scheme. not just between left and right, but play to play or team to team. interior linemen have pretty standardized (yet difficult) duties, but generally if you've got two guards and one is a better run blocker and the other is a better pass blocker, you should put the better pass blocker on the left.

They can be, but the RE is usually the best pass rusher (because if he beats the blocker he can get a free hit at the QB, since he is facing the other way).
Some (Watt, for example) can move and play LE, RE or even DT depending on match-ups
>>
>>67702979
There are really two roles ends/edges play: SAM (strong-side linebacker) and LEO (weak-side end). SAMs usually are a bit smaller, but are capable of setting the edge against TE's in the run game and doing well in shallow zones. LEOs are your rush ends, and must be good at containing the backside on run plays and especially good at rushing the passer. Some teams, like the Raiders last year, have players that play both roles interchangeably, and this is what you usually see from 3-4 teams. Mack was mostly on the left side and played LEO/SAM depending on where the tight end lined up. Even traditional 4-3 teams line up in under/over fronts which look a ton like 3-4 fronts, with the SAM up on the line of scrimmage in a kind of a 5-2 look.

reminder that having a meh roster means shit all when you have a top 3-4 QB. 6 wins is a worst case scenario floor if Brees doesn't get injured. Trying to predict if/when a Matt Schaub type drop is also extremely hard, so it's more probable to expect typical Brees production.
>>
>>67703322
Flacco also had a pretty elite run game with Rice... Flaccid sucks and had 1 career year

>>67703405
Not denying that Flacco is an overrated interception machine, but a) he was inhured for half of last season and b) a QB does need some reliable targets to throw the ball to and a good offensive line so he doesn't hit the dirt every second play to succeed.

here's an attempt to project Green Bays offense based in part on past statistics. my methodology was pretty inconsistent and at time I was forced to make some arbitrary judgment calls, still all things considered it didn't turn out as retarded as I thought it would.

They thought he ruined the Eagles, starting with trading away Jackson because "muh gangs", all the draft moves and not being a good GM. But now that he's left, it turns out that it's actually the Eagles organization that is shit.

Chip is aight in my book

I know it's just autism and pretty heavily weighted with 0% real world relevance

cut a bunch of people that probably shouldn't have been cut and likes to build teams around schemes rather than his players strengths

He actually built an alright defense but 1 bad season as an offense and philly fans go nuts. It's exactly why the Eagles will never win a superbowl

Could he do better as a coach in SF considering Baalke makes all the personnel decisions?

So now that the Jags' offseason is officially ruined, did he officially have the best offseason in the league?
>>
>>67705818
Nope that goes to the Redskins
>>
>>67705816
maybe, like lelvis said>>67705691 he tried rebuilding the eagles around a set scheme instead of the players strength

Now that he has no power in trade he has to show if he can coach

hall of fame is such a broad thing due to rings vs stats. Based on his rings, and how he got them, he deserves to be in as much as it pains me to say. From an actual quarterbacking point of view, I believe he would be statistically the worst QB to get in, especially for playing in the pass happy era of the mid 2000s-2010s. Does anyone have the graphic of actual HOFers vs Eli and I think Romo?

>He actually built an alright defense but 1 bad season as an offense and philly fans go nuts. It's exactly why the Eagles will never win a superbowl
nice meme
the eagles will one day win a super bowl
chip kelly will NEVER, EVER win a super bowl

The defense wasn't built by him in the slightest with the exception of getting malcolm jenkins
current cornerstones on the defense had already been on the team without him that being fletcher cox, bennie logan, connor barwin, mychal kendricks, brandon graham have all been on the team and are all talented players
Kelly is absolute dogshit
the defense and special teams being able to win games when his retarded offense has been shut down is a testament to how talented the team is defensively
The defense is always playing tired and play an equivalent of 20 NFL games based on amount of snaps, they are out of gas by week 10

/sp/ isn't ready to see the non meme eagles with this scary defense, it isn't new, it is just not being ran into the ground anymore

the bad offensive season is completely his fault as well, he put all his chips and a 2nd in for bradford who he felt had untapped potential, then he got rid of lesean mccoy for being a speed runner and signed demarco murray, and made demarco murray run sweeps to the sidelines instead of through gaps. he removed desean jackson for no reason what so ever.
He got rid of Todd Herremans with absolutely no one to fill either guard gap, not even drafting or signing one, and wondered why the run game sucked all year and he couldn't protect the qb.

then Chip Kelly blames the players for everything

that 2nd rounder is still hurting us now, we can have gotten tyler boyd- my draftfu- with it, or we could have gotten a guard or cornerback, hell even A'shawn Robinson was still on the board and we could just have an enormous wealth at D line more than we already have and traded bennie logan for a 2nd and more if he wants a huge contract
