Every day there will be certain games/horses which are PTL, Meaning each customer is only allowed a certain amount on that specific bet.
Most likely it will be a high profile game like Utd Palace and you'll be allowed a limit of say £100 at 4/5 then if you want any more on the game you will get pushed back and the remainder will be at a worse price. But only if a trader says yes to your request, more often than not the traders say yes.
If you're betting on really obscure teams or markets then more than likely those games/bets/prices wont be in the shop system so we'll have to ring up regardless for a price on whatever bet you want.
If you wanted more money on the games though, you could get someone else to put the same bet on for you or go round all the different shops.
Some customers are what we call PTL all bets. Any single bet they make is referred to a trader. And if you're PTL all bets you might be limited to £10 max @ evs on a certain bet where as a normal customer will be able to have £100 max on it @ evs.
If you start large staking bets in shop regularly you might start to get monitored, meaning the manager will create a log of all your bets showing him all your stakes for that day/week/month as well as profit and loss. If you get logged properly with head office then you will be monitored in all shops in that area and then your bets will be at the discretion of traders as to whether they accept the bet.
