Couple that with the fact that the average person either eats fast food or goes to a dine-in restaurant that serves 1000+ calorie servings for lunch and does the same thing for dinner 50% of the time and you have people eating WAY too many calories on a daily basis. The only solution is for people to dramatically change their eating habits but that's not likely to happen any time soon.

I learned a lot about nutrition in that course and we cooked every Friday. They changed the course from a "college level" to a university level course to encourage more students to take it, so they also increased course content about nutrition not just cooking
